A wonderful experience on a Monday evening. We took out of state guests and we were not disappointed! They were wowed by the grounds and ambiance. The food was great; always love their salmon! Best of all was our server who made our time there extra special!
Excellent server and good
Very nice experience!!!
We had an amazing waiter and an overall great experience eating here! It made my moms birthday very special.
Was there with a group, they knew we were coming because reservations were made. My burger was done right, fries way too salty. Part of our party received their food after all others were finished. Heard many complain that their burgers were not cook properly. Service was very slow. A set price was negotiated when reservation was made, the bills were wrong and had to be refigured. I think it is a little outrageous to spend $15.00 for a burger & fries than extra for a drink plus tip add on top of cost do understand the tip was because of the size of the group but I definitely would not have left the amount of tip negotiated with the service we had.
Everything was fantastic. The porterhouse meal for 2 is the way to go!
Our reservation was for 6:30pm-we were seated on the patio, per our request. We waited a fair amount of time for the waitress to come to our table, and even longer to get water and a bottle of wine. The water was in a very small glass, which normally wouldn’t be a big deal but our waitress didn’t visit us for 15-20 minutes at a time. She was very nice. We were thankful to get two four small rolls and some blackberry(?) jam and butter-the rolls were okay, the jam was delicious. When our meals came to us an hour and a half after we were seated, my husband’s meal was cold and the cheese was not melted on his pork schnitzel, the side of lobster Mac n cheese was cold and rubbery, the baked potato was average at best. Which was the only food item on his plate that he was able to eat. My meal was the chicken Milanese, the seasoning was good, again average baked potato and there was a hefty amount of arugula on the chicken. The asst general mgr was amazing and comped our meals, and apologized so we decided to give them another chance the next day for lunch-we also tipped our waitress generously. The next day’s lunch was almost as bad. We were seated inside this time, received the two small glasses of water, ordered a “pitcher” of Rum Swizzle drink-we specifically asked for two copper mule mugs-we are eating at the copper mug grille, afterall-the server JJ told us sure -when he came back to our table a while later, he delivered the rum swizzle in a pitcher that was approx the size of s standard glass pickle jar and it was filled with what tasted like the old fashioned pineapple juice tgat you would get at the grocery store in the 80’s -we didn’t taste ruin at all. Also, we got two small glasses, no copper mule mugs. After another long wait, we got our burgers and fries-the burgers were decent, and the fries were okay-we asked for ketchup when ordering and didn’t get it when the food was delivered to us-so we had to ask again-$76 for lunch, way too expensive
Staff was friendly. Wait time was appropriate. We had a wonderful dining experience.
Amazing food. I thought the restaurant was going to be busier and full but it wasnt. Nice and quiet. Service was good. The lobster bisque and salmon were so good. Would go again.
The Copper Mug is a great place to enjoy good food. The food is superb, the drinks were well made with homemade ingredients and service was excellent. during our visit another table had several small very loud children so the ambiance was not as we had hoped for. However this in no way is a reflection on Landoll's, just on poor parenting. lol if you go you will not be disappointed.
I had the bougie burger, it was a burger with mushrooms and a garlic truffle aioli sauce, except there was no sauce. Evidently only the "executive chef" can make the aioli, and he has been out of work with a bad back, so my sandwich was served dry. With no offer for a replacement, discount, nothing...When asked about it the waitress brought out honey mustard, about 15 minutes later.
One of the better dinners we have had in a while.
The stuff mushrooms were excellent. The Peppercorn Sauce that came with them was amazing!
Steak was so tender and cooked perfectly. Short ribs were amazing as well.
Great place to eat!
The food was excellent. We had the braised short ribs as well as the Schnitzel. Only complaint was that the bear cheese over the schnitzel made it overly salty. May have been better with none (or less) on top.
Beautiful dinner for our anniversary. Enjoyed the food
Steak and shrimp was awesome. The steak was tender and the seasoning on the shrimp was soo good.
Salad came with the dressing on it, way too much. Should have asked for it on the side.
Great beer and wine menu.
