Dining in our Restaurant
The Corner House Canterbury is an independently owned restaurant situated on the outskirts of Canterbury city walls, serving British produce, locally sourced.
The restaurant opened in July 2016 and is a one of Canterbury’s most popular venues to visit. The 16th Century former coach house, overlooks the city walls and its beautiful refurbishment retains lots of its original character.

Our main restaurant seats up to 40 guests where you can watch our chefs at work in our open kitchen. We have recently opened our second dining room which looks out onto our beautiful garden, ideal for large gathering and available for private dining which seats up to 26 guests.

With 5 beautiful and characterful en suite guest rooms, it is the perfect place to stay when visiting Canterbury. Just a minute’s walk from Holman’s Meadow car park and a short walk from Canterbury East train station and the city’s the main bus station, it is so easily accessible for your visit.

It was my first visit and I was pleased with the whole experience. Food and service were both good - even the tap water for the table was nicely chilled. Will go again.

Went on Tuesday for dinner, there were about 5 other tables occupied. Took a little while to get seated and served but service was efficient and friendly. Starters: sausage roll (would reorder, meat was so tasty but we weren't fans of the ketchups), whipped tofu (would reorder, but would prefer stronger miso flavour in tofu) Mains: flat iron steak (must order! Best sauce ever, beignet filling was also amazing), crab tart (would reorder but was not a fan of the salad dressing and peas were very hard) Dessert: brown bread ice cream (would reorder, unique flavour), strawberry and basil sorbet (would prefer less sweet)

easy to park,friendly staff. Two lovely waitresses,polite,attentive with smiles. Relaxing atmosphere,not ostentatious. Excellent food, never had flat iron steak before but superb flavour. Very reasonable prices. No complaints, will visit again.

This was our first visit. We were using a voucher that had been purchased for us, by family, for Christmas. We were absolutely over the moon with our experience. The service was faultless and the food was absolutely delicious. Our food was cooked to exactly what we had asked for and I would definitely return especially for a special occasion.
