We book two months ago and then showed up reservations and had closed for private party. No call or anything which left us with no where to eat. Horrible customer service snd we’re rude.
They canceled hours before the reservation time! A group of 9 was impossible to rebook somewhere else!
Vacation/tourist spot. The outside was beautiful with a long boardwalk with pretty views and live music. Service and food were just ok. Not terrible, but certainly not excellent!
They only let you have 2 checks per table max and we had a party of 7, just FYI.
Very warm inside the restaurant, food was ok but not great. Beer was warm, Moscow Mule was watered down. There are definitely better places to done at Baytowne Wharf along same price point.
It was horrible. The air vent was blowing out insulation. The manager was aware of this and did nothing other than offer to move us to a different table. She also allowed people to continue to be seated in the area where the insulation was blowing. I was shocked at how this was handled.
Giid:Great snow crab, bad: run out of oysters by 6pm. Great options for drinks.
Wonderful evening! Our food was delicious and the service excellent. Beautiful view from the outside tables.
Would not return - took an hour & a half to get our food. Never refilled our waters and never brought our second drink order. No manager on duty and though they said the kitchen was short staffed they could have refilled our waters and brought our drinks those things are not the fault of the kitchen. Also guy who was doing the live music was not good.
Food was very spicy !
Superb service, delicious food, beautiful ambiance, and absolutely gorgeous view from the second floor!
The food was okay. Not the best seafood to have in Destin.
Our server was very polite and performed every step of service, however the food was very bland and not cooked correctly. We spent about $240 dollars and left feeling very unsatisfied.
We had a reservation at 8:30, didn’t get seated until 8:50, and then sat there for another 20 minutes and no one, not even one worker, came over to check on us or even take our drink order. Terrible customer service. We actually got up and left and the only one who noticed as we walked away, was a busser. Plus, since we had to park far away, in the “additional parking” area way down by the golf course, the whole experience costs us 2 hours or more, and we all left hungry and searching for another restaurant late at night.
We had a larger party & sat outside. There was a live band & our group loved it! We were able to get drinks & wander down the boardwalk after we ordered food. Everyone left full & happy. We had a great time!
Chase White & Val were awesome! They were spot on with their service & made our evening very enjoyable. Plus the food was awesome!
Service was extremely unprofessional, rude waitress.
Our server was great but the ambiance and food were lacking. Our steak end lobster were over cooked. Food came out in a decent amount of time. No music was playing so it was very awkward environment.
For a place with lobster in the name of the restaurant I ordered the blacked lobster fettuccine and the lobster was very tough.
Meal was ok. The servers were very attentive. Biggest draw was you could make reservations although they did not have mine. Didn’t have to wait.
The food was overpriced for the quality. Also, the service was very poor. We waited over an hour for our food and that was not pleasant with young kids. I would not go back.
Food was ok but nothing special. Restaurant was so so. It was very hot upstairs, smelled stale, and the service was decent but long. Nothing to write home about. Doubt I’ll return.
Have dined here several times while in the area. Love the ambience. Always try to sit upstairs on outer portion of deck so you can see the water and also listen to the band if they are playing that evening.
Food was fantastic. Would recommend redfish and Steak & Blackened Lobster for entrees. Cajun calimari also a great appetizer. Sat outside with a beautiful view of the bay.
Was average dining experience, was one of the few restaurants that offered reservations so beggars couldn’t be choosers. Could use a deep cleaning.
Our server Chase was amazing! Great night! Loved the accommodations!
Just okay. Many more people out to dinner these days so places are crowded. The food was just okay and servers seemed disorganized although our food arrived quickly. The restaurant seems tired and could use a facelift.
Great experience. Just a little overpriced for the quality.
Do NOT go here! The manager is the worst representation of customer service. We had a reservation and when we arrived the very nice hostess seated us upstairs. The server was obviously new, which is fine. You could tell she had no training and was terrified. We ordered a beer and a bottle of wine. The beer was warm and when we asked for a cold glass for the bottle of beer, the server said they don’t have beer glasses (really???). Then we felt the bottle of wine and it was warm, this was white wine. I asked the bartender if they had a cold bottle and the answer was “nope”. We asked to chat with the manager, a young lady came to talk with us who was very nice. She apologized and went to see if they had a table downstairs where the servers are more experienced. Then the actual manager showed up. Sloppily dressed and sat down on chair and said “I hear you have a problem” we started to tell her about the wine and she said “ya I already heard about that, what’s next”. She said they are short staffed and she is lucky to even have the place open. We asked if we could be seated downstairs and she told us it’s the same inexperienced kids. That’s when we decided to leave. She didn’t even offer to pay for the warm beer (we never opened the wine). We dropped a $5 and walked out. I’m in the service industry and I’m very sympathetic to the staffing crisis.
Ms Manager - if you are reading this let me tell you how you should have handled this. “I heard you all have had some difficulties. I sincerely apologize and I will personally make sure you have a great meal if you will give us a chance to improve. Let’s seat you downstairs with a more experienced server and I will get that bottle of wine in the freezer and back to you in 10 minutes. Let me get you a fresh ice cold beer. For your inconvenience let me pay for that bottle of wine. I really appreciate your patience and trust in me to make this right”. That’s called problem resolution. Your welcome for the lesson at no charge.
Lobster was delicious, so was the “Taste of New Orleans” platter
Pain getting into the parking structure wonky to find out it was full. Decent food, when you walk in you walk by two big tanks (I assume they’re for lobsters; they were empty and dirty).
Was good food With good service. Would recommend to anyone looking for good food with a nice atmosphere. We sat outside and listened to live music as we had dinner.
Parking makes it challenging to get to this place, but do not let that steer you away. It’s in Baytown wharf with a great ambiance of a carousel, rock climbing, pizza places and delicious gelato. Service was great and it’s right on the water. Music to listen to while you eat. The bordeaux is loaded with fried food to feed a village and the taste of New Orleans was the perfect amount. Great place to grab a reservation with no wait times.
Food was really dry and had to listen to a noisy blender.
Not that great a place.
Shrimp and Grits served by personable waiter did not disappoint!
Everyone and everything was great!
Baytowne is the epitome of tourist trap. Lots of lights and dazzle, but overall, the food and service is much less than the dollars charged. The people are nice and we were seat promptly, but then it took forever, orders weren’t correct, spent 2hrs 10min on a 60 minute effort, and dropped over $230 on 4 people. I am hoping this is the COVID effect of people returning before the motivation of staff, but not interested in testing it out when we return next year. It can be $80 total and take forever like tonight, or the current price and get crap together moving forward.
Loved the jambalaya, firecracker shrimp, calamari, and coconut shrimp. And try the voodoo drink!
Service was horrible. All around the worst service we have ever had. I will not recommend this restaurant or resort.
After reading other reviews I was worried about planning a dinner here. With that said, we had an amazing experience. The food was quick and delicious, our waitress was amazing and the location was so fun! There was also live music (not too loud) which was a win for us. We will absolutely come back.
Music and view from patio were great. But the food and service was terrible. We had to send back part of the order and they forgot my daughters kids meal.
