Made reservations based on their online menu, but arrived to find out that only about 4 or 5 items from the online menu were actually available - the rest of the available menu was from the neighboring Poppy’s that made mostly casual fare - fried foods, burgers, etc. Nice outdoor atmosphere, though.

This was the worst food I have eaten in this area! We made reservations on Open Table and upon arrival was told to wait outside rudely. Chose to go upstairs to watch the Sunset and listen to the music at Hammerhead . It was very good. We had eaten at Crazy Lobster 4 or 5 times and loved the food. When we were seated we were given the menu for Hammerhead. We ask about Crazy Lobster and the waitress told us they had combined their kitchen but still had a limited menu for Crazy Lobster. We ask to see it. So we ordered Boom Boom Shrimp & Alligator rolls as appetizers then ordered Gumbo, Blackened Redfish, Lobster roll and Lobster Ravioli-all of which we had eaten before and loved. The Shrimp was good, Alligator was mushy inside the roll and inedible. The Redfish was over cooked and the Lobster Ravioli sauce was velvetta cheese. Our food was disgusting and inedible. The Lobster roll was ok. Please change the name to Hammerhead and then you would know you were going to get fried seafood and French fries. I wish the waitress would have told us nothing was available from the previous Crazy Lobster. She was very nice, trying to accommodate our request but it left a bad taste. Won’t return!!

We are here last fall and it was amazing. We were so excited to go back. Unfortunately, it is no longer the same restaurant. It is now part of Hammerheads restaurant next door and the menu only has a couple selections from the original Crazy Lobster menu. The rest of the menu is from Hammerheads. We were so disappointed. It seemed like it was a new change because even the staff seemed a bit confused. The service was a highlight of our last visit, and it was not great this time. Hopefully they will update their website and menu soon so people know what they are getting when they make a reservation.

We were informed, after being seated, that the Crazy Lobster is actually closed and we were sat at Hammerheads. We choose this restaurant due to my dietary restrictions, so to get there and no lobster. I also put in the reservation it was my mom’s birthday and nothing was even noted. We sat with no silverware, weren’t shared any specials and had to ask for appetizer plates for our appetizers. I won’t recommend this place to anyone.

Our group of 5 had a fantastic meal at Crazy Lobster/Hammerheads. The service was fast and friendly and the food was very good. We had the shrimp seafood boil, fried catfish, fish tacos and cheeseburgers. Everyone in our group thought the food was great. Live music and view of the bay was an added bonus!

Crazy Lobster is no longer in business. They are now combined with Poppys Hammerhead restaurant. It was much disappointment when we arrive to notice that it wasn’t what we saw in the reviews. The Menu was very minimal and mostly handhelds. No entrees. Definitely wasn’t what we wanted for our dinner experience. There was no music, so unless you were talking with your party it was just silence. Waiter said that they will have a new menu soon. Server was kind but nothing out of the ordinary.

While I made a reservation at The Crazy Lobster, they sat us at Hammerhead's next door. When I asked about it they gave me a menu from The Crazy Lobster that we were able to order from, but only had 6 items total. When my lobster ravioli arrived I had to ask for actual silverware, as Hammerhead's only has plastic. Just was not at all my expectation, as I had been to The Crazy Lobster before and really enjoyed the food and drinks so wanted to bring my family. I wish there was a warning of some sort that they were not fully operational when making the reservation. Disappointing indeed. On another note, our server was great and they had fabulous live music. The food we did order was good, we were just looking for more than burgers and fries.

So disappointing. We ate there this past summer and the menu was great. Lobster ravioli and higher end options. This March, while that menu is still online, they are changing the menu to mostly fried options. Service was terrible. There were three tables in the dining room being used and two servers. I am guessing the issue was the kitchen, but the servers were very inattentive. The chef was in and out of the kitchen, more out than in. In fact, he stood outside for a lengthy conversation with the host all while his kitchen was hardly operating. The menu really only required them to drop some stuff in the fry basket. When we realized the menu online was not the one they were now offering, we only ordered appetizers with a plan to leave and go elsewhere. But TWO hours later, we were finally wrapping up and the other restaurant options had closed. Disaster - stay away.
