Always enjoyable, good food though I would like to see some more variety and seasonal selections, and I find the music a tad loud, but like the live music.

We chose the Culver Hotel Restaurant because of its history, the music, and its location. From the beginning, our 7:30 dinner reservation seemed a little off. We were taken through the lovely dining/music area to a table in a corner of an area between the outdoor patio area and the restrooms. No one came to our table for 20 minutes, When a server finally noticed us, she apologized for the delay and took our drink order. We asked for water. Ten minutes later we got half our drink order, and another server told us she would be taking care of us and took our food order. We again asked for water. Five minutes later we got the rest of the drink order—yes, a full 40 minutes after we had been seated. Five minutes later we flagged down a third person who actually did bring the water we’d requested from two others and 45 minutes after we’d been seated. When some of our food finally arrived—once again we were not all served at the same time, except one of us was served the entree and appetizer at the same time—two of the entrees were cold. After a pleasant conversation with the manager, we received profuse apologies from three different staff members and comps of alcohol and desserts. They tried very hard to make up for a dismal dining experience, but the damage was done. By the way, we saw the entertainer in the other room on our way out. Folks seemed to be having a great time there! Lucky for them!! For us—not so much. We won’t be back.

We were seated in the back room and had a change in servers during our dinner. We were forgotten for a period of time, and service was slow. Food was great and we still had a really nice time. I’ve been here often and will continue to be a patron. This particular evening was atypical.

Slow nonexistent service and food was overpriced for size and taste. Chicken wings were too salty or fish bass was too dry. Pasta dish was not great either.

Lack of parking so you have to park at structure and they don’t even validate. Don’t go here unless you want to waste your time watching other people eat and then overpay.

I’ve never been so disappointed: took my daughter here for our Christmas dinner-had an 8pm reservation-got there early & was told we had to wait-ok no problem-however we saw other people being seated at the same time (1st 👎🏽)-so we waited & came back-they seated us alone & behind the main dining room in a separate section-no one else was there-we waited for service yet no one came (2nd 👎🏽)-so I got up & asked the hostess could we be brought back into the main room where the live music & people were-they said they were all booked (3rd 👎🏽)-I said but we have a reservation-they reluctantly said OK & finally sat us at a table in the main dining area-but there was a group of people standing up & talking & drinking right next to our table-kind of annoying but we finally got service-but it was such a disappointment for the cost-I expected the price & didn’t mind paying-but for what you get, it’s not worth it at all-my daughter ordered a burger which was dry & about the size of a sausage patty & I ordered the flat iron steak with potatoes-it literally had three small potato balls & very little steak-& the salad was too twangy & lemony (4th 👎🏽)-overall it was very unsatisfying & we left there feeling slighted & still hungry-when I mentioned it to our waiter he showed no concern & said that’s just the way it is-he never came back to check on us or see if we needed anything & when he gave us our check he just laid it on the table-no “thank you, have a good night” or anything (5th 👎🏽)-what a terrible experience for our Christmas night-the only reason I didn’t leave is because I didn’t want to make a scene-my daughter kept saying let’s go-I said no we already ordered the food so we need to stay-honestly I didn’t think anything else was open on Christmas night-but I should’ve left-they didn’t deserve my money-this place is definitely overrated!-there’s so many other places I could’ve picked but I’d heard about this and wanted to try it-what a regret!-never again! 😒👎🏽

Unfortunately, the restaurant did not have my Open Table reservation. This has happened at another restaurant as well. However, we were lucky that the retaurant wasn't crowded at the time and was able to accommodate the group celebrating a birthday.

I had an amazing lunch and delicious cocktail this week. My server and the staff were very kind, attentive and respectful of my experience at The Culver Hotel Restaurant. They made sure I had everything I needed and were "out of sight " just enough to ensure my privacy. I drove from San Diego and it was worth the drive. Thank you

Went for a rare date night to enjoy dinner in the holiday decorated lobby. They tried to seat us in the outer room but I asked to be in the main room for the ambiance. After some back and forth with her boss, the hostess sat us next to the tree and near the musicians. The food is excellent and the service spot on. My only complaint is you can't sit in any of the comfy nooks to just listen to the music and chat. Only the high top bar tables are available first come first serve. We would have stayed longer but the hostess glared at us walking by as if to spur us to get the check and leave. That pressure was not cool but, she has limited tables, so I get it.

