I ordered the Filet Mignon and the piece of meat I received was not a Filet Mignon. It was square in shape, of irregular thickness, and had a big piece of un-eatable gristle.

The menu was much more limited than we were anticipating - especially with what the website listed - and the delicious biscuits had been eliminated. They were out of pomegranate liquor, so the requested prosecco spritz and the pom martini were unavailable - 2 of the cocktail specials. We were informed someone was running out to get it and when we asked if we could wait until they got back we were told it would be over an hour. Nevermind. The cheese board was good, as was the rockfish entree. The chocolate chip sundae had a large brick of a cookie, but it was charred on all sides, not sure why? Not wishing to wait longer to get back on the road, we cut off the offending parts and ate the middle - 1 dessert shared by 2 people.

Underwhelmed, would not eat here again. Only thing that was good was a salad. Even a dry Kettle One martini had an odd taste to it, which I finally discovered was because the bar used olives with pimento. Very strange.

We had a fabulous time tonight. There were several new menu additions. We shared the stuffed oyster appetizer which was out of this world! The I had the coffee crusted duck which was plentiful and amazing. My wife had the venison which she raved about and we shared a nice bottle of merlot. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We started with the crab dip, which is a big favorite. Followed by the seared scallops over gingered mashed sweet potatoes and the crab cakes, which contained no filler, with Mac and cheese which was rich and delicious. We highly recommend The Counting House!

We chose the crab dip for an appetizer and the entrees consisted of Bacon wrapped bison meatloaf over mashed with braised root vegetables and the seared scallops with ginger over sweet potatoes and roasted brussels. It was excellent, and carefully prepared by Chef Bill to be gluten free to accommodate a Celiac. Then over to the bar side to celebrate a socially distant birthday with friends!

There were four in our party, three chose the venison steak which was just added to the menu. It was beautifully presented over a bed of parsnips and potatoes and equally delicious. One chose the scallops which were tender and tasty plated over creamy ginger coconut sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts. Another home run!
