   I was expecting it to be the quality of milller and carter but it was like beefeater. The steak was poor quality. The service wasn’t that great either as they rushed each course to get the table free for the next customer.

   Jonathon our waiter was phenomenal. He was extremely friendly and professional. The food was lovely and fantastic value for money.

   This turned out to be a very happy find for us, having travelled from Sussex to attend a performance at the Theatre Royal York, and looking for an appropriate spot to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary. A warm welcome at the door always sets the tone, and from that moment on, the service is exceptional. Youth and enthusiasm, experience and knowledge, all played a part in providing a truly memorable experience. The food is outstanding, with a sensibly straightforward menu that features very enticing descriptions. Even the sides are exquisitely prepared and served, and our fillet steaks were utterly delicious and cooked exactly as requested. The dauphinouse potatoes were a stand-out side which was already impressive with hispi cabbage, spiced new potatoes, broccoli with chilli and some delicious sauces to accompany the steaks. Dessert was equally impressive - especially the Baked Alaska, and the wine selection is comprehensive. There is a lively, but not intrusive accompanying rhythm from the ambient music, creating a great, social atmosphere and the service is attentive and sensitive. This was never going to be a cheap meal, but you will find yourself during the meal feeling that you'd be prepared to pay a king's ransom if necessary for such superb dining. Reserve yourself a table as soon as possible and share in the wonderful experience.

   Had the steak fajitas, absolutely delicious. Great service and atmosphere.

   Venue is very nice and staff are very nice and attentive. Food is presented well but personally lacking in major flavour/seasoning. Nice for a local dinner.

   For years the Cut&Craft York has been our all-time favourite restaurant, absolutely the best!! The food is excellent everytime! The staff are actually good at their jobs (unlike pretty much any other restaurant where waiters aren't even capable of clearing a table so just stack everything on a big pile or they're moody etc.)

   If you have been to the leeds Cut and Craft and thinking about going to York , Think again! Absolutely no ambiance food cool not hot, not sure why the chef allowed the food to be served this way replacement poor too! I am so sorry that we didn’t go to the Ivy. Will definitely not go again! Please do not go unless you want you want to be disappointed!
