Housed in a Grade II*-listed building originally designed by famed Mancunian architect Edward Walters, British Steak Restaurant The Cut & Craft Manchester has taken over the final extravagant palazzo style building in the city.

Open now serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks seven days a week, with late night drinks table service until 130am on Friday and Saturday nights.

With a special talk from Karol Drozdzik, Senior Brand Ambassador, dine in style at this special event hosted at our restaurants in Leeds and Manchester. A special evening, with exceptional Champagnes. In the years of best weather conditions, apart from its flagship champagne Brut Impérial, Maison Moët & Chandon launches vintage champagnes. Unlike most champagnes blended with wines of different years, these champagnes are made from the grapes of a single exceptional year. Each Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage possesses the distinctive, imitable qualities of that year’s outstanding grapes, qualities which have been elevated to their fullest expression through the savoir-faire, experience, and expertise of Moët & Chandon and the House’s chef de cave, Benoit Gouêz. The food was delicious, but the service was below par especially for the price. It took almost 30 minutes to get the bottle of wine we asked for, and when it arrived it was the wrong one - the starters we ordered arrived before the drink! The food order was mixed up and additional dishes arrived, and at different timings. The taste was amazing however, perfect cooked and seasoned and good portion sizes.

On arrival our booking could not be found. We produced our email confirmation and was then advised that this had been changed to a different date, we had not made this change. However they found a table for us and cancelled the amendment. The surroundings and decoration are excellent. The staff were welcoming although felt some maybe required further training. The main menu offered plenty of choices and they also have a specials menu. The food was well presented but many of the dishes fell short of our anticipated taste expectations.

A great place to go to for a special occasion. I went with my son who recently graduated from Manchester University. Nice touch to be greeted by a professional doorman to welcome you to the restaurant. The receptionist who took us to our table were excellent and had great communication skills. Given the choice of the special menu and the A-la Carte, we went for the Tomahawk which was superb. The icing on the cake for the evening was when a staff member brought a gold envelop for my son which contained a congratulation card - what a wonderful gesture !

There were 4 of us & 2 of the steaks were not the best & the cocktails were disappointing compared to the last time we visited Cut & Craft in York. We were also upset about the service charge being added to the bill expecting us to pay it! We know it’s the new way most restraints are doing this now but I don’t agree with it as I feel it causes embarrassment to the paying customer in front of other customers. 13% service charge is way to much! Never have I ever played £45 service charge/tip! If I feel like leaving a tip for the good service I will & have no problem & c an afford paying nearly £400 for good food & drinks but not the 12% service charge which is a good enough reason to stop us coming again.

Had the Sunday Roast beef, absolutely delicious, tender and lean. Amazing portion… too many roasties for me, but my husband didn’t agree! Plentiful and interesting veg too. Started with a bread basket and flavoured butter, couldn’t fault any of it. Live music was a nice touch. The route to, and the toilets themselves….you have to see it all !!!
