The Cork 1794
The steak was bland and was not a great cut. The lasagna red sauce was also bland just like the sushi stack.
Really excellent, upscale dining in Erie! Inventive food; thoughtful preparations.
I have had business dinner here twice before and the food and service was excellent so I wanted to bring my family for brunch after church and I was very disappointed with both the service and the food, the waitress (when they finally decided who was going to wait on the table) was aloof and inattentive, my husband and mother in laws eggs were over done, I know that happens so that wasn’t too big an issue, but their sausage and my daughters bacon wasn’t even warm, my roasted tomatoes on the eggs Benedict were also cold. We were told by the waitress that the lemon piccata pancakes were no longer available at noon (brunch is from 10-3) after asking another staff member was told they were just out of blueberries but could substitute strawberries. I will give it another try and do recommend but was very disappointed with brunch which was a special treat for my daughter going away to college.
The breakfast items were fantastic. There were choices available not common to other places in Erie serving breakfast and something for everyone. The music duo was a nice surprise. They sounded great and our party commented on how enjoyable they were to have while eating our breakfast.
Wonderful ambience, service and menu! Loved the bar decor and food was delicious!
Enjoyed a delightful dinner at the Cork 1794 this weekend. I had the Cioppino and my husband had the special Ribeye-best dinner EVER! We decided to sit indoors, but the outside terrace was so inviting. This place is our absolute favorite for ambience, culinary excellence and fantastic service! Can't wait to go back again soon!
I have been to The Cork on multiple occasions since they opened and have not been disappointed to date. The food has been excellent every time as has the service. My only concern is that the number of menu selections is rather small. I hope there are plans for a new menu for the fall.
THE CORK 1794 IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IN ERIE !!! Me and my grandpa enjoyed another superlative dinner at The Cork!! I’m on a gluten free diet and I say every time The Cork is the only restaurant that has so many gluten free options but also knows the allergy and executes properly to ensure everything is in fact gluten free! I always look forward to seeing manger Tammy and talking to her I always enjoy our conversations. She is the star of the restaurant! I been to The Cork numerous times and everything on the menu sounds AMAZING but I’m in love with their Filet Mignon!! They may have to change the name to Cork 1794 steakhouse!!! Chef Joe is a master chef genius that propels perfection out of the kitchen with every plate and the seasoning is always on point. I especially love the touch of finishing salt on top and the sauce on the filet it truly makes it a one of kind experience! I love the famous Butcher and Singer in Philadelphia but The Cork here has them beat thanks to Chef Joe and his incredible cooks!! I always request for Ken as my server!!! He is the definition of perfectionist and a great guy overall. I love seeing all The Cork staff like Krista and Diane. The Cork is like family!!! I don’t know how you can top the best but every time I leave The Cork I say this was the best one EVER!!!! The best filet on the entire east coast and the mashed potatoes are the creamiest and whipped like a fluffy cloud!!! Ken, Chef Joe, Tammy thanks for another out of this world experience!!!!
Great food and great people!!
My wife and I enjoy eating here.
First time to the Cork and went away very pleased. Everything was professional. Food was prepared and very good. Our server was very good,Evan getting us to get the chocolate cake for dessert. Very good!!
Celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday with our daughter!!
The service, ambience and food was wonderful....
They do need to work on the noise level- difficult
To hear across a table.
Great place to celebrate a Wedding Anniversary !
I lowered my service stars because it took some time before my husband and I were served at the bar and there were few people in the entire restaurant. Secondly, after being sat at our table for dinner, 5:00pm reservation, it took 10 minutes before we were even noticed. Food was delicious and temperature of it perfect!
Excellent food, great service! Loved sitting outside, great place for a special dinner.
This restaurant was recommended to us. My spouse and I, along with another couple were celebrating our 29th and 35th wedding anniversaries respectively. We desired a relaxing, yet special evening. We couldn't have been happier! The food was excellent! We each ordered a different item. Each of us tasted a little of everyone's selections. We enjoyed the watermelon salad, the charcuterie board, the lasagna, the halibut (the salmon was unavailable as the supplier was unable to provide it), the crab cakes, and a dinner salad with chicken. The food was fresh and tasty. Despite the fact that the restaurant was full, our server was attentive and appropriately paced our meal to allow the four of us time to celebrate our anniversaries together, talk, and leisurely enjoy our courses. The management offered each of us our choice of a dessert item in honor of our anniversaries. Next time we are in Erie we will definitely plan another visit!
