   The server we had was clearly NOT knowledgeable on dietary restrictions, as I found out after what he recommended for the gluten-free sauce was definitely NOT so it was a very uncomfortable next day. At least the main allergy at the table didn't end up sick? At least the food was good, and it was surprisingly fancy for being above a popular pub!

   Very nice place with friendly staff particularly Cally the manager who was very attentive, charming and a good host

   Just don't go..... Was so awful we walked out and went elsewhere absolutely abissmal food and that was only the starters. We all sent them back and waited an hour for it to arrive! None of it was as described it was all just sloppy cold scraps! Seriously don't book go to Jamie's Italian across the road instead like we did!

   I was really disappointed as I booked the Cornerhouse to take work colleagues out that had been visiting from the US, that had particular dietary requirements. In the past I have found the extensive menu to be very good and the dining room to be lovely. But on this occasion when I arrived I was told that the kitchen was being refurbished and so we had a limited menu and that the dining room was closed so we had to sit in the main bar area, which was noisy and full of punters. The limited food option was very disappointing as we had already selected what we wanted to eat in advance from the menu on the website (where there was no mention of the refurbishment) and when what we did order arrived it was under cooked and cold. We did not stay long and it was not somewhere that my colleagues will want to return to. Had there been any advance contact (as the restaurant had my details) it could have really helped to improve the situation.

   First of all they didn't have our booking even though I had a text to confirm we were still going the day before our booking. They did manage to sit us. The food was vastly over priced. Two of us had the burger, the bun was far too big for the burger and you could count the number of skinny chips we had. Then before we had finished deserts they were asking to vacate the table. To top in all the bill was wrong, it contained more drinks than we had.

   We were shown to an upstairs table and it was near the cooking area. Very hot. There was also a prosecco party there that was understandably very noisy. Service was very slow (it was busy and not enough staff) and food when it came was good but it arrived in dribs and drabs so we were not able to eat at the same time.

   Decent food. Our table was booked for 6.45 . There was no bass left , one chicken dish wasn’t there, also no rib eye steak left. Not the waiters fault, but a bit disappointed.
