The Corner House Canterbury is an independently owned restaurant situated on the outskirts of Canterbury city walls, serving British produce, locally sourced.
The restaurant opened in July 2016 and is a one of Canterbury’s most popular venues to visit. The 16th Century former coach house, overlooks the city walls and its beautiful refurbishment retains lots of its original character.

Our main restaurant seats up to 40 guests where you can watch our chefs at work in our open kitchen. We have recently opened our second dining room which looks out onto our beautiful garden, ideal for large gathering and available for private dining which seats up to 26 guests.

With 5 beautiful and characterful en suite guest rooms, it is the perfect place to stay when visiting Canterbury. Just a minute’s walk from Holman’s Meadow car park and a short walk from Canterbury East train station and the city’s the main bus station, it is so easily accessible for your visit.

Our waitstaff was attentive and sharp. Eden was fantastic. Food was great—grazing board for two, beef Wellington for two—excellent as well, especially paired with suggested wine. Bread was house made. Brown bread ice cream? Yes, please! Great experience. RIP Daisey. You were a fine cow.

Perfect. Great food, excellent service. It was a hot day and we were offered an outside table or an indoor table with aircon- the latter proved just the ticket.

A fantastic restaurant situated just on the outskirts of Canterbury. A brilliant blend of indoor and outdoor dining areas, including an outdoor gazebo area. The restaurant has a wonderful ambience, which relies on the buzz of the customers rather than music, which is what we prefer. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel at home, the owner (Matt) was on hand to welcome us and also made an extra effort to make my normally very shy kids feel at ease. It was my wife's birthday and the staff left her a handwritten birthday card which was incredibly touching. The food was stunning, excellent portion sizes, plenty to choose from, but not an overbearing menu, and a great mix of dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients. The BBQ sharer for two is a perfect choice if you're a meat eater, but everyone is catered for. We can't wait to go back again to try something different James, Catherine, Ceira and Luke Cameron

Absolutely loved our visit to the Corner House, brilliant for a special lunch. Because it's not right there on the high st, it was quite quiet, really nice calm and airy ambience The one member of serving staff was the right amount of attentive, very friendly and professional. Delicious food, really tasty, unusual plant-based choices which is a rarity (proactively brought nondairy butter). My first visit, definitely not my last!

We know the restaurant very well from when they were in Minster however the Canterbury one has more to offer !!! Consistent great food - service and location. Highly recommended

What a fantastic place. Positive comfortable atmosphere. Friendly efficient staff. A very good choice of food on the menu. The service and the food was exceptional. Very good value. Thank you for a lovely evening. Would recommend and return.
