The Daily Catch - Woodstock
We started serving pasta in the pan out of necessity. We had no plates! It’s become who we are, more than food & drink we are an experience. The pan captures the lasting memory of how delicious the pasta tasted.

We had an amazing meal last night in celebration of our anniversary. What a gem! The food was incredible, I had the scallops and black pasta and my husband had the fra Diablo. The scallops were perfectly cooked. Everything was so tasty. We’ll be thrilled to return and look forward to introducing others to this great restaurant!
Fantastic food, white olive oil/clam sauce with scallops was great. Woman owner was very entertaining. She was a little overwhelmed due to staff shortages like many restaurants. We enjoyed the evening and were not in a hurry like some patrons. Would recommend to anyone wanting a small initmate seafood place in Woodstock.
Our experience was wonderful! Felt like home, terrific staff and our meals were phenomenal, Halibut and Salmon. We were
So pleased with this choice for dinner!
Delicious food. Fun and gracious owners. It feels like home.
The experience at The Daily Catch was good. There was nothing awful and nothing outstanding. Covid protocols were in place and we felt comfortable. They were able to accommodate my gluten sensitivity which was a plus. The fish was fresh, the price was reasonable.
The best seafood ever
Fresh and tasty Maria is wonderful
The fish and shell fish from Ethan wood wood mountain is great
Out of 10 stars this restaurant is 11 every time
We enjoyed our experience in this small, fairly intimate, restaurant. Food was great. Waiter was a ball of fire and took care of us while training a new member of the wait staff. Wine list could be a bit broader. However, wine we had was delicious and food was excellent. Scallops for my wife and mussels with linguini for me....mmmmmm good. All around great dinner.
Dinner was fantastic. Staff was helpful in answering any questions about menu items. No one rushed us, making it a delicious, enjoyable meal. Will definitely go there when we are in area again.
The food was excellent, great beers and entertaining staff.
We were there early in the afternoon and i can imagine it would be even better in the evening. Our meals were terrific, the atmosphere was nice and our host was super friendly and easy to talk to.
Excellent food. Wonderful service.
Food was amazing, the seafood fra diabolo special for 2 to die for. Will be back soon!
Great little seafood spot. Perfect portion sizes, fantastic recipes, not too expensive. Cocktails were great, desserts were very good- and they do take out. 4.5/5.0!
Fabulous evening. Terrific dinner, beautiful music, great decor, charming service. Looking forward to returning soon and I often.
Our mussels were wonderful as was our wine!
Our second visit and will be returning!
The food is amazing. The ambience is just as good. The meal is as good as any Italian seafood restaurant anywhere in the world. Being from Boston we were happy to eat multiple nights at the Woodstock location. The food in the North End is awesome as well. When the food tastes the same throughout various locations you have to appreciate the hard work and sincerity in every dish. You feel welcomed from the moment Maria says hello.. it was like being at home...perfect blend of sarcasm and great food!!!
Was so fun to be there! Just like before the pandemic..........
Food was delicious and you truly can get amazing seafood here, which I can’t really say about anywhere else in the Upper Valley. We used to live in Boston and it’s clear the restaurant was borne there. Intimate and laidback dining experience. Owner and manager was super personable and we greatly enjoyed dining there. Will be back!
Owner was offended because I asked
Seated away from corner area. Claustrophobic
The restaurant opened just 2 days prior to our visit (which happened to be on Valentine’s Day) after being closed due to Covid. Even though owner was the only wait staff, she was great! Even being closed for sometime, they did not miss a beat! Food was fantastic and service was so friendly! Will definitely be back!
This was all very unfortunate. I usually never leave a bad review, but me and my boyfriend were so excited to try these guys for Valentine’s Day (just a few days after they reopened). We set a reservation through Open Table the day before. When we arrived there was a closed sign in the door and restaurant was dark. We walked up to the door and the owner was getting out of her car abs told us she was running behind that day. Didn’t invite us to come in, or tell us there would be a little wait and seemed very short while unlocking and letting herself in. It all made us feel very unwelcome. We we have ended up leaving (we weren’t really sure what else to do as the place was still technically closed. It was now 3:40 and our reservation was supposed to be at 3:30)
Maybe this is the fault of open table? Or the restaurant not listening correct hrs but the point was we DID have a reservation, were very excited to try this new place (not to mention very hungry) and it was extremely difficult to fine a place to eat on V-day afterwards. We had to settle for the Public house which was fine but it wasn’t the special occasion it should have been...
