Sourdough bread was a special treat - 76 year old starter! The garlic sauce gave it a tangy bite and our salad tasted garden fresh. The soup tasted homemade and the burger was the best we had all summer. Very juicy! Our server was knowledgeable and super nice. We loved our table on the patio between ferns at sunset. Would definitely go again!
We can't thank you enough for such an excellent and detailed review! Here at The Crest we are passionate about the details, and from this review we see that you are too. We hope to see you on our patio again soon!
I love the rustic style of this place. Atmosphere is great and food is phenomenal.
Thank you so much for the great review Lidian! We hope to see you in again soon!
Food, service and atmosphere were all great. The Crest did a great job of making sure everyone at their restaurant was safe during this pandemic!
Amanda, we are so happy you enjoyed your time with us! Customer safety and satisfaction, along with that of our employees, is our top priority. We really appreciate you recognizing the extra steps we take to ensure that safety. Thank you so much for leaving the review and we hope to see you in again soon!
Definitely snag a table out on the covered patio. Hip, well-run atmosphere with a campus community vibe.
Schoony, what a great review! Thanks so much for visiting us and taking the time to leave this review (we love the covered patio too!). We strive to be a welcoming gathering place for the Clintonville community and surrounding areas and we are happy to have achieved that. We hope to see you in again soon!
Holy GUACAMOLE! I am so proud of the transformation that The Crest has undergone. The renovations are beautiful, I am absolutely digging the hip hop playlist supporting our black communitIes and the new food/cocktail menus are 10/10. It feels like a younger take on the old soul community gathering place that was The Crestview Tavern. Dani, Georgia, Nelly, Lance, Colin, Eleanor and Lillian were absolutely flawless in service and I couldn't have asked for more.
We ordered the goat cheese, marinated tomatoes, grilled and chilled salad, mezze board, and koussa. Everything was phenomenal and I'm so glad to have quality vegan and vegetarian options on the menu that are thoughtful of other diets.
If you have been to the old Crest, wash that picture in your mind and revisit. I'm positive that it will rock your world.
Thank you so much for the detailed review, Savannah! We hope to see you in again soon!
Good to go back and visit the Crest. Our server was pleasant and attentive! The restaurant was clean and well spaced out.
Thank you so much for spending your evening with us! We appreciate you choosing The Crest and for leaving us such a glowing review. We hope to see you in again soon.
I’d go back for the Spanish Gin and Tonic alone! Lovely evening on the patio, with good food, service, and drinks.
Thanks for the review Alison, please come back and see us again soon!
Came to the crest on their first day back open and was not disappointed. Servers are always so nice and attentive, food and drinks were great.
Thanks for the review, Mary! We are glad to hear you enjoyed yourself at The Crest last weekend. We hope to see you in again soon.
The new menu is amazing!!! Best one yet!
Thanks for the review! We really appreciate the feedback and will happily let the chefs know. Come visit us again soon!
Food was excellent the brunch drinks were very good.
The service was good and the staff was pleasant.
Disappointed with the experience at Crest. We were told that pint drafts were half off, so we all ordered beer and some came in less than a pint, therefore not half off. The food was just OK - not bad but nothing memorable (except the desserts - those were delicious!). We had a party of 6 and apparently that's enough to trigger the automatic gratuity - seems like a low number for that kind of treatment. Doubt we'll go back.
Food was overall very tasty, though the fries were pretty soggy.
Were sat outside for brunch. In winter. In a tent with the heat cranked. Very uncomfortable. All our food was salted to the point of being nearly inedible, and the service was atrocious. When e we weren’t being ignored our server was out and out rude.
Great meal! Loved our server. The king trumpet mushroom ratatouille dish was amazing.
Met a friend for lunch. The food and the service were exceptional.
This was our first time trying out The Crest
Thanks for trying us out, Courtney! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We hope to see you in again soon!
Great, farm to table dining. Thank you for a great meal.
Interesting options, not your typical pub grub. Wife had burger, I had the duck. Parking the major challenge. Outside - the weather bad, no parking available in lot...., inside tasty eats, great server.
Enjoyed every minute of our dinner here. Food was amazing. Cocktails were fresh and delicious!
The service was good, the atmosphere was unique, and the food was amazing. It was a little loud but nothing I wouldn’t expect from a casual Gastropub. Would recommend and I’ll be back!
We went in for the new veggie burger special. The sign was up still promoting it when we came in. We ordered drinks and it took a long time to get them. Once our server finally came back to take our order, we all ordered the veggie burger special ($5 for the burger and fries). The server casually and unapologetically told us they were out but offered their regular veggie burger (not explaining the difference). Having not looked at the rest of the menu, we agreed and asked for fries as our side. They were also out of fries. We asked if the pricing would be honored since they were still promoting the deal with their sign, but they denied and were not very understanding at all. Their regular veggie burger was $16. The food was good, but I feel like they should have let us know when we sat down that they were out of the special, offer a new deal, or at least acknowledged our frustration that a supposed $15 meal turned into a $45/person meal. Will likely not be back due to the poor service and false advertising.
The current menu wasn’t great. We go there a lot and it was the worst we’ve had in awhile. Service was so-so and VERY SLOW. I advised them of my daughters 16 bday and they didn’t even mention it. Disappointed and will be finding a new fav brunch spot.
Restaurant week menu was great.
The passion fruit custard was amazing. Tomato soup was very tasty. The Ebb and Flow drink was spot on. Can't wait to go back.
One of my favorite places in Columbus. Slightly off the beaten path, but the menu is always new and creative. This was my first time at the Indianola location but have been to Parsons numerous times. The food is always excellent.
The food was amazing! We went for restaurant week and we will definitely be going back for more!
The food was awesome. Very nice restaurant week menu.
Great brunch menu! We enjoyed the banana bread pudding and the omelet of the day. Wonderful selection of items for vegetarians too!
The food was ok, but service disappointing.
Great place. Fun well executed food, service on point but not overbearing.
We tried the vegan Mac which was surprisingly good. Tom went for their very excellent burger while I had veggies broccoli, sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. All were very good. Tom thought the fries were a little over seasoned but I thought they were a nice contrast to other things. We highly recommend the Dark Chocolate-Avocado Pudding. I licked the jar.
New Years Eve dinner
The atmosphere was pleasant but the building was cold in temperature.
The service was very good.
Outstanding food, great service, and we had a table of 8. This was on my graduation day and I even received a little gift!
The server was outstanding - warm and friendly and courteous. The food was pretty good, and the only real drawback was seating and how we were all right on top of the tables next to us. Made for eavesdropping and feeling distracted by the adjacent tables.
Night before shopping for my wedding dress! Spending time with family! Our server Rev was AMAZINGGGGGGG! Keep her forever! Her service, ability to really SPEAK about the menu and general vibe were just awesome!
As always your food and service was great but we did note that your spaces were in the need of some cleaning. We understand it is coming off a holiday weekend but thought we would pass along.
We went for brunch with friends, it was 20 minutes before I went to the hostess and let them know we still hadn’t seen a waiter at our table. Everyone was very apologetic but after we received our food no one ever came back to refill our drinks. Then we were offered a free banana bread pudding for free for our wait and that took 15-20 minutes to arrive. Thank goodness the food was tasty and I appreciate that they have vegan options (not many-but some).
I love the crest. One of our favorite places in Columbus. Come back consistently.
The Crest was formerly heavy gastro pub fare. But a new chef and a new menu have added some lighter and plant based options to the menu. It was brighter and not as loud as I recall from my last trip, either. Bravo, Crest!
