The food and service was great and our waiter had great knowledge on the food and drinks. While the overall atmosphere was very nice, it happened to be a rainy night and rain was coming in and getting us wet. We did slide our table over and the rain still seemed to fine us. We told the waiter and he joked that they do not really have a roof up there. We later asked the hostess for a manager and when we told her why, she indicated "oh" and stated he was not around. There were at least two other areas with water coming in. It makes you wonder if they do not take care of the roof, what else is being neglected. I would recommend only if it is not raining outside.

Great choice for family night. Game night with our 11 year old + dinner was a success! So many choices of games with a decent selection of food. A bit pricey but good.

First time here, was hoping for a better experience. Service was good , nice atmosphere. Hands down the worst Bloody Mary I have ever had ! Watered down . Tasteless. Chicken sandwich was all coleslaw and bread . My son took me here. He had been before and had a good experience. He agreed this time was a flop. Please note. We did not play board games .

Great place for smaller groups. Loved the game variety they had to choose from! Service was awesome, checked in on our table regularly. They have the best Mac and cheese and it’s huge portion. Let the dice decide is a great and fun drink where you roll dice and the dice have ingredients that determine your drink! Great if you wanna be a risk taker and try something new!

Great food! This restaurant has a lot of seating - some for dinner and other seating to play games. There are many board and card games to choose from. The axe throwing is not available as "walk in" for the next two weeks. However, it is expensive to get a reservation - $40 for 2 hours and you don't get to throw many axes for that amount of money. Anyway, the restaurant is great! The service was OK. Our server was a little argumentative and wanted to join our conversation.

I really like this place - it’s welcoming and cozy with a fireplace and game corner. While there’s no special menu for kids, it’s still welcoming.

We arrived at Corner Bar and we had to wait 30 minutes for our reservation to be ready, so that wasn’t ideal. However, we were then sent complimentary appetizers as soon as we were seated which was awesome. The shrimp was so bad, it was so salty that no one could eat it. Everything else was good! Our server was amazing and took excellent care of us.

They took out the best part of the mac and cheese (candied bacon). The rest of the food isn't as good as it was when it first opened either. And their cocktail list is incredibly short when compared to their beer list.

Overall cool concept with the games, but the food and drinks aren't really able to compete with the rest of Ferndale.

Excellent food! We got the sliders, mac and cheese, fries, and bag of donuts. The donuts are mini, so be warned that the 6 may not be enough. If you want to play games, you cannot sit in the dining area, so get there early to get a game table- they have like 7 gaming tables and that is it. FYI- your reservation through OpenTable is for the dining area so don't make one through this if you want to play games, just walk in.
We did bring a toddler with us, they had high chairs available which was nice.

We visited for the first time as we were in the area for the Wild Lights at the zoo. What a great concept and how refreshing to see people engaging in conversation and playing various board games. Old school fun while enjoying an extensive beer selection and creative food choices. Jordan our server was helpful with food recommendations and attentive. Highly recommend for people of all ages.

Overall great experience! At first had no waiter right away and had to flag someone down. Jordan ended up our waiter and he was fantastic! Very personable and knowledgeable on the menu. We ordered off of his suggestions and was totally happy! We tried the green beans and cauliflower side dishes first and they were DELISH! I got the cauliflower steak sandwich which was VERY GOOD! My date had the ribeye salad and loved it! The portions were great for prices paid. Being able to choose from so many board games was fun! We drove in from Ann Arbor, will be coming bk! Only suggestion is to have more “typical” family games on hand as those seemed the first to go.

I ate at the Corner Grill last Saturday with my friends and husband. I talked to our waitress about being gluten free and how hard it is to get a good meal. In no time the manager was at our table asking me about being gf and eating out. He listened, took note and said they are always trying to improve the menu. I had their Broke Chicken and it was delicious and gf. Later, the owner stopped by our table to ask about our meals. Everyone one we spoke to was so gracious and kind. After dinner we played games at the bar and eventually made our way to throw axes. It was a great evening! Great food, great company, and wonderful staff. I have already recommended it to my friends and plan on going back soon.

We love this restaurant. It is so fun to have a leisurely dinner with friends and then go to the game expert and select a super fun game. We either stay at our table or move to the couches depending on the night of the week. You can't play games at the tables on weekend nights. I am gluten free and I manage to find some yummy things. If you like games and hanging with friends this is a perfect place.

Our service was good generally speaking, but the food came out in a bit of a rush, even though it was not crowded at all. Instead of bringing soup out first and letting folks enjoy that before the main course, it was all brought out at once. That shouldn't happen, even if it is crowded.

We had a great time as a family group at the Corner Bar. Mushroom burger, chicken sandwich, steak salad, Mac and cheese, fries with spicy ketchup, and fresh donuts were all great. Burgers were so-so. Great beer list. We loved the game play while waiting for our meal, and enjoyed watching some axe-throwing! Our waitress was great and we were very comfortable there with a mixed group of kids and adults. Fireplace and couches add a cozy feel. We’ll be back!

So unfortunately my friends and I were not able to eat at The Corner because there was a issue with the kitchen.( I made a reservation for my birthday a week ago) We found that out after I arrived for the reservation. When I was told the kitchen was closed I was bummed out but I understood why so I got over it. My friend and we’re deciding what to do, when the hostess I think her name was Dana. Came over and offered to give me a $200 gift card for the inconvenience. That amazing gesture was unexpected but very much appreciated. I can not wait to go back and dine and play games at The Corner.

I’m so glad they take reservations unlike most Ferndale restaurants on weekends. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and we had 6 people. They seated us right away. The food was delicious. Hubby had the rainbow trout and it could have used more color, maybe something green to improve the presentation, but it had good flavor. I had the chicken sandwich and it was amazing!!!

Corner Bar has an eclectic menu and tons of delicious choices. Unfortunately we were disappointed by the donut machine being broken because we know how phenomenal they are. Hey seemed understaffed as our waitress was working several large tables. But food came out quickly and drinks were pretty quick also. Always a good spot in my eyes

A BEAUTIFUL wood burning fireplace!
The food was #awesome. We shared the rock shrimp.I had the Planavon salad with ribeye. The salad had a great flavor. I would have preferred 'more' green lettuce and less iceberg. The ribeye added more protein but not more flavor. Papi ordered the chicken sandwich and it was kind of 'amazing'! I loved the bread ESPECIALLY!
Our server was a little slow, but very attentive.
BUT... those DONUTS... OMG is all I can say!! :)