Point being- double check your reservation here seems like this has been an ongoing problem for them.
We’d love to try this restaurant, & to be able to give a good review, but now I’m unsure how u feel about the entire thing!
The atmosphere , the service and the food were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the experience !
Happened upon "The Daily Catch" by accident with my wife while in Woodstock VT. Wanted to have an Italian meal. Who would've thought Woodstock Vt. would have these guys?
Had the Black Squid Ink Pasta a olio with crushed calamari and garlic! The Bomb! Nothing better.
Maria, Paul, and their son Theo-Santo the Bartender were the Best!
Can't wait to go back as well as order that same meal on line, Delicious!
Steve from Ct.
We are regulars at the Daily Catch in Woodstock. Food is consistently excellent, Maria and Theo a pleasure to be around.
The oysters were out of this world and the halibut special lovely.
Double espresso and Maria’s tiramisu the perfect finish.
Will be back shortly!
I along with my wife and son were greeted by a wonderful MaitreD/Host who was full of great spirit and wonderful stories about her restaurant and more importantly her family which is a big part of her restaurants. The food was excellent as we enjoyed delicious fried calamari and crab/lobster cakes for appetizers. For a main course I enjoyed the “Monkfish Marsala” and tried some of my wife’s scallops which were fresh and cooked perfectly. My son really liked his swordfish “NorthEnd” style. It really was a completely enjoyable dining experience.
Small place with good service, a little pricey but overall great food!
THEY WERE CLOSED! WTF? THAT’S A FIRST.
We had a 6:30 PM RESERVATION (THROUGH OPEN TABLE) AND THE DC WAS LOCKED UP TIGHTER THAN A TEN DAY CLOCK.
No phone call, no email. Nada.
Oh, I know, blame it on covid.
We love this restaurant. The fish is always very fresh and the service is friendly.
The four of us enjoyed a wonderfully splendid meal at The Daily Catch. The food was good, not great. However, the service was great, we loved it was a family run business. Great experience overall!
We were really looking forward to dining at this establishment For 7:00 pm. After passing by the place for the third time, we found the darkened front entrance with no lit sign. We arrived on time for our reservation but were seated 20 minutes after we arrived in a cramped corner in front of a storage cooler. The food was acceptable. I ordered the calamari platter. My wife had the fish and chips. The staff were not getting along and broke out into an argument during our dinner. We passed on dessert. The topper was that the waitress swapped our check with another which was for $25 above ours. It was corrected upon me pointing it out.
Worst service I’ve ever received in a restaurant. Made reservation but when I got there was told by an extremely rude and unprofessional host that I didn’t have a reservation despite my name showing up in their computer. No apology, no solution. Host disappeared inside and never returned until we told her we were just going to leave, at which point she began to clean the outside tables. Garbage.
Fantastic meal to celebrate our anniversary. The owner and the chef were incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic! Ordered their signature calamari, the Clam linguine and the black pasta ... each dish even more delicious than the last. We loved it so much we came back the next day!
Arrived at restaurant only be told they were unable to honor my reservation.
Accept our humble apology for your disappointment we were unable to accommodate your reservation. Woodstock VT has limited restaurants with limited seating options. All of us in the hospitality industry are doing our best during these most unusual times.
We had a wonderfully romantic dinner with the food prepared perfectly!
Due to the covid situation they were clearly understaffed and it significantly affected the service however the food was fantastic and that ultimately was more important to us! I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning when things are back to normal because the food was excellent.
Authentic Sicilian seafood just like the North End Boston. Wonderful
You know you’ve found something special when the owner of 40 years is explaining the menu. You don’t just get Italian cooking you get the best fresh pasta and fish recipes you’ve ever had and the Italian family experience. I not only need to go back but look forward to trying their other locations and ordering their pasta online. Suffice it to say, we’re now fans and feel lucky to have stumbled upon it.
My husband loves seafood so I took him here for his birthday dinner and it blew him out of the water (pun intended). Our server was a super nice, down to earth fellow, the drinks were stellar, and the food was incredible (calamari meatballs, crab lobster cakes, squid ink pasta, hard to choose but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything here). Can’t wait to come back!
Great food- will come back again
