Katie was very nice, food very good.
I love this place, however they were not ready for the dinner crowd when we were there. Service was very slow, with our server not checking in with us very often. It took about 10 mins to put in a drink order, and then another 15 or so to get our drinks. When our server brought our drinks we put in our food order since we had already been there for a while. Food was slow to come out, as well, to where we had to ask if our appetizers would be coming out with our meal. Our server was very nice and apologetic, saying they weren't prepared for how busy they were that night. Food is always good and I will be back. Just an off night, service-wise.
Elliot is seriously the best server I have ever had! I was SO happy to see her at this location and she made my first dining out event since March the most comfortable and pleasant experience. I NEVER order quinoa dishes but she said it was her favorite and NOW ITS MINE! She recommended a wine I hadn’t tried and now it’s also my favorite wine!
First time experiencing The Daily Kitchen. My husband and I loved everything about it. The modern and clean decor, the knowledgeable and personal waitress and last but most importantly THE FOOD was amazing. Fresh, tantalizing, savory are just a few words to describe our meals. We will be returning.
Great food and clean eating! Great employees! Love it has alot of vegan and vegetarian options.
Outstanding food. Especially love sweet potato fries, beet and arugula salad. Tasty hamburger.
The food was amazing and the service was great. A great environment for a laid-back brunch.
We love this place! Was so happy it's finally open again.
Met a friend. Great server, great food and easy to find.
Excellent food and the staff did practice all requirements for a safe dining experience.
Everything on the menu is good. We love this place
Everyone at the restaurant was really friendly and efficient. Our server Jamie was extremely nice, informative and helpful.
Amazing food. Fresh and healthy! Great service and beer selection as well.
Nice to have a place to meet during the pandemic. Excellent service.
This restaurant has done an excellent job at reopening prior to COVID. I was very thankful to be able to visit one of my favorite places! Keep up the great work, everyone!
We enjoyed eating out as “reopening” begins. The staff was very attentive and were able to seat us earlier than our reservation - very convenient! Food was really great and we had plenty of time to relax and to enjoy. Road noise was a bit too loud but gave us something to look at and to talk about!
Sat on the porch. LOVED the pork and fig jam pizza! SO nice to be back in a restaurant.
Restaurant management is top notch and is establishing a safe place to eat outside. Food is good and service fantastic.
Highly recommend. Love the outdoor space. Love the menu. Glad to see them open early as we need some healthy good food restaurants.
Awesome outdoor atmosphere, excellent service, outstanding food and drinks (the crispy Brussel sprouts alone are worth the visit, as are the Expat and the Blackberry Basil Margarita)... can't wait to go back! Brunch next time!
It was our first night out since the re-opening and it was great!!
The food was phenomenal and the servers took care to clean surfaces (including chairs) between diners. After a long time in quarantine, The Daily was the perfect spot to celebrate.
Put us on front patio. Right on Broad St. very very noisy. Rainy too. Chelsey was great server but only so so exoerience
Still knocking the kinks out after being closed for a while but overall good experience.
I have been to the Daily numerous times, and I think maybe our waitress was just overwhelmed with tables as we were there for almost 2 hours, waiting almost 20 minutes for just our check, when someone else brought it over. The resturant itself was not busy, but I think maybe she just had extra tables so it delayed the service slightly. We had a great celebration meal, but towards the end, everyone was just antsy to pay and get out.
Really great food. Honestly, better than I expected. All 4 of our party agree. Great service and excellent timing from order to delivery
I've been to the Carytown location several times and loved it. This was my first time going to the Short Pump location. While the restaurant was trendy and the food was very tasty, it was way overpriced and a bit loud. They also had a very strange bathroom layout, where everyone (men ) I paid $27 for 3 scallops, cooked with brussels sprouts. I'm not kidding. I likely won't go back, but if I do, I'll stay away from the entrees. I just can't bring myself to knowingly pay $27 for 3 scallops.
Excellent, healthy menu choices - grain bowls, salmon, DELICIOUS!
The Daily in Short Pump is just OK, overpriced and loud. My opinion, make the trip to the Daily on Cary St, much better experience
We traveled from Tappahannock to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We had an amazing experience. Food was excellent as was the service.
Overall our group of 7 had a very enjoyable experience. I have been to this restaurant four or five times and always had very good food and very good service. The only reason I gave the food a good rating this time, instead of very good, was because of my meal. I had the lump crab and goat cheese omelette. I didn't expect a large quantity of crab but I was hopeful that the crab and goat cheese would stand out in the dish. They did not. The egg part of the dish, which if I had to guess was a liquid egg product, was thick and hid the flavor of the small amount of crab and cheese. The egg on my wife's egg sandwich was similar but she said it was still a good sandwich, not a great sandwich. Again, all of my other meals at this restaurant have been delicious and I certainly will return whenever possible.
very slow service. sat without my drink filled first least 10 mins at a time. Also requested hot sauce with my meal and took 10 minutes to come from the waitress. just not a good service day.
Food was fantastic! Love numerous vegetarian options. Server was attentive, helpful, and very friendly.
Enjoyable. Good service.
The food we received was way to expensive for what we received. The food itself was good but not great. It was cold and the steak was tough.
Bad seafood meal, room we sat in was freezing to the point others asked to move. Just not a good experience for a place I loved in the past.
Extraordinary value given the quality and ambience. Very clean environment. Staff seemed well-seasoned. Tim S
We had a friend in town who is vegan and you guys have options that appeal to her! Thanks for being our go to!
Great experience for a group of ladies for a baby sprinkle! Everything was delicious!
This was our first time to the Short Pump location, and we were impressed! The decor is vibrant and inviting. We were seated immediately, and almost as immediately, Lauren M came by. She was a wonderfully bubbly server and made some solid food and drink recommendations. My wife had the Angus burger; she enjoyed it very much! I tried the Teriyaki bowl; very punchy flavors, which I like. Be sure to ask for their soy sauce; it cut the spiciness perfectly (another Lauren recommendation). For dessert, my wife had the Espresso Creme brulee and I had the carrot cake; both were delicious! Lots of GF/vegan/vegetarian options; you won't be disappointed!
