Great food. Great service. Live music. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
Luke was a terrific server who understood we had a movie to catch and made things happen in a timely manner.
Beautiful room, great music, super food and great service. We had a fantastic evening.
We had better food and better music before in this place. In general it’s a nice place to meet friends.
The place is gorgeous. And the ambiance is lovely. The service and the food is just OK. Appetizers are probably better than the entrees. The menu is small but the wine and cocktail selection is good. Cocktails are particularly good and the mint tea to finish off the evening is served in a real silver pot.
My favorite place in Los Angeles! ICONIC, Love, love, love!!
The hostess at the culver hotel was extremely rude. She did not acknowledge my Open Table request for outdoor seating. When I reminded her of this, she acted like it was an imposition. Then she basically had an argument with me when I asked for a table not directly next to another party. The outdoor seating area was nearly empty at this time.
Nice experience; will probably return. Our server was very nice & attentive.
Food was good but Mimosa’s were not okay. Flat /w not fresh orange juice.
Overall good , not amazing but good!
Thank you so much for your kind words PrivateDiner. I apologize that you did not enjoy your mimosa. I will speak with out bartenders. I hope you do return and enjoy our daily Happy Hour between 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M.
Lovely. Sat in garden.
Spicy tuna poke is among the best I’ve had in a while
Buratta was excellent with greens
Meat board was disappointing. Too much meet, not enough bread, should have cheese pairings
We are so thrilled that you enjoyed our signature Tuna Poke and the burratta! We apologize that the meat & cheese board were not up to our usual operating standards. We will address this ASAP and I would like to remind you that we have Saturday & Sunday brunch every weekend! Between 11 A.M. and 2:30 P.M! We hope you check it out!
Sit outside under the twinkling lights in the trees. Magical!
We agree the twinkling lights and our romantic patio is magical! We hope you return to enjoy our daily Happy Hour between 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. as well as our Saturday & Sunday Brunch between 11:00 A.M.and 2:30 P.M.
Our server was lovely. Our party ended up being double the size and she handled it gracefully. Our food was very good. I love the menu. Going back tomorrow night with a friend and looking forward to it!
The venue is top notch. My only criticism is that the food portions, especially the salmon was way to small. Other than that it was a very nice evening and a place I’d will hi again. Likely I will eat at. Nearby restaurant then go to the Culver Hotel for drinks and to listen to the live music.
Felt a bit ignored as we stood directly in front of the hostess stand for a full 2 minutes before the two hostesses bothered to acknowledge us- wasn’t busy at all. Asked if we could sit on a couch that had no reservation sign on it and they said no because that couch has a reservation, but they could sit us at a different couch- that’s all fine, but the couch they sat us at hadn’t been bused yet and was pretty dirty still. Just think for the caliber of place it is and how much they charge the situation could have been handled better. Our waiter was great though and on top of things. Food was just okay, probably not worth the prices. Music was good too. Other than the hostess bit and the food, it was an overall good night.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are pleased the service and food were to your liking. We apologize for your experience with the hosts. We are currently training a new team however it is no excuse for you were treated. We hope you return to give us another chance.
Beautiful inside nice quiet atmosphere. Food is great and so was the service
Thank you so much for your kind words! We have Happy Hour everyday. Something to keep in mind when you come back!
We sat by a window on which numerous flies were buzzing. I killed three with a napkin.
I ordered a gin and tonic but was served a gin and soda.
The hamburger was very average.
I have enjoyed the restaurant many times before. I brought a friend who had never been there and she was disappointed because it did not live up to my description.
We had a lovely dinner on the patio! The food and service was excellent!
Service was slow. Non attentive. We had bottomless mimosas and our server disappeared. Asked other servers and were ignored.
Great jazz trio made the night. The food left something to be desired.
Lovely waitresses, menu limited, expensive and underwhelming.
The Live music was skilled and entertaining, however it took over what should have been an intimate Birthday dinner (We were still hungry after 5 pieces of expensive fried chicken)
Expensive limited bar in the velvet lounge with chipped and cracked glasses not to mention the freezing cold air con at 9.30pm.
Nice decor, but sadly we won't be back. What a shame for such a historic building.
The outdoor seating of this spot is super cute and what attracted us to booking here. The hotel is also cool to see- but service was SLOOOOOOOOOOOW- and the metal chairs outside are SUPER uncomfortable. Some tables have wooden chairs- but only a few and a majority of tables are set up like coffee tables and benches so not ideal for eating- better for cocktails. Again, not very comfortable to sit at either. The food was good but nothing worth noting. We had the burger, chicken and waffle, pork belly benedict and the hash. Again, nothing was inedible but I def wouldn’t go there for the food- it was lackluster. I’d use it as a cute place for pre movie drinks in the future.
I took my sister here for her birthday to have the afternoon tea. We all agreed that this was the best English tea we have had in Los Angeles. There was a bit of a mix up with our reservation however the host team and manager accommodated us and made us feel special. I cant say enough good things about the service and quality of our experience. I would highly recommend anyone to come and enjoy an afternoon tea at the Culver hotel, we will be back soon to try the brunch. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
I have always loved the Culver hotel for all its history and the character the architecture. Brought a newly arrived angeleno here, and caught the happy hour menu and was blown away- the two of us filled up on delicious food and each had a craft cocktail, and the bill was only $89 before tax and tip.
Everything was top notch. Waiter made great meal suggestion for item off menu. It was a feast and perfect for our mini family reunion.
We always have a great time! Music is always so much fun:)
This is a very charming restaurant -- a real find in Culver City. The building is one of the older buildings -- but well kept up. The restaurant décor is elegant. We ate on the patio which is also lovely. Food was great. Service was very attentive. A very pleasant evening. It's also close to the Kirk Douglas theater so a great place to go for dinner before a performance.
The ambiance of the whole place was lovely. By showing Gone With The Wind on the wall, it added their homage to the old Culver City's root, which I very much appreciated. I will be back for afternoon tea next with friends so I can sit on the antique looking couch with the low table. I can't wait.
Wonderful historical restaurant! Very nice wait staff. Our only concern was the timing of the food. It was a holiday so that may have influenced things. Do dine here it is a treasure!
Excellent service and lovely environment for an evening out.
I had a marvelous time! Always wanted to go.
Great experience overall
Server was great, food was excellent and atmosphere was perfect for us to chat.
Great ambiance, food and live music!
The space is lovely and the food is good. Service was very slow and generally inattentive. My first course came out at least ten minutes before my husbands’. My entree was not what I ordered. Live jazz quartet was very good.
Culver Hotel is very nice. Great ambience and good music. We sat outside where there are beautiful cozy couches to relax and a table for food and drinks. Service was good, However we did not care for the taste of the food . The portions are small at an absorbent price for what you get. The menu selection isn’t that great to choose from either. I’d say go there if you want a snack and drinks.
Great food, great service. The music was a bit loud but was immediately lowered when we made request. Great place for mees.
Good service & food. 2 piece band playing was a nice touch.
Loved the room, the movie, Sabrina, the B&W version and the live 3-piece band. The food was tasty, small portions. The waiter seemed a bit indifferent and had to flag him down a few times for a new drink, silverware, etc.
Food was nicely plated - their fries were among the best thin, skin-on fries ever, perfectly salted. Waiter could not have been more helpful (Thank you, Matt) yet didn't hover. Nailed our very specific orders perfectly. Ate outside on a perfect day - doesn't get much better than this in LA (well, Culver City).
Slowest service ever
