Steak and Eggs
You don't have to be a lumberjack to eat like one! Enjoy a 8oz Flatiron cooked to order topped with eggs the way you like them. Served with breakfast potatoes and your choice of toast with butter and Nanny's Blueberry Jam
Castle's Famous Short Ribs
short rib, demi glace
wilted spinach, blistered tomato, feta
Fries were cold. Not many ingredients in my shrimp tacos.
We had reservations at 6, and waited 15 minutes for someone to greet us...and the place was basically empty. From the time we were seated until we received our meal was an hour. It was unbelievably slow, and the food was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't wonderful either. It was expensive and not worth the price. Won't ever go back.
We really enjoyed the ambiance and food presented. Walking the grounds afterwards was a seller on the whole experience. The waitress was super nice and friendly. We really treasured our experience.
Worst meal ever. Would not recommend getting the chicken Oscar. Half raw chicken and the crab was straight from a can. The hollandaise sauce was greasy and separating. My friend got the same dish. Her chicken was over cooked, same crab from a can and separating sauce. Waitress was attentive. Cannot blame her for lousy food.
Meh food, but friendly service
Convenient. On property and closest dining experience for 5-10 miles at least. Food was okay. We had the Cauliflower appetizer and it was delicious. The food was good -- Chicken Milanese, Salmon and the House Salad was fine. Service was adequate, not much personality, attentive but not warm or additive in any way to the experience.
Excellent food, exceptional meal. Great server and wonderful dining experience !
Very nice menu and service. Our server was just right. Great food. Try the chocolate torte and the French press coffee for dessert!
Can’t say enough good about The Copper Mug. I had salmon. It was fantastic! Side were the broccoliets and carrots. Yummy! It was delicious. My husband ordered steak and shrimp. The steak was as tender as a butter sandwich and the shrimp were HUGE and very good. We both agreed it was even better than the Golden Lamb in Lebanon, Ohio!
My husband and I went with two other couples and we all enjoyed our meals. The cauliflower wings were excellent. The tuna poke appetizer was good but the shell tasted a bit burnt. The French onion soup was quite tasty as were the salads and sides everyone had. For entrees we had the fillet and shrimp(the shrimp were huge and delicious), the short ribs, and the ribeye. The steaks were all cooked well. The portions were very generous, so we had no room to try dessert. We ate inside because they were full outside. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you want a more upscale meal while enjoying the activities around the Mohican River.
Great food and service. The restaurant was just as you would expect from a bar and grill but the food took it to a new level.
Very friendly and accommodating to us with our 9 month old.
Great food, service and ambiance! Will be back soon!
We were celebrating our 56th wedding anniversary and really we couldn't have chosen a better place!! The food and service were excellent,
Hand cut fries were the hit for me, even though small serving for the price. Burger was very good. Oh and the new york cheesecake was amazing!! Waitress was slow on service.
Completely beautiful the landscape everything was so very well maintained the staff was extremely polite and helpful and the food was excellent
Locally sourced options
Worth the price tag

It was hot! Otherwise so great there
Had 7:30 res, told waitress we had a 9pm tour and she said not to worry we will have plenty of time. So we ordered food and drinks by 7:40 and then waited far too long for the entrees. At 8:54 our food was delivered so we had to ask for to go boxes! We got out the door in 4 minutes with our entire meal in a bag. No napkins or utensils. At 10:30 after the tour we had the delicious food… cold, without utensils.
Food was amazing and our server had us laughing for hours! It was a wonderful experience.
A hidden gem in the woods. Unique atmosphere with friendly staff. Delicious food. Will recommend to others.
Great place to get away from it all! Great food and service. Quiet and peaceful.
Service was great, food was very good. The blueberry jam I wish I could take home. It was nice to be able to walk over and see the castle after dinner. It was a very nice experience for our anniversary.
6 of us met here to celebrate a birthday and sat on the patio. The hostess was most accommodating and the server (Kayla) was excellent. We stayed several hours because we come from different parts of Ohio and wanted to catch up. We were made to feel very welcome and were not rushed at all. The food and drinks were all winners: pretzels and beer cheese, shrimp tacos, special salad, BLT, poutine and more. We loved it here and hope to return.
Our family of 5 enjoyed a relaxing dinner out on the patio. The view and the grounds were beautiful. The service was excellent. The food was good with large portions. My kids ate like royalty off the kids menu! Nice drink menu. The price was a bit more than usual but we agreed we were paying for the experience of eating at a castle! We definitely took advantage of that and walked all around the grounds to check things out. It was fun! I would recommend for families looking for a fun experience.
We were here 2 years ago for the ghost walk & decided to try the restaurant...we loved it so much that my son chose it for his 24th birthday dinner this year...& once again we were not disappointed! It was outstanding...the food, the service, the entire experience. I highly recommend this restaurant!!
This is genuinely a fantastic place to dine and a beautiful area! The food is incredible! We took my parents there to eat and they loved it! We will definitely return! A new favorite place!!
I was so hoping that our experience would be outstanding but I was so disappointed to take my family here for lunch. It is in a beautiful setting and very pretty inside. Our waitress was very nice and kind towards all 10 of us. BUT we had to wait close to an hour for our food. It was not busy at all maybe 4 other tables. We had 4 small children with us so it was difficult to entertain them that long even though they had their coloring on their placemats. One of us overheard the waitress tell another table of 4 that the computer crashed but our waitress never told us that. It would of helped if she came to apologize and explain but honestly I don’t see why that is an issue when there are only 4 tables to deal with. Then write it down. Oh, there was just the one waitress, too. I understand that staffing is an issue because of covid but in this case a manager should be helping out this poor lady. As I was walking outside to entertain our smallest grandchild while we waited for our food, there was a lady who looked the part of someone who had some Authority changing lightbulbs in a strand of lights around a tree on the patio of the restaurant. I’m not sure what her actual job was at the property but lights would not be my first priority. The food was ok. French fries were delicious. My husband had a very good French onion soup but he said the bowl was just half full. The bread on the Grilled cheese sandwiches that the kids had was barely toasted, still white. Tomato soup was delicious. The kids who ordered the grilled cheese sandwiches were supposed to get ice cream with their lunch since it was off the children’s menu but there was no way we could wait around for that. The other members in my family said the food was ok. But for $15 lunches, we expected more. I had planned this outing/lunch for my family for a few months and wanted it to be nice for them but it made me sad. Hopefully for other people going on a different day it will be better.
Just OK, won't go there except for special occasion.
Food is fantastic. Relaxed atmosphere cozy and comfortable
Food and service was superb. Our table was right at the kitchen door with lots of traffic which distracted from a nice, relaxing dinner. Otherwise, great evening.
Food quality not worth the price. Would not recommend.
Good service friendly folks. Not rushed at all either.
We have had breakfast and dinner on four occasions when visiting the Mohican area. We have always had a great experience when dining there. Will definitely return!
Great food and friendly staff. Whitney was super nice. Would definitely go again.
Beautiful outdoor patio, quiet country atmosphere delicious food and drinks. Big fans of the Mule drinks and the short ribs. Bacon wrapped kielbasa and stuffed mushrooms were also a hit.
The restaurant provided much choices on the menu, we enjoyed our entrees and the experience. Service and food was quick and everything came out as requested.
Our stay and meals (dinner and breakfast) were both very enjoyable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
The staff was very accommodating for various dietary restrictions we brought to the table! Great experience and will definitely be back!!
Mother's Day Brunch.
The food was good. I would recommend that the food at least be warm. The food had a very good flavor and was delicious. That is my only complaint. I drove two hours to get there.
