    Very expensive entree had poor quality meat and the taste was bad as well. Tournedos entree seas $45 and the “meat” was chewy and wouldn’t break down enough to swallow - not edible. Told the wait staff and they didn’t remedy the situation or offer to remove entree from bill. Also, the outdoor entertainment - a guitar player/singer was very loud. Server and hostess both very nice.

    We had a party of 18. Mark, Dawn, and Elizabeth were very gracious and excellent hosts and server. The food was delicious! I love having a white table cloth experience for special occasions. Mark was very prompt returning phone calls to make our birthday celebration special! I highly recommend for a date night or special event! Wonderful food with an excellent view! Thank you for an excellent night!!

    Best food we have had this trip! Every dish was outstanding. The lobster tacos were amazing, the lobster pasta was delicious. The redfish was tasty. Love the fried green tomatoes with pimiento cheese appetizer. Would definitely go back.

    I had the ribeye ad wedge salad. It was very tasty but a little on the pricey side as the salad was extra. I chose the Crazy Lobster because I had eaten there before and they had a Low Country Boil bucket. They no longer offer that on their menu so I had to get the ribeye.

    Our server was a little overwhelmed, as the restaurant was quite busy but she did a fine job overall. The food was excellent. We were a party of 8 and we ordered most of the menu I think! Scallop appetizers, calamari, lobster bisque, both kinds of lobster rolls, lobster melt, pork porterhouse, and the snapper were all worth every penny and superbly prepared!

    Will definitely go here again! Food was AMAZING, service (Adrian) was AMAZING, and the location was great. We sat on second floor overlooking the pier. Perfect evening.

    Terrible experience in that the server could not care less about being there or our experience there. We didn't even get the drinks or food given his ineptitude to remember what we ordered. He literally came back to ask us two separate times in the drinks and took the drink menu to "show the bartender". We left after 20 more minutes of waiting for the drinks after determining that we were not going to deal with such poor service the entire meal and pay the upscale prices/gratuity. The restaurant wasn't even at half capacity.

    We sat 30 minutes at the table with no service. The server never even took our drink order. After deciding to leave, the restaurant asked us to stay, and still ignored us for another 25 mins. All this after a 7:15 reservation booked through OpenTable. Worst experience I have ever received from a restaurant.

    The food was good. The service was awesome, but the pictures on OpenTable are not what is on the menu, there are no oysters or shrimp and crab boils like the pics, so just fyi, but good overall.

    Food was great, but they were understaffed so the service was extremely slow. When we did get waited on the servers were very kind with a great attitude, and our food came out pretty quickly. I loved everything I ate and would definitely go again.

    We were so excited to dine at the Crazy Lobster, since it’s the perfect location (in the village) for family fun, but we were disappointed to say the least. Items were left out from our appetizer order as well as entire plates from the main course. The food was okay, but not great. Due to the service, we wouldn’t visit again…

    Having a white tablecloth, upscale eatery at Baytowne Wharf seems like a great idea in theory, but unfortunately it is very poorly executed. The hostess seemed too bothered to greet or look at us, even though we had a reservation. She sat us then ran off before we could ask for a high chair. When we finally flagged someone down, which was hard, because the staff seemed miserable and unbothered, we were told they only have 2 and they are both in use. We made our reservation two months ago and specifically requested one. So needless to say, my birthday dinner was very difficult trying to wrangle a one year old in a regular seat. Our food and drinks took forever to order, they took forever to come out, and the price of the bill was laughable considering the bland food, nonchalant attitudes, and poor service. I could have had a better birthday dinner almost anywhere else.

    We’ve made a tradition of visiting this restaurant every time we go to San Destin. The sign and online menu both say “home of the steamed seafood bucket.” We went there specifically for the steamed seafood with plans to order 4 whole lobsters. We were so disappointed that the steamed seafood is no longer on the menu. Most of the now consists of sandwiches with lobster pieces in them. We will not be returning.

    More upscale of a restaurant than we were looking for. Waiter had a certain way in which he took our order, which including ordering grinds after appetizers were out. Drink order was incorrect. Food was delicious and entree portions were large. Waiter would not let us make substitutions. Would go back but without kids and a group smaller than 5 because of their 20% service charge.

    We loved the "old" Poppy's theme. It was Creole, festive, casual, and fun. The new, more "upscale" design fell flat for us. The indoor seating/dining room is crisp and white, but unfortunately it is also sterile and boring. We opted to eat on the patio since the inside was freezing. The patio, while more casual, was way too loud with the live music from Hammerheads. This detracted from the new higher end vibe Poppy's seems to be going for. Although the menu has also changed (unbeknownst to us), there are still remnants of the previous fan favorites posted on the walls (IE. Cold seafood buckets, Gator bites, and Mardi Gras Style cocktails). Our server was very nice. He walked us through the menu and was quite thorough. However, he was also very slow. We actually thought he forgot about us. Other parties that arrived after us were being served while we waited...and waited. It took 45 minutes for us to receive our 3 fountain drinks and 1 cocktail from the bar. We waited another 20 minutes before he returned to take our order. The appetizers (Firecracker Shrimp and Spinach Dip) were served room temperature and weren't tasty at all. One person in our party enjoyed their pasta dish, but the rest of us were extremely disappointed. Needless to say, we won't be back. We do, however, hope the restaurant does well with their new changes. Cheers!

    It was ok. It’s a tourist attraction in a tourist area. We wouldn’t seek it out but it was nice to have a reservation somewhere because Baytown was packed and we walked right up and got a table. Service was really slow because it was so crowded. Prices were high and the food was mediocre, but that’s what you need to expect eating in a place like this. Same kind of thing as eating at a restaurant in a theme park. Perfect for what it is.

    The restaurant is called the crazy Lobster yet the only way you can get Lobster is little chopped up pieces in your food. Pictures online show a full lobsters steamed coming off the plates and they're huge with their big lobster claws yet they have no full lobsters on their entire menu just tacos with lumps of crab on it or Lobster on it or other food with chunks of lobster meat on it, this restaurant used to be good back in the day when I went to it when you can actually get full steamed lobsters I would not go back with this current menu or chef.
