   The drinks took so long to get to our table the food had already arrived. The food came too quickly - we had roast dinner and it was cold - it tasted like it had been made that morning and plated up for us cold and reheated like warm. The two people that had lamb had bad bellies for the next day. I won’t be going back after this experience

   Very poor area to be seated in, felt like being in a disused area under the stairs despite it being referred to as the snug. Decoration was awful and the walls were dirty. Despite asking to be moved, we were told that it was not possible. Very poor ambience.

   We were very impressed with the set meal for Mother’s Day. The choices and portion sizes were good and we had a nice table in the corner by windows/doors. Staff were also very friendly and attentive.

   Food was lovely and service generally good until our bill arrived which contained beers on it that weren't ours. It was rectified quickly and apologies accepted.

   We have been here a few times now for roast, always fantastic food (Yorkshire puds are massive!) and service is great also. The nice chap that took us to our table actually moved us to a quieter table on his own accord which was a nice touch and near the tv so we could watch the rugby. We will be back again very soon!

   Everything was great although £2.50 per scoop of ice cream for the child in the party was a little steep

   Excellent attentive service Music was too loud when a quiz was about to start but on request they turned it down so was fine and we could continue our conversation! Good food.

    I can only rate our experience on the phone call we received on New Tears Day, even after booking a few weeks in advance they called me on New Years Day!!! Morning to say that they had decided to close the kitchen at 6pm and we had booked our table for 6pm, so could we come earlier to have our meal. I explained that we had travelled from Cornwall and had been in a hotel and had lunch so an earlier option was not an option for us, but they didn't seem bothered or care. I thought that this was disgraceful. Surely you know as a business that guests are coming so why would you close a kitchen at the time when you have guests booked in, and ON THE DAY too. Luckily we found somewhere else for our New Years Day meal but it was not easy as most places were fully booked. The place we re-booked was incredible so in future we shall be going there.
