Meal was fantastic..love sitting outside.
Luke, our server, was beyond wonderful and attentive. My meal was just okay- it was very bland tuna salad. But I truly love this hotel and am here at least once a month.
I’ve been to the culver hotel for brunch, dinner, drinks and afternoon tea a few times. Food is always great, drinks always great, service however, has been lacking. Our last visit it took 15 minutes and me waving over two people to get our waitress to come by and take our order. Food came out quickly but we had to ask a busboy for more coffee, and didn’t see our server again until we asked 2 different people to get her to bring us our check. They were not extremely busy.
Great to see the inside of this place. The food was nothing better than OK, and the hostess station could use some lessons in friendliness. Not enough pros to make a return visit overall.
Service was incredibly slow. Went for a Saturday brunch...Took 15 minutes for someone to ask if I wanted water or a coffee
The ambience is nice and chill. The Seevice was great. The music is a bit loud at times, which makes it hard to converse, but the entertainment was well worth the minor inconvenience.
The Culver Hotel has a great atmosphere and the food, although pricey, is good.
The history with the Wizard of Oz is a nice bonus!
Great table location, ambience and decor. Service was a little slow at times, but waiter was attentive, accommodating and friendly when at or near our table. Food and drinks were delicious!
Wonderful evening with live music and fine dining.
Service was terrible. Food was ok. Ambiance was good
We refound you guys last week after cirque de soleil. And wife and had date night for dinner. Fabulous food very creative as well!
We’ll be back!!
Music duo was disappointing..food mediocre. Why did hotel advertise its music scene when it is merely background and amateurish? It use to be areal music scene.
great food. a touch pricey. nice ambiance. great for special occasions
A lovely, elegant restaurant in a historic building in Culver City. Attentive service, tasty food and live music. Reservations recommended.
We really had a wonderful late lunch on a Monday afternoon. The service was delightful and the food was delicious. I love the history of the hotel and the high ceilings and decor. It is a great place for a date or special occasion, or just getting together with family and friends. I have also been there for a baby shower upstairs and it was really charming. Public parking is a block away if you want to forego the valet parking.
This place has really delicious food, nicely presented! The service was great, too. And we could have a real conversation without screaming to be heard!
We’ll be back😁
A fabulous place to enjoy Sunday brunch. Great ambience. I could sit there all day.
the only thing we were sorry about -we could not see silent movie. We wish to eat at the (comfortable level ) table and still see the movies. It used to be table 25 was regular table , I would prefer it back.
Very bad and disorganized service overall. Food is just ok, small menu.
Excellent service, food was great tasty quality ingredients
Cracking fire, black and white movie, Jazz ensemble performing, white tablecloths, casual ambiance, cheerful service and delicious foods: it could not have been better!
Always love hosting my client meetings and events at The Culver Hotel. A cut ABOVE the rest!
We had a fantastic romantic dinner, the food was wonderful and the service was very attentive. This place has wonderful ambience and great food
Food is always so delicious!
Wonderful anniversary experience !
The music, atmosphere and service were great. The brussel sprouts and truffle fries were amazing!
Wagyu beef ran out and the substituted ribeye was not commensurate and unfortunately, was a disappointment. The frisée, beets, goat cheese salad was less than mediocre; there appeared to be a single postage stamp of goat cheese buried under a considerable tumbleweed of frisée. Not pleasing in any way. The redeeming qualities were the server who was making all attempts to improve the experience, and the ambience was excellent.
Service was excellent and drinks were delicious.
Christmas Eve - a nice simple yet sophisticated dinner with family. Service was a bit mixed as happy hour was just ending and the dinner service hadn’t quite jumped into full swing. A few missed opportunities but overall the food was delightful and we had a nice evening out.
Lovely setting and great ambiance. Be sure to confirm seating for large party is appropriate for your group. Our group of 10 was not seated together until I requested a change. Food good although my branding portion seemed skimpy for $28.
This place is great. The hostesses are great, the food is great, the ambiance is amazing!! I’m grateful to be able to take friends some where unique, close and last minute!
Great, classic, upscale place. Real nice vibe inside with the hipster trio band. Found parking right next door just about 100 feet north, got out of there for $2.00.
I always enjoy the Culver Hotel, but having gone there many times over the years, I have to say that the quality of the drinks has gone way down. It sort of feels like they are resting on their laurels, and this is a bad idea, because Los Angeles diners are fickle and there are plenty of great places to eat and drink.
My server, food, and drinks were great. The hostess was terrible, unhelpful, distracted and rude. Why offer the option to say you do not want outdoor seating if it is not then honored at the host stand?
Perfect for Sunday brunch or afternoon tea. Wonderful ambiance.
Firstly, the Culver Hotel Is an amazing place to spend a night or two. The staff could not be more accommodating. The set up of their front desk as it relates to the restaurant, etc., is a bit strange, but hey that gives it a little bit of its ambiance!
I was meeting two friends who I get together with annually. I had reserved a table on the patio, which probably would’ve been the best, but the rain prevented sitting outdoors. The staff put us at a lovely table right by the Christmas tree. The problem is that the restaurant is not just a restaurant but it is a restaurant surrounded by a bar. The ceilings are high and as such the noise level is incredibly loud. While I waited for my friends to arrive I was seated at the table but kept getting bumped by not only the bar patrons but the staff. In addition a jazz quartet was warming up to even increase the noise level. Great music… Just not for conversation. I finally asked if there was a quieter location. They brought me to a side area which is more of a walk-through but it did have a table and we chose to sit there, sans ambience, so that we could all talk. Other than the staff initially forgetting that we were sitting there, the service was OK.
We all enjoyed the food and it was good value for the money. I would definitely go back, but maybe not on a rainy night!
Very nice ans cosy place to dine. A bit too dark though.
Food is good but nothing amazing. Good wine by the glass selection. It is quite pricy for what you get in your plate.
It was quite noisy when we were there but I think there was a Christmas party.
Interesting, historic location. Very attentive service. Good food. Live music is kept at a reasonable decibel so you can still talk. Does start to get crowded after 7:30 pm so noise level may go up.
Excellent service, very accommodating to our group!
Fantastic service and recommendations from our server. Everything she recommended from cocktails to the main dishes were excellent. Rib eye special was delicious as was the spicy tuna poke, brussels sprouts, baby corn and truffle fries. Check out the lounge upstairs for some old school glam vibes.
