Although we liked it a lot and had no trouble getting seated, the reservation we made through Open Table couldn't be found.

Be aware they serve no alcohol (except beer) on Sundays. We were looking forward to their trademark Moscow Mule but could not partake. The local draft beer offering was served flat. One entrée was extremely cold, an under-done fillet that likely sat in the window while my lady’s braised short ribs were being prepared. Our brussels sprout appetizer was saturated with a pungent sauce. Nice setting but overall the food and service were hugely disappointing.

Lovely setting, we sat on the deck. The vegetable burgers were excellent and homemade. While there was only the two of us and 1 woman by herself eating the service was slow and the waiter was nice but not friendly or engaging. He served our food but had to wait for our silverware and napkins. We were there at 2:00 in the afternoon on a Thursday before Memorial Day and the place was not busy at all. The Tour was wonderful, informative and the young man that took us was outgoing, charming and engaging. I think the waiter needs a little more training on hospitality although I had a feeling he was shy.

Dinner the worst delmonaco steak I ever had. More fat than meat. Had to send wife’s back as was under cooked. Watress forgot my salad. Although they didn’ Charge me for it.
Breakfast, toast was hard as a brick, eggs were over cooked. Wife’s pancakes she liked. Not a good experience. Blueberry jelly was best ever had.

If your pivotal advertisement is going to be that Gordon Ramsay showcased your world class menu, then you better deliver and you failed to do that. You may even want to invite him back. We arrived early for our reservation and the hostess seemed rushed to seat us. I explained to her that I knew we were early and we were not in a hurry. We reviewed the drink menu at the bar and were seated shortly thereafter. A waitress came over and introduced herself and took our drink orders. The mixed drinks were terrible and sent back for beers and we then seemed to have a mix of three waitresses. The service was prompt, but impersonal and hurried. When the food came out, the presentation was decent, but nothing to write home about. Portion sizes were sufficient, but the food lacked world class taste. The Delmonico tasted like it was cooked on a flat iron grill or a pan, the sprouts were bland, the Walleye was unremarkable the only good things I heard from our party of six was the horseradish mashed were amazing and the salmon was good. Save your time with the zucchini chips, they are not worth the price, but the sauce was great. I drove 3 hours to meet my family that drove 2 hours to meet me. I thought we were at the best place in the area, but could not have been more disappointed. The atmosphere was lacking, the food was below average for the price and the service was mediocre. I wasn't expecting The Capital Grille, but I was hoping at least for better than Applebee's. It seems as though this place is geared more towards weddings and large groups. The walk to the restaurant was confusing, we were walking through a wedding party, in which I heard someone say, "Who are these people?" Not to mention, having to walk through people smoking cigars on the patio, I am pretty sure they weren't 30 feet from the entrance, a serious concern when you have two asthmatics with you. Nice website and great advertisement, but I would not return.

The food is so great. Everything we had was amazing. We went for lunch and dinner. Our server seemed a little distracted, the wrong food was brought to our table both times we dined there but we got the right food and everything tasted GREAT. the goat cheese crostinis (appetizer) were a 10/10. Can’t wait to go back!

Have been here for lunch before and it was outstanding! So my family and I were excited to come again, this time for dinner. However, our experience was less than ideal. Our waitress was phenomenal- the best part of the whole thing. We arrived during happy hour so got a few appetizers, but they were just as expensive as a regular meal. They were good, but definitely NOT happy hour priced. It was St. Patrick's day so we thought there would be at least one Irish dish, but unfortunately no. None of us really enjoyed our dinner meals, or cared to finish them, which was unfortunate for how much we spent on them (20-30$ per plate). Then a huge crowd came in (I think they were there for the St. Patrick's murder mystery) and our waitress suddenly had to act as greeter, waitress, bartender, and she was helping prepare plates in the back on top of all of this. I don't know how she managed it (she did great, despite how much unnecessary work she was trying to juggle). Would think they would have been MUCh better staffed and more ready for the sudden crowd of people- especially knowing about the event, and it being St. Patrick's day when people like to come in and drink... At least 20 people were trying to fit in at the bar, but since the bar is really only built for about 5, they were all crowding around the front door and in between dinner tables as well, which just made it awkward for them and all of us who were sitting at the dinner tables trying to enjoy a meal. Overall, this was not a good experience and if it had been our first we wouldn't come back. Instead, I'd say just go for lunch. Better food, better staffed, better prices.

Everything was great, food tasted wonderful, great atmosphere & service, loved that venison was on the menu since wild game was popular in castles & sets this restaurant apart from others that don't serve venison. The only thing I would recommend is make the drink prices a couple dollars cheaper. Other wise everything was great. Love that there was entertainment on Sat. night.

We were staying in the Thane Cottage and had a 7:00 dinner reservation. We walked over to check the restaurant out and grab a quick drink around 5- planning to go back to the cottage, get a little more dressed up, and come back for dinner. Well, we never left! We had great drinks and loved the atmosphere. There was a really good guitar player/singer who started performing and we just lost track of time talking at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and told us we could eat at any time since there were a few open tables. We ended up just eating at the bar- enjoying the stuffed mushrooms, steaks, (I had the filet, he had the delmonico), and sides, as well as dessert and more drinks! It wasn’t overly quiet but the music fit the setting and we were able to talk the whole night- we stayed for over 3 hours! There were people a little more dressed up but we didn’t feel at all out of place in our sweatshirts and jeans! We loved our meal and experience at the castle and the restaurant! And breakfast the next morning was delicious as well! We would definitely love to come back!

Took my husband & daughter to dinner spur of the moment to celebrate her moving. It was super easy to make a reservation. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was attentive & funny. My husband LOVED the walleye! I split my daughters meal with her. Amazing mashed potatoes. Will be bringing family from out of town in when they visit in the spring!

This was our first time dining here. The food was fantastic. First up was dinner rolls with homemade blueberry jam. Appetizer was stuffed mushrooms, these were delicious. For our meal we ordered the special roasted sirloin share meal. Steak was cooked to perfection. The amount of food was perfect. We will definitely be back again. The only improvement we would like to see is with the parking area. There is not enough lighting to safely walk back to the car. It was a very dark evening without moonlight to help guide the way.
