This place has absolutely the best view in Glen Cove. The weather was warm and we sat outside. Oysters are always fresh. Love their brunches - pizza with ricotta and rucola, haloumi, tuna tartar is very very delicious. A great wine list! I think it is the best restaurant in the area!
Food, service and ambience were great! I can't wait to go back in the summer time to sit outside by the water and enjoy a great meal and many adult beverages.
this place never disappoints. Every item we had was delicious
Just topped out as my #1 Restaurant choice for 2018. Superior service, ambiance & the food, oh the food! In a word, exceptional. The perfect dining experience and this is from someone who dines out (conservatively) 200+ times a year.
Service was fantastic. Food excellent. Portions generous. The atmosphere was quiet and suitable for business dinner/meeting.
I have been to the Cove numerous times and I am never disappointed. The food is outstanding. The setting is beautiful. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. This is my favorite restaurant in NY!
Excellent choice for our son's 21st birthday night. Enjoyed a great dinner for 5 with superb entrees and delicious desserts. The Salmon was truly awesome. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very open and nice. Exactly what we were looking for. One recommendation is to turn the music down a bit. In the corner we were in it was a little loud.
I love the decor and the modern feel of this place. The food is delicious and I definitely would return to try more dishes. The service was perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive. The water views were amazing. The pricing is reasonable and fair.
Wonderful food , lovely view, great for couples and groups
Waterside outdoor seafood restaurant was a pleasant surprise
Waiter did not seem to want to be there, forgot to give us the appetizer we ordered had to ask for check. Food was average but combined with the service the overall experience was not great.
We went to The Cove on Sunday night. The place was full on the outside. We got there early but had to wait for our reserved time. Service was ok, but the food came out slow (kitchen was backed up). Food came out very slowly. We waited for over 1/2 an hour for Caesar salad, which did not have enough dressing on it, and did not taste like Caesar. They were pricey for what we got. The entrees were delicious! We had the Bronzino and a strip steak. The steak was flavorful and the mash potatoes were also tasty. The handcut fries were very good. Its a little pricey for the level of service. There were many chairs with bent legs, and broken weave on the seat, yet the restaurant was using them. There was a good crowd (albight older) at the outside bar which had a live band. The inside looked cute.
After reading the reviews I was very excited but I was disappointed. The food was bland, wasn’t worth it for me. There was also a 50 min wait for the main course. The drinks were ok but pricey, for a family of 4, we spent $246. And I still wanted something to eat when I got home. However, it was nice to sit outside.
Pretty place. Good food , attentive staff. Overpriced for what you get.
Wonderful restaurant on the water in Glen Cove. Honest value, great service, healthy oysters.
We stopped here after dropping off our son at Hofstra. We were looking for something with a water vibe. This was nice. While it was in the 90s we were able to sit outside. There was a lot of space between tables; we could have a conversation without shouting. The music was leveled just right too. We weren’t ambitious with food, going with the firecracker shrimp, a salad and some grilled Haloumi cheese with lovely cherry tomatoes. Cacio e Pepe was nice but heavy on garlic.
Our first time !
Great accès by boat
Good food and service
Definitely will be back!
Great place, just needs pro staff, not seasonal kids.
Food was OK. Very pricey for what it was. It is great to have a nice outdoor space but I am always disappointed by how slow the service is. Did not seem that busy and yet still had to wait for everything. Even saw the table behind me get frustrated and bring up their own check since they were made to wait for that too.
Service was very slow food was just fair. View was beautiful. Once the sun went down it was so dark we needed the flashlight on cell phone to see the menu.
Loved everything except for the pricey cocktails that where mostly ice cubes...
Great spot! Especially if you want to catch a beautiful sunset. The drinks were decent. The food was pretty good. The service was great. Will definitely go back again.
Excellent service and delicious food made to order. Special requests were accepted. Great wines and bar menu. Lovely setting on the water
Excellent Service, with Delicious Food! We were a party of 6. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The outdoor seating was perfect.
menu was limited and while server was good, supporting staff was below our expectations. went to manager to explain, but no reply other than sorry. disappointing but we came for the band which was great...
This restaurant has become one of our favorite places. It has great food, always fresh and tasty. It is waterfront so great for summer lunches and evenings. Service is great. Background music is great and on occasion a nice band. Definitely a keeper!!
Outdoor dining was great. Seafood and sushi was excellent. Oysters were excellent. Steak was great.
They also had live band.
Almost no accommodations were made to simple requests like some bread or crackers for the table. We were told none was available at lunch. A missing item, included with a meal, as per the menu, was not available and there was no substitution offered, it was simply omitted. The food was good, but no effort was made to ensure our return.
Great atmosphere...very limited lunch menu. The dinner menu is much better.
Great place, awesome food and service...
I've been there many times and it never fails, always consistent.
Great atmosphere! Service was good . Food was ok!
Food was amazing but waitress was very bad. At one point she said she would take our order, just had to put something down and be right back. We didn’t see her for 5 more minuets and had to ask the manager to get her. I will say the manager/owner was very quick to make corrections Thank goodness the food is so good otherwise we may be turned off to ever going back.
For good food and service it is hard to beat in a quiet environment
The location of this restaurant is prime. Set right next to a marina in Glen Cove, the view is spectacular. Seating both outside on the large patio, where a band was playing, as well as inside is ample. Now for the food & drinks. It was our first time here, so we didn't know what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. Each of us in our party of four ordered different appetizers: baked stuffed clams; crabcake; Cove salad and raw oysters @ $1.75 each. Everything was delicious! Our dinners: The grilled pork chop was cooked to perfection; the grilled salmon was moist & flavorful and the NY strip steak was enough for 2 people. Our server was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed some nice wine with our meal; we thought the cocktails a bit pricey: $14 for a Moscow Mule; the wine $10/glass for an okay pour. All in all, this place is a thumbs up and we hope it sticks around for a while as the other restaurants at this location have closed. We'll be back!
I went this past Sunday and the service was a bit slow. The food was good.
Appetizers were good and nicely presented. Cocktails same. But main courses arrived before we were even half way finished with appetizers! We had ordered the two pasta choices, one of which was cacio e pepe, which we sent back since we weren't ready. When it was returned it had been kept warm(?) somehow so now was gummy! Inedible! The wait and kitchen staff need to be instructed on how to time the courses so this doesn't happen.
The food was good the service was sketchy but their computers were down so it was difficult to say whether or not it would have been the same had they been up and running. It's nice to be out on the water.
Just love it here...great food, great service....great times
Everything was fine until their credit card machine went out computers were done people could not charge their drinks and meals
The service was slow and food aas pricey for the small amount.
