The Daily Kitchen and Bar Restaurant-Carytown
It’s a favorite “go to” restaurant for when we don’t want to eat at home.
I am gluten-free. It was fabulous to have an entire menu to choose from. The roasted brussels sprouts appetizer recommended by our server was so good that my mom said next time we go she's not sharing. ;)
Super delicious vegan entrees. Extremely helpful and polite wait staff who double and triple-checked that our celiac friend’s order was absolutely GF
Father’s 85th birthday brunch. Great food and service.
The Daily never disappoints. The breakfast sandwiches were the best and their cocktails are always a hit. (I've enjoyed them both at dinner and brunch). The pancakes weren't as described - no toppings - but were good. They are also good about offering gluten free options and listing them clearly on the menu. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I appreciate being able to make a reservation for brunch - especially when I'm with a large group.
Server was friendly and efficient. Food was very good. Nice atmosphere. Will come back again!
I was dining alone and opted to eat at the bar. The food was excellent. Recommendations from staff were helpful, for food and wine. Would eat there again any time.
As always the service and food were amazing. Thanks for a real good time!
We visited The Daily during Restaurant Week. We got a three course meal for $29.19. All of the courses were delicious. And we had the best waitress ever: Sam. I would definitely recommend that you try The Daily!
Great! It was a great meal.
We always enjoy going to The Daily and it never disappoints.
We met our son there for dinner. Our first time and it was wonderfully delicious. It was great to find an array of vegetarian & vegan options along with the other choices. We live in Charlottesville so we will be making this a restaurant of choice. Well done!
Wonderful service. Food was exceptional, perfect blend of freshness and taste
Pleasant casual dining atmosphere. Very tasty vegan/vegetarian menu items— the Buddah Bowl was a standout. Will return to experience other options.
We waited almost an hour for our food and then one item never came and one item was incorrect. They were apologetic and took two of the things off the bill, but it was crazy disorganized. I would give it another chance based on the food, but the service was horrendous.
The food was not very good. The buttermilk pancakes were tough, the pork sausage had no taste. The home fries were way too salty and the hollandaise for the eggs Benedict was too lemony and peppery, nearly inedible.
Beautiful inside and out. Great selection of entrees. Service was good but not exceptional. All in my party loved their entree selections. In the cool upscale Carytown area of Richmond.
The Pig & Fig Pizza and the Spicy Avocado Bowl with Pork Carnitas were delicious, and the wait staff service was great. Only complaint: The decibel level of restaurant noise was pretty high but the piped techno music (a monotonous thumping type of sound) was really unpleasant. The restaurant should consider using a different type of sound track.
We had a wonderful Host a wait staff and the food was well valued and was very good. We enjoyed the atmosphere and they restaurant staff was aware of our business meeting and did not rush us at all.
Food is really good, service makes a turtle seem fast
Delicious food. SUPER noisy.
Decent ambiance, good service, but the food is so hit or miss.
Ask for Luke! He’s the best waiter at the Carytown Daily. Food is mostly good and so many options for Gluten Free and Vegan. Nice outdoor seating. Full bar.
Excellent food and service. My wife is on a Keto diet and found the menu to be very accommodating. “Best salad I’ve ever had” is a direct quote.
We had tickets to a play, so we asked for expedited service. No problem! We were done with time to spare. I couldn’t even finish my meal because there was so much food.
Cost wise, I’ve ordered entree’s at other restaurants that were more than our total bill at the Daily Kitchen. We’ll definitely be going back.
Perfect end to a wonderful morning.
very delicious dinner. We had steak, fish, and tacos for entrées. All were cooked perfectly. We had the cauliflower to start and it was awesome. We’ll return frequently.
Have been here before. The food is good but overpriced. Made a reservation and wrote in that I wanted a patio seat because of my dog. Got there and they told me they don't do patio reservations and dogs aren't allowed. Wish they had read what I wrote and contacted me before I made my way there.
Food and service excellent.
We love going to The Daily specifically for their healthier menu options. Everything we’ve ordered has been fantastic
Fabulous first experience
The fly problem is out of control. This is the second dinner I’ve had ruined by hordes of flies coming in because they leave the front door open for hour at a time. It’s disgusting and unsanitary. I won’t be returning.
Food and service was good. Our table waa ready on time. Everyone enjoyed the food.
Our dinner at the Daily was very nice. The food was good, the service was good especially since one person in our group had a food allergy, and the atmosphere was good. It is a bit loud in there on a Friday night, but it is clearly people having fun.
Very upbeat and comfortable decor! Elliott N was our server; she was extremely engaging with us! She knew the menu well and made great recommendations. My wife loved the chicken pannini, although she says the tomatoes were soft. The turkey burger is one of the best I've had. We also enjoyed the fried calamari as well. The ingredients they use seem wholesome. We'll definitely return!
Our server was excellent. He masterfully balanced the art of being there when we needed something but being invisible at the same time. Very polite and engaging but not pushy. The food was fantastic. I love their Buddha Bowls. I had never had beet hummus but it's delicious.
My only complaint, if I can even call it that, is the noise level. It's not terrible as the space is very large and open - literally open with two entire walls that open to the outside. But with so many people it is a bit loud. But then again, I'm an introvert who prefers small, intimate dinners. Others may really enjoy the energy.
I have nothing bad to say about The Daily Kitchen. It is a great vegetarian/vegan option in a town that does not have a lot of great options in that area.
Food and service were excellent as always. We've eaten there many times and noticed this before...too many flies inside. Perhaps need an air blower machine above the entrance door?
Fun cocktails, great selection of fresh food for varied tastes (rice noodle bowl, tacos, and a burger), capped off with prompt, friendly service from Sam. We’ll be back soon!
There is something for everyone at The Daily Kitchen and Bar! Their menu has a wide variety of options, something to suit all guests! They also have vegan and gluten-free options. Delicious dinner - we will definitely be back!
Delicious healthy food, locally sourced. Consistent friendly and attentive service.
Food was good, I was impressed with the teamwork of the servers, although one of them forgot two things. Will go back
