   This location was ideal, although a shout drive from downtown Reading, it was an amazing atmosphere Rolf a rural type pub. The food was good, the service great, traditional ambiance and food.

   Comfy environment, good ambience and excellent service helped to make this an good dining experience. Food was OK - to many red peppers on the pizza and overcooked vegetables with my fishcakes.

   Cunning Man used to be a restaurant we'd frequent as a family, it then got really bad so we stopped going for a few years. We risked going out as a belated mothers day dinner and were so pleasantly surprised- it was amazing- food was great, service was great even though it was really busy. Will be going more often :)

   My chips were cold and we wasn't asked if we wanted any more drinks which was a shame as we would have ordered at least 3 more drinks. Apart from this the atmosphere was good, the food arrived quickly and staff polite and friendly.

    This venue seems to be a regular place for my sister and I to catch up. The food and service is good. You'll find a relaxed atmosphere with nice views in the summer where you have the opportunity to sit outside next to the canal. Worth a visit
