   We booked The Crown on the 6th June for Sunday 27th August and the booking was accepted, we received a reminder the day before and confirmed our attendance. When we turned up on Sunday 27th, we were told that the kitchen was closed. How can you accept a booking and then not honour it or inform you customer. Very disappointing, and the attitude of the bar staff was terrible. It also cost us £15.00 each way in a cab!

   Not the most inspiring meal one has ever had! I had the roast beef, which though cooked nicely, was spoiled by the great wedge of fat that accompanied the slice. Moreover, more vegetables would have made all the difference. Additionally, considering it was Father's day the place was empty...

   Lovely place. Food is good, staff were very helpful. The music could do with turning down a bit but I didn’t complain. I think it was only because there wasn’t many people in there on a Saturday lunch time.

   Brilliant service- super friendly and welcoming. Sunday lunch menu limited - 3 roasts, fish and chips and a burger (no vegetarian option on the menu). Our food was great let down only by the packet gravy all over the plate. Tasteless and gloopy.

   Service was slow , despite there not being many people eating. Burgers were dry, my husband didn’t eat all of his. The brewery lager had run out.

   Food was great. Had a burger. And they made a super salad for our vegetarian friend when the vege options weren't available.

    Good choice of evening meals. Very tasty indeed. New chef who made the effort to introduce himself and proactively cater for one of the party who is gluten free.
