   We arrived at 1830, your restaurant closed at 1900 so we didn’t really have chance to sample your menu, we only had some nibbles from the light bites menu. We had a great night and plan to do it again, so next time we will come earlier and try out the full menu.

   We had a meal before attending the G & S performance of 'The Sorceror'. There was also a show in the studio theatre so the restaurant was quite full when we arrived at 6pm, with almost all the tables either occupied or reserved. There are 6 items on the 'mains' section of the menu, and my first two selections were unavailable. With such a short selection, surely everything should have been available at that time on a Thursday evening? My husband enjoyed his turkey katsu and my fish pie was OK. The staff were friendly and helpful, as usual.

   It's a superior cafeteria, is all. We had a beef stew which, while being tasty and healthy, was only tepid by the time it reached us. Go for the salads. You will be better satisfied.

   Friendly efficient staff and a lively atmosphere. The salad bar is excellent but otherwise a strange selection of food especially the Lite bites. The lighting is dim rather than atmospheric.

   Our food was tepid warm the meat was chewy Also the bulmers red cider was totally flatfor the value of money we would of been better going to somewhere like the monument for a roast,you get alot more and piping hot.

   Menu much limited since our last visit - my wife had fish pie which she really enjoyed - however, due to the lack of burgers ( previously on the menu), I chose Lasagne which was a very poor choice - ( billed as beef - didn’t think there was much beef in the lasagne!

    Can't understand why during the Borderlines Film Festival, when films were often starting quite late, they stop food service at 7 p.m. We had to rush out of a film at 6.55 in order to eat before our next film at 8 p.m. Food quality was mediocre (e.g. why no salad dressing and do you really want chips with a lasagne?) but staff were nice. Probably better to just use the salad bar. Very noisy.

    Opted for the renowned Courtyard quiche as we were limited for time. Very disappointed with the quality of the quiche. Rather tasteless and the pastry base proved impossible to cut.

    The Courtyard Bar is a lovely place to meet and eat before a show. the service is always friendly and very welcoming and the food delicious and goo value for money. I'd recommend it to anyone. My family - ranging in age from 3 to 83 - have been meeting and eating here for at least 10 years and never once had a bad experience.

    Polite staff, but poor communication between staff. Staff weren't clear on what was gluten-free or not. Meal came out wrong, with gluten product on the gluten free option. The order needed to be done again from scratch, so we waited 75 mins from first ordering to eating which wasn't great. The meal was fair, but our portion size not great. Although other meals in the restaurant looked like a good portion size. The management acknowledged their mistake and gave us free puddings from the cake stand (which were delicious!) but as it took so long for us to get our main meal, and the kitchen had closed by the time we had eaten, we didn't have the option of pudding from the kitchen. The whole experience has put us off going again for food.

    I was disappointed with my vegetarian choice. Mixed vegetables in a sauce with a crumble topping. There were only three veg, sauce and crumble was sparse.

    Food was mediocre, acceptable but nothing special. Not a great choice of items. Arrived in reasonable time. I may dine there again but not a given! I wouldn’t put people off but suggest if they can to go to Old Market for more choice.

    We were attending a showing and allowed ample time for food beforehand. The food was very slow to come out and we had to rush. My quiche was far too salty, we all tried it and found it inedible. It was Salmon and Dill. The noise level was invasive. Echoing through the space, we could not hold a conversation between us. I have to say I was very disappointed as had had high hopes for this venue.

    We had the game casserole - 3 pieces of meat and one was too tough to even cut. All gristle. Told the manager who said sorry but I really would have liked my money back, as it wasn’t cheap.

    The surroundings were fine. Noise was what was to be expected in the space. But the food (turkey katsu and fish pie) were both dry. I am sorry to say that it was not value for money.

    The service was a little slow, but we made it to the performance, just!! Could have used more staff on the food ordering - not the most organised area!! Food was good and very tasty. It was a bit too noisy - difficult to hear the rest of the party.

    Loovely staff, food was good quality but not as advvertised on the website. i have gluten and milk iintoolerance so had checked before bookingand decided on the 5 bean chilli & riice, which was not oon the menu when we arrived so ended up having a choice of salalds which were lovely but that was llitrally the only option with intolerances. Please change the online menu to the current one. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the table was very small for 4 people & plates needed clearing and drinks when empty, but i took them to the counter myself to get them out of the way.

    Food was overcooked and dry .on four of our guesses and food messing off they plate . We are coming to eat in Apri. Let's let hope the food is OK. We don't have complaints usual, y but we were looking forward to get-togetherer after lockdown. The show was amazing. 12th Feb We came.

    We ate there at lunchtime pre show. Even though we were 15 mins early our table was ready and we could be seated. The staff were very friendly, and the service was excellent. The quiche and salad was delicious, and the other hot meals looked very tasty. Would definitely eat there again.

    Arrived around 5.pm. The restaurant was empty except for a table of five already seated. I was informed by an unhelpful member of staff with responsibility for seating diners, that our table was right at the end of the two seaters near to the bar. This table was right on the corner of that section near the obvious passageway between kitchen and the restaurant and therefore a constant thoroughfare for passing staff delivering table orders. I was told that the whole restaurant was fully booked although empty at 5pm. There was no attempt to resolve the matter with alternative seating and the staff member was very blunt, unhelpful and frankly rude- which is not a good for the restaurant hoping to keep it's future clientele. Clearly this table should not be allocated at all and it was not conducive to the enjoyment of the meal. There is nowhere on your site to chose a table and I will not choose to use the restaurant again and will inform others of our problem on social media.

    The menu was unaspiring. There was no available draught ale. The food when it came was not especially hot. The coffee was cold and undrinkable, but at least was replaced when I complained. I had heard it was an attractive place to eat before COVID but it seems the standards have dropped. Previously we booked but it was cancelled when you were unable to get enough staff.

    Use the Courtyard Cafe every time we go to see a show. Unfortunately menu needs an update with more down to earth choices ie a nice pasta dish (lasagna is like eating pudding pasta) Maybe nice bangers n mash or a homemade pie of the week. Will probably seek elsewhere to eat.

    Had some cake and a drink with my 9yr old before an event It was quiet but we had reserved a table which was all ready for us Chocolate cake was lovely and I had a pecan roulade which was gorgeous! There were lots of staff on hand

    Had lunch after the 11am film. Other than a little salad with the vegan fricasse to help it look more appetising, and a smile from the staff on the counter when ordering, I have no complaints. I thoroughly enjoy everything about The Courtyard. We are lucky to have this wonderful venue in Hereford. Our lunch followed the breakfast film showing, which is excellent value. Will highly recommend a film with tea/coffee and pastry beforehand. It is a lovely way to spend the morning.

    Good ambience. Ideal for lunch/supper before or after an event. Excellent venue for cultural entertainment, staffed by friendly and helpful volunteer stewards. Regular patrons. Looking forward to Borderline programme
