The Crest Gastropub - Parsons
Bar service took awhile to get going despite few patrons. Ordered shrimp & grits. Shrimp was temperature hot and seasoned well, but the grits & lamb ragout were lukewarm. Side salad sat in view for a good 10-15 minutes and was delivered with food, which seemed to be due to lack of paying attention rather than intentionally serving the meal together. Everyone was bustling about and walking by the salad as it sat there, and again, neither the bar or restaurant were busy.
Everything was fine. Over all it was an enjoyable place for a lunch. They accommodated three moms with little children and the restaurant wasn’t terribly busy which was nice for us. I enjoyed my soup, broccoli cheese, and the chicken sandwich was good. Nothing was amazing. The other two got the burger. The buns on all three sandwiches fell apart and was quite messy. Service was attentive and helpful. But over all I felt like everything was just that, fine.
The food was very unique in flavor combinations. Everyone was impressed with the dishes we ate. Nice size dishes. The menu has premium level dish composition at an accessible price. The decor was pleasant. Staff was personable and professional from host to server. Overall, a quality dining experience.
Started with the spicy hot wings. 8 deep-fried and crispy, drumsticks sauced and served w/ a blue cheese sauce. Very tasty! Had turkey sandwich w/ bacon and added fried egg. Huge sandwich, came with a large bowl of mixed veggies. Great service, can’t wait to come back.
Waited for 45 minutes for drinks which we ordered twice but never came. Water was the only thing we were served. Poor service. Reached out via facebook email to let them know if our experience but no response.....
Great atmosphere and drinks. Food is hit or miss. I've had some great stuff here, and some not-so-great. Service is also on/off. But we usually have an overall ok experience here.
Took awhile to get seated but once we were there our waitress was incredible! So sweet and genuine making sure we had everything we needed. Loved the decor and lighting would definitely go back again.
We did not have a server and were not greeted after over 45 minutes at our table. We had to leave
First time there and it was a very positive experience. I had the Swiss Burger w/bacon and my wife had the Turkey Melt. Both entrees were DELICIOUS!! Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. We are looking forward to returning for another meal soon!
We were visiting from out of town for a conference, and a friend (who is a local) suggested The Crest. The burgers were AMAZING and the service was personable and quick!
Everything was great I just didn’t care for what I ordered I got the falafel and it just wasn’t what I was used to. Everyone else loved their food!
Our first trip to this venue. My beet salad was excellent and my buddy’s burger was, according to him, wonderful. The service was top-notch. Our server was friendly and very attentive without being over-the-top about it.
The atmosphere was good — it’s a fairly new place and it shows well. Tables were spaced far enough apart so that we didn’t feel anyone could hear us without trying and vice-versa.
My pal and I each decided we would return to The Crest.
Ran out of Bloody Mary mix the afternoon we were there
Great fresh food with an upscale modern ambience but very casual and great comfort foods on the menu.
The food was average for Sunday brunch. The service was below average for sure. Not sure if the waiter was having an off day or they were understaffed but the service overall was very slow.
We usually get great service at this restaurant. But on this visit, the service was slow, the bartender was behind, the kitchen was backed up and the waiter took a long time to bring the check, run the credit card, and return. Just not the usual experience.
It just wasn't worth the money. Food that you can get anywhere. Food Not well prepared. Other, better options
Great place to meet for a working lunch. Several good options on the menu to please many palates. Service was solid. A good "go to" for lunch.
We had a great experience. From the seating to the service and the delicious food. I had the vegan burrito and that alone was worth the trip. I will definitely be back for the same meal. The coffee was great and replenished often. Just a great meal.
12 minutes to be greeted by hostess. 45 minutes to get food after ordered. Food was great but experience today was horrible. Normally I love Crest. Not today.
Sadly our party of 6 were never served and we had to get up and leave because we were going to the theater. We waited 1 1/2 hours and still did not get our food. It wasn’t even very crowded. Management didn’t seem to even care. We were very disappointed
We had dinner here before a CATCO play. Food is good, but my selections weren't as delicious as they've been in the past. My fish taco was OK, but they didn't drain the fish and there was a pool of oil on the taco. Flavor was good, but just too greasy. I also ordered a bowl of cheesy grits, and they were overcooked and dry. And they must have scraped the bottom of the pan, because there were dry, brown scrapings of grits in the bowl too. Not the greatest.
