The Copper Still - East
A varied selection of beers complement the fairly standard pub-grub menu. It's a good place to grab a quick menu before catching a movie at one of the nearby theaters in the East Village.
Don’t book this place on Open Table
because when you walk in and check in
With them, they are not smart enough to
check off your reservation in the computer and so NO POINTS FOR YOU!!!
Nice place! I went to a Saturday brunch with some Friends. We elected to do bottomless mimosas for the 90-minutes. Unfortunately the waiter was very slow with refilling our drinks. I had to get up from the table multiple times so see if he had forgotten about us. I would recommended this restaurant but just be aware that they workers are on their own schedule!
Great straight forward food.
On par in regards of taste!
Value for you money wise this is absolutely an advised spot!
Friendly place, good food & drinks before going to Village East Cinema theater which is less than 2 blocks away.
Not great, won't return. Pretzel was good but dipping sauce and mustards were chalky and odd. Fried chicken was fine but mashed potatoes were cold. Staff barely spoke.
we enjoyed the food, especially all the sauces that came with the entrees. Bacon chutney and the bacon ranch
Good food, friendly service! We were acknowledged and seated right away, never waited long for anything, and liked the atmosphere.
went for brunch. nice menu. food very good. but the waitress service was pretty poor. lots of seats around the bar and probably is a good place for drinks. but we sat at a table, no drinks.
Great eggs benny and drinks, would recommend to a friend!
Friendly staff with good service. Not the largest choice of food menu but good quality and reasonably priced. Drop in for happy hour for extra value. Brilliant but mind boggling whiskey menu - so many to choose from.
Great Brunch, great service, and really reasonable in a time when the prices in the city are ridiculous!
Glad to have found this place, will be back.
Great, cozy pub to watch a game in! We watched the World Cup here, and it was perfect for the occasion.
Great spot in the East Village area. Excellent service, the food was great and the place is comfortable and clean.
They do an excellent brunch.
The Copper Still has some delicious brunch items, including the avocado toast and a chicken and waffles that could rival any of the city's more famous soul food eateries. It's a particularly good option if you're seeing a matinee at CSC. The service, however, is inattentive and distracted, which, if you're there for brunch and going the bottomless route, can be particularly frustrating.
I really wanted to love it here because it’s so clos
This was an amazing brunch experience!! Loved the eggs benny and our service was outstanding. Always a great meal and experience when we get to go to the Copper Still!!
Nice place for brunch. Food is good. Drinks are ok. Unlimited minosa or Bloody Mary for $15 with meal. Not strong but exactly what you normally get with those types of deals. Overall they do everything well enough for an everyday type restaurant
Brunch was awesome
Great place for whiskey lovers! The servers are super knowledgeable. Ask for recommendations if you can’t decide what to order.
Nice outdoor seating.. Great drinks and snacks
A group of 5 of us came for Brunch at noon on a Saturday and for a while, we were the only people in the place, but around 1-2 it started filling up more. We did the unlimited mimosas and they did not disappoint. Our server was lovely and the food was really delicious. A successful brunch and we weren't crammed and could hear one another talk.
Very limited food menu...huge whiskey offerings...nice bar scene but very loud..not a place for conversation
Awful on a Saturday night. Too noisy. I would never go back on a Saturday night
Great selection toon of scotch
Good food, good vibes, the whiskey selection was great.
Food was terrible nothing like their website showed, we did not finish a single dish yet our waitress never once asked if the food was okay.
Small but well managed food menu. Very impressive inventory of scotch and rye whiskeys.
The waitress was obviously very new, so I can't hold it against her and we still tipped her well, but the management could have done a better job training her. For a bar known for its bourbon selection, she didn't know a thing about bourbon and had to ask questions about the menu. She did ask, and I give her a lot of credit for that. But the restaurant should have either trained her better or provided a buddy to train her while she served customers. Thankfully, it was slow when we were there so it didn't delay service too much. Overall, the food is amazing and I'm sure with the right staff this is a great place to go.
Love this place! Their focus is on whiskey, but they have a large selection of other cocktails, beer, and wine. Love the Gin Float and Antioxidant Martini! Food is amazing. I especially love the mac and cheese, fried chicken, and lamb burger. The vibe is classy yet easy-going and fun. Good music. Can't wait to go back!
