At The CookHouse Herne Bay - we are passionate about food and service.

Here at the CookHouse Herne Bay we work with many local producers and suppliers to bring you the very best food to your plate so your meal is enjoyed and leaves you wanting more.

Our front of house staff are keen to ensure your meal and service goes beyond your expectations.

Our menu strives to offer a range of food from succulent steaks, fresh fish, farm produced gourmet beef burgers including gluten free and vegetarian options all freshly cooked by our chefs.
The CookHouse Herne Bay is located right next to the Pier in Herne Bay, overlooking the sea so we have a full range of seafood platters and seafood to eat in or take away.
We hand pick our meat, fish and grocery daily, all is then prepared in our kitchen by our team of dedicated chefs. We serve great food not fast food, as every meal is cooked to order and seen by the Head Chef before leaving the kitchen.

On a busy mother's Day , the manager and staff were very helpful and caring. Fab food, nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend to friends and definitely go again.

Great position with lovely sea views. A large enough menu and well cooked and presented. Waiters can make or break a restaurant, and you have a superb one in Luke. Friendly and attentive and he ensured we all enjoyed our lunch experience.

A bit disappointed. We knew this in it's previous incarnation of Le Petit Poisson which was fine. We sat outside on a warm day and that was good. Unfortunately our calamari starter was pretty stodgy. The dressed crab we had was average and the side salads with both looked a bit forlorn. No dressing supplied and lettuce was dirty. Service also average - it was quite busy. Will not return.

The food was very good but we were disappointed that we couldn't have a drink as there was an issue with their licence and as it was a birthday lunch it would have been great to celebrate with a glass of something chilled.

Had a lovely meal there.Nicely presented.Went with our seven year old granddaughter and her meal was very good value.It was a warm evening and we sat outside.Staff were very pleasant.

I was giving the benefit of doubt as the last time I visited this restaurant the standards had dropped but truly upset to find there was no change if not worse. Such a shame as it is a fabulous location and used to love dining there. My starter was nothing terribly exciting to look at and after being told there was no moules for my main but then conviently there was some, but after they were served to me makes me wonder where they did actually appear from. I would say 75% of them were totally over cooked as all shrivelled up inside. Although the two young girls were polite I didn’t exactly enjoy hearing them talking about the trashy programme on tv called love island.

Lovely menu and delicious food. The only disappointment was that they had run out of the fish and chips but the beef burgers and beetroot and goats cheese burger were great.

We had a wonderful breakfast here and thought we would come back with friends for an evening meal. Sadly, it was really disappointing as we had to send back two dishes as the food was off. It’s a wonderful setting but I don’t think we’ll be back.

Been here twice now once with a friend and again with my partner, both times was very good, the staff the food and the ambiance, in the winter you couldn’t sit outside of course so will go again then