Breakfast outside tormented by bees, there’s a solution for that🙄 Food was excellent. Dinner, I couldn’t cut my chicken or brocilini, however it was flavorful. Breakfast second day, eggs over cooked. Austin, our server was the bomb😊
The restaurant was peaceful. The waiter was very friendly and checked in on us if we needed anything. The food was delicious. Everything hot and fresh. We had the burgers. Cooked just right. Fries fresh and hot. Thank U.
We celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful dinner. The Filet melted in our mouth and the shrimp were huge. Wonderful service!
Very nice restaurant with beautiful views in the woods. Food was fantastic and service was good for being understaffed.
Lacks ambience, cold uninviting atmosphere. Extremely over-priced. Small portions, food quality mediocre. I’ll not return. Steaks overly seasoned with meat tenderizer. 3 tiny pieces of over-cooked fish for $15. $10 glass of wine. Bad experience for my party of 8 - never going back.
J.J. was a great server and the food was amazing! This was a wonderful way for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Fries were cold. Not many ingredients in my shrimp tacos.
We had reservations at 6, and waited 15 minutes for someone to greet us...and the place was basically empty. From the time we were seated until we received our meal was an hour. It was unbelievably slow, and the food was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't wonderful either. It was expensive and not worth the price. Won't ever go back.
We really enjoyed the ambiance and food presented. Walking the grounds afterwards was a seller on the whole experience. The waitress was super nice and friendly. We really treasured our experience.
Worst meal ever. Would not recommend getting the chicken Oscar. Half raw chicken and the crab was straight from a can. The hollandaise sauce was greasy and separating. My friend got the same dish. Her chicken was over cooked, same crab from a can and separating sauce. Waitress was attentive. Cannot blame her for lousy food.
Meh food, but friendly service
Convenient. On property and closest dining experience for 5-10 miles at least. Food was okay. We had the Cauliflower appetizer and it was delicious. The food was good -- Chicken Milanese, Salmon and the House Salad was fine. Service was adequate, not much personality, attentive but not warm or additive in any way to the experience.
Excellent food, exceptional meal. Great server and wonderful dining experience !
Very nice menu and service. Our server was just right. Great food. Try the chocolate torte and the French press coffee for dessert!
Can’t say enough good about The Copper Mug. I had salmon. It was fantastic! Side were the broccoliets and carrots. Yummy! It was delicious. My husband ordered steak and shrimp. The steak was as tender as a butter sandwich and the shrimp were HUGE and very good. We both agreed it was even better than the Golden Lamb in Lebanon, Ohio!
My husband and I went with two other couples and we all enjoyed our meals. The cauliflower wings were excellent. The tuna poke appetizer was good but the shell tasted a bit burnt. The French onion soup was quite tasty as were the salads and sides everyone had. For entrees we had the fillet and shrimp(the shrimp were huge and delicious), the short ribs, and the ribeye. The steaks were all cooked well. The portions were very generous, so we had no room to try dessert. We ate inside because they were full outside. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you want a more upscale meal while enjoying the activities around the Mohican River.
Great food and service. The restaurant was just as you would expect from a bar and grill but the food took it to a new level.
Very friendly and accommodating to us with our 9 month old.
Great food, service and ambiance! Will be back soon!
We were celebrating our 56th wedding anniversary and really we couldn't have chosen a better place!! The food and service were excellent,
Hand cut fries were the hit for me, even though small serving for the price. Burger was very good. Oh and the new york cheesecake was amazing!! Waitress was slow on service.
Completely beautiful the landscape everything was so very well maintained the staff was extremely polite and helpful and the food was excellent
Locally sourced options
Worth the price tag
Let the servers wear shorts or short sleeves in the summer
It was hot! Otherwise so great there
Had 7:30 res, told waitress we had a 9pm tour and she said not to worry we will have plenty of time. So we ordered food and drinks by 7:40 and then waited far too long for the entrees. At 8:54 our food was delivered so we had to ask for to go boxes! We got out the door in 4 minutes with our entire meal in a bag. No napkins or utensils. At 10:30 after the tour we had the delicious food… cold, without utensils.
Food was amazing and our server had us laughing for hours! It was a wonderful experience.
