The Copper Clam is a seafood, shellfish & steak restaurant located on Brighton beach in the famous historic Arches. Enjoy your meal with stunning sea views from the upstairs dining room and sheltered patio if alfresco is your choice. We specialise in fine fresh seafood served in a relaxed environment, with an extensive selection of beers, wines & spirits.
We have a private dining area and cater for large groups and parties.

I have dined here at least 6 times. I have always found the food standard to be exceptional in both quality and delivery. The staff are really warm and accommodating and the location is ideal . I would not hesitate to recommend The Copper Clam to anyone.

Really happy to find this place on the beachfront. Great service, food & ambiance. Do try the Monkfish, with mango sorbet (yes, really). Highly recommend.

Beautiful food, good service, great location. Sadly the sun wasn’t shining when we went but imagine it could only enhance the experience if it was. Definitely recommend for great food right on the seafront.

Have been going to the Copper clam for many years but yesterday will be the last. The menu has been heavily reduced, team on site has changed and servers are less professional and the cooking standard have dropped. The starter of ceviche was blend. The mains arrived as the starters plates had not been removed, leading to a waiter laughing whilst we were struggling moving plates around. The sea platter for one was not as nice as in past and many items were cooked instead of fresh eg prawns. The special of the day (Seabream) was poorly cooked. Overall not worth the £150 for 2 spend. There are many amazing places to eat in Brighton. The Copper Clam is no longer one of them

Once a year we have a girlie lunch at the Copper Clam, 2 of us from London, one from Worthing. We always return as it's just superb in every way. Immediate attention with iced water and lemon, and continued wonderful service. Interesting and delicious menu and fairly priced. And all overlooking the sea in a not quite so busy location. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Thinking we might have to make it at least twice a year !

Some superb and unusual Food. Friendly and informal staff. Outside is a great place to "people watch" I thought it was very good value, considering the quality of the food

This was a lastmin booking to make the most of the sunshine we had at the weekend. Had a lovely table outside. The service was great, seafood platter was amazing - accompanied by refreshing white wine! Unfortunately the setting was ruined a bit by this being the hottest and busiest weekend in Brighton so it was very crowded with groups walking past - also enjoying the beach…and we were a couple of metres away from big overflowing bins. This can’t be helped and it was our choice to sit outside - so don’t let this out you off but maybe request to be closer the restaurant if you sit outside on a very sunny busy weekend! Thanks for looking after us - the manager kindly had a chat with us too!

Joe and the staff were superb! Me and my partner had an amazing time with delicious food. He was so welcoming for the start and showed fantastic hospitality throughout. We don’t get to see such service these days! Highly recommend.
