Above The Curator Cafe, almost hidden, The Curator Kitchen; a modern osteria, opened in March 2015.
Osteria is a Latin word meaning a place to ‘host’ and welcome people. Originally osterias served wine and simple food but lately the emphasis has shifted more to food, serving local specialities often at shared tables.
Our modern osteria focus is about sourcing locally, seasonally and sustainably to create dishes with an understanding of Italian traditions. Our menu changes monthly to reflect the seasons and produce available here in South Devon, alongside our Italian Food Heroes specialities such as cured meats, cheeses and wine. We seek out small wineries that produce natural and organic wines that we import directly from Italy, with the majority of the wine being unique to The Curator Kitchen.
Breakfast, brunch and lunch served daily with a selection of poached eggs, sandwiches, small plates and fresh pasta.
Dinner served Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
