Delicious food reasonably priced in a fun atmosphere.
Waitress was as good as she could be….we did have a large party, however, we waited 3 hours on food. 4 of our group didn’t get their food until the end of everyone else’s meal….kids burger was not done either! Manager was not helpful in anyway either. We read other negative reviews but tried giving them the benefit of the doubt….we should’ve listened. Lesson learned.
I understand short staffed but stop taking reservation and seating people you cannot serve. We waiter over an hour for our entrees to arrive. Neither the lobster linguine nor the shrimp and crab were good at all. Barely editable. The ice tea seemed to be days old and the mojito was an $12 joke. The saving Grace was that our 4 year old was served his fried shrimp on time and he enjoyed the dish.
Bland taste with expensive price tags, waited total 50 minutes to get food
We were really looking forward to eating at this establishment, however the service was poor. Food came out lukewarm. My blackened mahi dish was supposed to come with heirloom potatoes and instead I was served french fries beneath. They decided substitute french fries without asking me if it was acceptable. Lobster bisque was just a tomato based soup with no lobster. Overall the experience was poor.
Worst experience at a restaurant. I never write reviews but this deserves a terrible one. Took over 30 minutes to get our drink orders. Then and another 30 for the food order. Food was terrible. Not much else to say other than don’t go here.
Food was awesome, service, and atmosphere amazing! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!
I have to give this place a low rating because of the food. No flavor what so ever. We ordered the 2 lb lobsters that seemed to be under cooked, the texture was very soft, almost mushy. Again, zero flavor, like no seasoning, no salt in the drawn butter that came with it either. Potatoes and corn came with it, no salt, no “Cajun season”, as advertised. Definitely not worth the money spent here. We from New Orleans, and when you say cooked with cajun spices, baby I need some flavor! I want to taste some crab boil or cayenne on my seafood boil. It sure looks good, but Not gonna be returning here.
Steak tasted like rubber. Food was not worth the money. Multiple drinks taken back. Only thing good was atmosphere
Appetizer and meal all came out at the same time, Overcooked Mahi, no condiments came with the meal. Asked to move to a table without the AC blowing directly on us and we’re told they had “that” table reserved and they must have because an hour later when we were leaving they sat somebody there.
Great food and service with live music
Great service and staff! The food was mediocre, but the environment is fun. Maybe skip the food and come for cocktails and live music.
We had a very good meal. Husband had Blackened Redfish, I had Crab cakes and oysters, and coconut shrimp to share. Company had New Orleans mahi-mahi and crab cakes and a cup of gumbo. The gumbo was the least favorite. We also shared the calamari and it was delicious. Overall a nice experience.
Was disappointed from the time we walked in, until the time we left. We had a reservation and host acted like he didn't have anywhere to sit us. They were out of oysters, but understandable due to the hurricane in La. Table of 6 that sat down after us got their food, before we (party of 2) got our food. Coconut shrimp was very dry and just didn't have a good taste. We were just overall disappointed.
We went for my husband’s birthday and The Crazy Lobster did not disappoint! Our server was great and the food was awesome! Some of the best shrimp and crab legs we’ve eaten!
Food is AWESOME!!! Service was ok. Will go back!! Great location!!
Good service and great food
Staff was super nice and the food was amazing! Our wait was minimal with our reservation:
Cannot accurately rate the food as we did not actually eat there. Had reservations but we’re seated outside. Then we waited for over 15 minutes and no one came to our table at all. Not even to let us know they were busy and it would be a few minutes. We left frustrated and hungry. Hope others have a better experience than we did.
Oysters were over cooked two had no oysters
In them. The lobster was over cooked and rubbery. We told the manager in which we’re given an additional 1/2 doz oysters that were delicious and we were given 10% off bill for over cooked lobster.
Our lobster was so tough we couldn't eat it. Very rubbery. Service was very poor - waitress only stopped by when we asked for her, was not attentive, had no personality and NEVER asked us how things were.
Will not go back.
This restaurant is just basic. Nothing special. I will not return. There are far better places to eat in the area
Enjoyed our meal. Should have asked for a larger table.
Took a while to be served after sitting down. The oysters were very good but the rest of our meal was gross and overpriced for the quality. Server did not seem to know the menu and had to go ask other staff to get answers to our questions. The rum drinks were pretty good but my dirty martini had way too much olive brine and was undrinkable.
Absolutely horrible service!!!!!! Do NOT waste your time or money on this restaurant. The crab legs were dead for months before cooking, everything was dry on our plates. We had a large group and not one person enjoyed their meal, the lobsters were not stuffed, when asked why the pathetic excuse of a “manager” laughed at us and said “I don’t know what goes on in the kitchen”
Continued to argue with us and refused to make a different dinner or comp the meal. DISGUSTING service and environment
Very average seafood. Doubtful we’d go back.
Had to wait 30 minutes past reservation. Was sat at a high top table with another group. Server was rude and only came by 3 times including the check. Food was average at best. Service was the main downfall.
For the price, the food was not what we had hoped for and was frankly not very good. It was the most expensive meal we had as a family all week and by far the least appetizing. Service was awkward and slow. You pay for the atmosphere which has a lot of potential but the service and the food was not on par. We were disappointed.
The “gator bites” were sausage, the coconut shrimp were dry, the blackened lobster was fishy, and the filet was tasteless. Our server put our filet in as medium well instead of medium rare so we had to send back. We had to wait for silverware, plates and drinks. Definitely not a good experience.
Very slow service for drinks & food.
Service was excellent. Food was not as good as anticipated.
Ordered two appetizers, mahi mahi, shrimp creole, and two crawfish étouffée. Tastes were good, nothing I would rave about. It's a bummer there's not onsite reservation system, nor anyone answering phones to order takeout. There were plenty open tables at 5:30 when I dined for the service to be on the slower side and less attentive.
We understand that staffing is an issue everywhere but….we made reservations and sat for an hour with just drinks… we never got our appetizer, no drink refills, the food was horrible and then our bill was over $200 for 4 people. Now remember.., this was strictly our entrees—— no dessert or appetizer. To say that this was bad Is an understatement
They make sure they order your the largest portion without even asking you what you want
Everything was great. The food was amazing. Service was excellent
The food was terrible and had no flavor. The waitress was not friendly and seamed to have a attitude when I asked questions. My daughter had steak that was supposed to be cooked well done but was bright red inside and when I tasted the steak it had a burnt taste.I would not recommend it going to this restaurant.Unfortunately I was celebrating my birthday and the experience was not great.
We book two months ago and then showed up reservations and had closed for private party. No call or anything which left us with no where to eat. Horrible customer service snd we’re rude.
They canceled hours before the reservation time! A group of 9 was impossible to rebook somewhere else!
Vacation/tourist spot. The outside was beautiful with a long boardwalk with pretty views and live music. Service and food were just ok. Not terrible, but certainly not excellent!
They only let you have 2 checks per table max and we had a party of 7, just FYI.
Very warm inside the restaurant, food was ok but not great. Beer was warm, Moscow Mule was watered down. There are definitely better places to done at Baytowne Wharf along same price point.
