This is a small and lovely room with an interesting menu, but beware that Thursday is set for live music. The combo was talented, but so loud we could not engage in conversation. When we asked the manager if they could adjust their volume for the size of the room, we were told, "No. This is live music night." I don't see what they have to do with each other; we could have enjoyed both the music and the food. Instead, we cancelled our order and went to a small restaurant down the street. We cannot comment on the food because we never ate there.
We were sitting in the uplevel bar and service wasn't good. they completely forgot about us, never a smile or a nice gesture. The bathroom was really dirty.
We go to that place because we love the architecture and decoration.
very loud. jazz group needs to take more breaks to hear my party
Food was great but drinks were bad, very bad. Not what we remembered.
Great dinner music. Very cozy atmosphere. Food was average for price. Service was nice, but kind of slow. Almost seemed understaffed. Biggest complaint was seated inside next to window with quite a few flies flying around (nearly 10).
Fantastic experience. Jazz night near the fireplace perfect date spot.
Great breakfast in a fantastic room......historical place that has been brought back to life big time.......service was exceptional too.......
Part of the experience in the Culver Hotel ambiance and history. Enjoyed the decor and historical facts. Food was excellent and fast. Service was very attentive. I'd visit again. Perhaps next time for happy hour/dinner.
This is a gem in Culver City!!! Beautiful outside seating. Romantic
Super cute patio with good amount of shade. Wait staff was personable and my dish was tasty.
The lobby bar/restaurant can be very noisy but the outside patio is perfect. Great menu for brunch or dinner. Nice cocktails, too. Happy hour snacks and drinks are a great deal. This is a go-to neighborhood spot for bringing friends or out-of-town guests.
This is a wonderful experience. We went for cocktails and a nosh. The cheese player is fabulous, this time we also ordered the fried calamari. The women at the table next to us had gotten an order and it was mouthwatering. When our order came it was deflated. It was less then half of the order delivered to the table next to us. Now you have to ask why was this. About 10 minuets earlier the hostess came to our table and announced that she had to have us leave with in the next hour because there was another party that had reserved the section of the hotel that included our table🤭
We figured this was their way of getting us out faster, give them less so they don’t spend more time eating. This was followed with our waiter asking if we wanted anything else 🤷🏻♀️ when we told him what the hostess said he was taken aback and said , oh no I will just move you to another table outside of the reserved area. Now this was the proper way to make us fell like valued customers. Cuddos to this very professional waiter
It's a lovely setting. We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely afternoon. I'm a big fan of afternoon tea so I was looking forward to it. However, the scone was a bit dry and the sandwiches weren't that impressive. I was a bit underwhelmed. I am however looking forward to going back and having lunch as the meal looked really good.
Mini reunion for our MBA cohort. Reservations for 4 people made through open table. They accommodated the request to sit inside (it was a hot day). The food was delicious. Two of us ordered the “bottomless” mimosas. The server Maxwell decided to cut us off after 4 servings. Our group was not loud, we weren’t slurring our speech or spilling drinks. He felt uncomfortable serving us more. Soured the occasion at the end. But we crossed the street to a restaurant called Public School and finished our celebration. I’d come back - just not for mimosas.
It was quiet because it was July 4th, I had just finished work and was starving and in need of a drink. Greeted immediately by smiling hosts, brought to a table by the window, ordered drinks a Lavender collins for me and an old fashioned for my friend.
The beet salad and heirloom tomato salads were delicious, fresh bright flavors.
I ordered the mushroom tagliatelle and she had Bolognese. We ordered the bottle of Falernia Malbec for $36 which was a steal. The best Malbec I have tasted in a long time.
Dessert was banana foster and panna cotta .
Overall a success, we left happy and look forward to returning.
Oh and Jazz gave the place an intimate party atmosphere.
Love the old Hollywood vibe and the jazz band.
Had brunch on Sunday. Weather was perfect and the ambiance was also perfect. Outdoor dining at it's best
Live music, pretty setting, odd menu
Lovely venue. Airy with pretty furnishings. Intimate given the low number of seats. Food was decent except for the rock-hard dessert. Service was pleasant. No changing table in the men's room (perhaps in keeping with the vintage theme).
Our usual table didn't have a table there, so the manager went out of his way to find a replacement table for us. Much appreciated, and we'll see you next week!
Good place to have drinks and enjoy some good energy, the food isn't amazing but the vibe and drinks make up for it.
The wait service was abominable. We had to summon the waiter to order our lunch because he was spending time talking with another group and never gave our table a look when he walked by. We ordered desert which never came. We summoned a bus boy to go find our waiter because he had disappeared and because we had been waiting a 1/2 hour for our deserts. When the waiter finally showed up with the deserts, 1/2 of our party had had leave because they were now late.
Food was really good. Service was really slow. The jazz band was loud...
We were just 3 people, so we could still talk and hear each other.
I'd sit outside if you are larger group....
They have live jazz bands every night which isn’t easy to find on the Westside. The food is delicious, the service is great and a really fun environment.
My wife and I enjoyed the food, the ambiance of the restaurant and the live band! Would recommend it highly to friends.
Great place , great food, great service! 5 stars!
The food, the service the ambiance are all incredible. 10+ from start to finish!
Just about a perfect visit
Ahi Tuna salad was delicious! Waiter was excellent!!
A friend’s birthday celebration!
We had lunch at the Culver Hotel with my husband’s family while visiting in May. No one in our group had been here before. The dining area is beautiful and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed the seared tuna salad. The tuna was prepared perfectly. The rest of our group liked the hamburgers and Cuban sandwiches that were ordered. The breakfast and brunch menu also looked very interesting. I would definitely go back again.
Excellent food, quality cocktails, great service in a historic setting.
We got tea service for three for my best friends birthday and got the same amount of sandwiches and cookies that we had gotten wen we went in January and got tea service for 2. The ambiance and service is great but I felt like we were short changed.
Celebrated my daughter’s birthday with lunch at this delightful place. Classic early 20th century vibe, elegant decor, delicious well-presented food, wonderful service. Felt very fancy but comfortable as well.
UNFORTUNATELY, WE DID NOT MAKE IT TO THE HOTEL ON SUNDAY. LAST MINUTE CHANGE IN PLAN. I APOLOGIZE FOR NOT CANCELING!!! WE LOOK FORWARD TO VISITING FOR BRUNCH IN MAY. THANK YOU.
Wait staff was initially very attentive, but then appeared to have forgotten about us. Valet service took 15 minutes to get car. Ambiance was beautiful and food was so-so.
Great little neighborhood gem! And a historic hotel at that. Loved our food it was great and the service was fine as well.
Culver Hotel Lobby restaurant is a great place to hang out and eat. Great atmosphere and live music (not sure which days). The only drawback is that the drinks aren't too strong. Food is great. On a nice day, the back patio is an awesome place to sit.
It was amazing. Service was great and everything was perfect
Our experience at the culver hotel has improved with every visit. The service is great these days, and I couldn’t be happier. I just wished they put the s’mores back on the menu.
Their drinks are great, generously portioned and definitely not weak. My old fashioned could have knocked out a horse.
