   The bottomless small plates night was a shambles. Very disorganised. Young waitress walking around like rabbits in headlights. Don’t even think we ordered and they kept bringing food to us. Order drinks and they kept forgoing to bring them.

   We had dinner here on the last Thursday evening of ‘bottomless small plates’ and the meal was fantastic. The food was great quality and cooked well. Service was good and overall we thought it excellent value for money. We have already booked again to come at Christmas which we are really looking forward to. It was definitely the best meal we have eaten out in a long time. The ambience was marked down due to the music which was rather loud and not in keeping with the restaurant but overall a fabulous evening. Would highly recommend.

   We have now visited The Courtyard Chase Lounge for Bottomless Small Plates three times during the Summer offer and have not been disappointed! Fantastic food and drink, amazing value, great atmosphere and wonderful Restaurant Manager, Chefs and Waiting Staff. The best dining experience we've had in a long while and a great addition to the dining offer in Hereford. Something to appeal to everyone on the menu and great that there are alternative drinks to the half bottle of wine per person if wine is not your thing! Have thoroughly enjoyed all food options. Great place to get together with family or friends. We only wish that this offer was here to stay, but we're looking forward to Festive Bottomless Small Plates - table already booked! To the powers that be - please bring this back and maybe consider Fridays and Saturday nights too! It would be great to see a change up in several of the dishes on the menu week on week, but happy to see some of the most popular dishes remain too! Thank you all - have really enjoyed our visits.

   The Bottomless Small Plate evening was excellent value and very enjoyable. The food is not exactly Michelin star, but it is freshly cooked and against our initial plan, we wolfed one of everything bar one on the menu. Wine perfectly acceptable; very good service, and music just about right, though in an ideal world we probably would have turned it down one notch. But that didn't stop us leaving very happy.

    The food was delicious but service was very slow. We booked to eat before seeing a performance and on the booking I specifically stated we needed to have finished eating before 8.30pm. We were at the table at 7pm but the food did not start arriving until around 7.50pm. This left us with around 30 mins to eat what we had ordered. This was a real shame because the food was really tasty and well presented, however it was too rushed and we didn’t finish. When ordering we were told that because the dishes were small plates they would be produced very quickly - sadly this was not our experience. I hope that this review is seen as constructive criticism because we could not fault the food or the politeness of the staff - if it is truly to be a pre-show food venue the service will need to be much faster.

    Booked a table for pre show dinner however on arrival it became apparent that there was no way we could dine in time for the start of the show. We had to be seated downstairs to the chagrin of the lady behind the bar! She was quite rude but the young boy who eventually seated us was quite charming

    A fantastic evening, the food was absolutely stunning and the service was brilliant. A lovely environment, we had some gorgeous cocktails in the sunshine on the terrace. Thankyou very much, we will be back again very soon.

    Not worth a visit. There's been 0 other customers on Saturday night which is suspicious. The food was really poor - baked camembert with no seasoning and not warmed throughout served with 5 slices of bread so it should really have been a bread served with cold supermarket camembert. Salmon with side of parsnip salad was just that. The best thing out of the menu were chips with cheese and bacon, well the top of the bowl was good, chips below the first layer were just plain chips. Not impressed and definitely not worth the money.

    Visited early March shortly after the chase lounge reopened. Really not impressed - food too expensive and poor quality, service also poor e.g two glasses of wine were brought over to our table by hand (no tray) with the waiters hands touching the rim of both glasses - shocking to see this. No check back on food. Ambience was lacking and lastly, no menu anywhere to be found online! There’s really no excuse for that these days - not publicly displaying a menu with prices is, IMO, underhanded and disingenuous. I stand by my rating for this visit and won’t be returning unless they really sort themselves out.

    Really disappointing experience, unfortunately, having been very excited to try out the new bar. Staff didn't know which table was which, drinks were very average and served in scratched plastic pitchers filled with ice. There was no atmosphere, and the only thing differentiating the bar from the rest of the courtyard seemed to be different furniture and a wall with climbing plants. Wouldn't go back unfortunately, as the bar has the potential to be a great spot for cocktails.

    Booked for drinks prior to the show. Received confirmation, received email a day before to confirm if we were still going. Reached there, the lounge was shut!!!! Very disappointed. Very unlike Chase.

    booked drinks table for 6 only 5 chairs luckily not busy so had to use a chair from another table. Started to rain so had to go inside & downstairs in cafe not the experience i booked for! They need heaters outside & also a canopy so if it rains we can stay on the table we booked in the chase lounge

    Very fresh and new - the waiters were given to much too so for amount of customers. they needed another person. Everyone came at once in a theatre as you’d expect. Why don’t you rota the restaurant on the amount of tickets sold surely you know how busy you’ll be? Just been constructive, it was pleasant, staff were friendly but stressed. Chef didn’t help by dinging the bell all the time.

    Horrendous. Seating was crammed together. Waiters did not know if anyone had ordered or at what stage our meal was at and to make matters worse they had run out of food, yes, run out of food at 8.00pm at night. Most definitely will give this place a miss in the future

It is difficult to predict what customers will order on any given night and we had a lot of orders for some of our main course dishes. We did however have a wide selection of small plates and other main courses available.

    Food was fantastic, but the drinks are over priced and nothing special. Orders double gin and tonics which were served in a basic tumbler with no lemon or lime, pretty poor standard considering its supposed to be a 'Chase' specialty lounge bar. The staff were friendly but had no clue about the drinks or food menu. Wouldn't rush back.

    A wonderful evening, in a stylish but comfortable setting. Exceptional service, friendly staff. Most importantly great tasting food, with a good selection of drink options. All very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to eat there again!