Birthday Snafu

We made our reservation weeks in advance and confirmed the day before. Fought eastbound Friday night traffic and were told when we finally arrived on time that the restaurant would not honor our reservation because they had sold out for a special event. This was particularly upsetting because my husband has been undergoing chemo and had lung surgery 4 weeks before. This was going to be a special night for us.
We wandered back into Culver City traffic and tried to focus on where we might find a table that would seat us in a timely manner on a Friday night. I wanted to throw in the towel, but my husband wanted to persevere. Ultimately, we ended up at Lares on Pico. There's nothing like a warm, friendly staff and a margarita to lift one's spirits. After complaining to Open Table (where we have been members since 2003 without any problems), I received an email from the Culver Hotel. They have apologized and offered us an "experience" the next time we dine there. I wish the manager had given me his card that night and made me an offer then, instead of treating me as though I was an annoyance .

The main dining room is what I suspect the original hotel lobby. It's very elegant with a mixture of standard tables and chairs as well as tables with comfy, lounge chairs. We first wanted to sit outdoors but the only tables they had available had stools rather than traditional chairs so we asked to be seated indoors. The next table they offered us was in a high circulation zone for all the kitchen staff - so after a little more pleading, we were provided a table in a nice quiet area of the room. Unfortunately, while the table had big, comfy lounge chairs - they were uncomfortably lower than the table making the actual sitting up and eating difficult. It might be better suite for a coffee table and drinks.

The food is just adequate. Nothing exceptional. My wife ordered a hamburger. It came with perfect fries, but since the burger was over-cooked the waiter took it back and replaced it with a better burger but the fries on the second plate weren't nearly as good. So there appears to be a consistency problem. The sautéed mushroom side dish was overly oily. I had a pear-tomato, burrata salad which was served on a wooden board and quite good. As a vegetarian - there weren't too many options for me.

Overall - I really liked the vibe and the aesthetics. They were setting up for live music while we were eating and didn't get a chance to enjoy it since we had to leave early for theater.

This is the sixth English Tea service restaurant I've been to this year. It was, by far, the most expensive and the least delicious. We enjoy Happy Hour at the Culver Hotel, and the breakfast buffet gets rave reviews when family stays here, so this was such a letdown.
The tea was ridiculous, and it's a tea service. Tea bags and pots of hot water, which were not so hot, were dropped at our table but we waited almost 40 minutes for the accompanying cream and sugar, asking three separate servers to help us, which they did not.
We sat there for two hours, the process was that slow, and there was no one else in the restaurant. Why did we need reservations? Why did it take so long to make a couple of open-faced sandwiches and throw some tiny cookies on a plate?
I really wanted to like this place. Now I'm not sure if I want to come back or have guests stay here when visiting. I seriously think the server quit halfway through. That's how bad it was.

In such a beautiful venue the unorganized services and cold plates really hurts what could be a spectacular evening out. The drink were mediocre and the food bar the steak (thank heavens) fell flat. It’s the perfect place to host a drinks reception. But I shan’t be back for dinner.

A Real Treasure!
Not only is Culver Hotel a landmark with lots of history to enjoy, it stands today as a trendy spot for cocktails and fine dining! It's perfect for a romantic evening for two or enjoy a special occasion with a group! If you're lucky you may catch live music to accompany your evening!

Culver Hotel has a great vibe - inside or out! A place you can return to time and again for consistently good food and drinks! Five stars from me!!

Concerning the week-ends brunch:
Perfect!
Nothing to add!
The food is good.
Please, advise that the cheese plate is enough for two people.
The value is good except for the wine which is too much expensive. $44 first price for a bottle .
Please, offer Californian wine less expensive!
In Vegas, the bottle of Barefoot, red, or white is at $14 in restaurants. I suggest for you $25 or $30 maximum for a first price bottle.
And, ..., why there is no live music during the week-ends brunch? A little band, one or two musicians only, playing soft music, love songs, not loud, would be appreciated.