Great service, food, ambiance and music for a Sunday brunch. Def recommend!
Our server was beyond amazing! Can not remember the last time we have been out and the service was that fabulous! Thank you so much for hiring the best!
This restaurant is very upscale with wonderful ambience. Our waiter was excellent and the food was scrumptious. The homemade dinner rolls were particularly tasty.
always my favorite restaurant! Wether it’s Sunday Brunch, Lunch, or Dinner The cork NEVER disappoints! Today on my 10th visit at the cork since their opening in November was a fantastic lunch on the gorgeous outside patio. I had the cork burger on the gluten free bun!! AMAZING!!! this restaurant is the best on so many levels. The staff, the food and most importantly the only restaurant in Erie that knows and accommodates gluten free and they always are the best!!! Never had a better burger in my life. They even did my French fries in a separate fryer!!! Firecracker shrimp as the appetizer the best!!! I already made dinner reservations for next week!!! Love the Cork. Best Filet Mignon in Erie maybe best anywhere and the best burgers. Tammy the manger is absolute best too!!! The cork always a go to for me
Food is good but not great. The decor is confusing. Too many hard surfaces reverberates the noise. I liked the Cork in Northeast better.
My girlfriends birthday
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Can't wait to go back again.
Excellent food and service! The server Abby is especially good and attentive and Tammy circulated professionally assuring the dining experience was memorable. Well done Cork 1794!
Menu was limited. Atmosphere was nice and secluded for a business dinner.
Wonderful little gem of a restaurant outstanding food outstanding service wonderful atmosphere
Food was great
Service was somewhat slow
Surprised by the higher level of noise
A culinary delight in Erie, PA. Really outstanding team in the kitchen. Excellent service and a delightful experience in every way!
If you are going to be high end act like. No one asked us if we wanted another drink (it was a birthday). My food was under cooked which Ken (who was not our server)took care of right away. He is an example of exceptional service. I stopped going to cloud 9 because he left. He is a great resource and should be used as such. I will come back the appetizers were very good and most of my party enjoyed their food.
Went for a birthday dinner with my girlfriend. Sat on patio. Beautiful patio and weather was perfect. Had the fillet which was phenomenal and the chocolate cake for dessert. Very cool atmosphere and great service highly recommend
We brought some out of town friends to Cork on a recent Saturday night. Our server, Maggie, was exceptional. I had the scallops entree and honestly, they were THE BEST scallops I’ve ever had. One of our friends had the soft shell crabs for an appetizer and he was thrilled about them. He also had the chicken as his entree, which he liked but felt it was a bit overdone. We enjoyed a great evening. Would definitely recommend as a great place to share dinner with friends.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere but super pricey. For example, be prepared to spend almost $20 for a glass of wine.... Would return for a periodic special occasion.
The food is delicious. The space is a little loud but well decorated. Service was very good.
Had very high hopes of a good evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The dining seating was along the wall (just on the other side of the bar), and the noise level was very loud. Did not expect that for a fine dining experience. The clams were overdone and chewy, the pasta would have been ok, but must have set for a while and was clumped together. Serving portions were good. Service was acceptable, however the spoon brought with soup was unclean and had to ask for another.
For the high end prices, it did not feel like a high end restaurant.
Ribeye steak special was excellent. Service sucked. Girl was confused .slow. Not interested . Been there now 6 times. Need more training. I also live in south Florida.i know good service.
We sat on the patio which was very nice. The tables were not level so wobbled as we ate. This did not affect the fabulous food not the excellent service.
Not enough good things to say!! My wife and I went there for brunch to celebrate her birthday and the food, the service, the ambiance—absolutely everything was marvelous!
We’re both very excited to try the other restaurants under this ownership if the standard and consistency of quality is like that of The Cork!
Great food. We were there early enough - the music was just setting up and the crowd was just arriving - that the noise level was not an issue. The service was exceptional.
The first time we went here, it was delicious and the service was great. On our most recent trip, the service was not great (asked about food descriptions and was not told all information, rarely checked on, brought the wrong order) and our food was subpar for the cost. My steak was overcooked and my fiance's clam Alfredo was watered down to the point of tasting like soup. I don't know of we'll be back.
We were in town and friends recommended for dinner.
Good, service, and ambiance were good.
