   I went for my birthday, but they had half of the restaurant reserved for a private event. While I am an Event Planner myself (Director, Meetings & Events for over 25 years), I've never experienced so much rudeness from wait staff. The food was ok, the ambience was really nice, the noise level was perfect, it's just the rush rush from the wait staff that left a bad taste with me. My server Denham was the BEST and he did his best to accommodate my table.

   From the moment I walked through the doors of The Continent DC, I felt an immediate shift—the ambiance, the music, the energy—it was as if the atmosphere had been intentionally prepared for my arrival. The vibe was elevated, soulful, and magnetic, and my server, Elizabeth, was nothing short of divine. Her presence, warmth, and attentiveness made the experience even more special. Every bite of food was a sacred experience. The flavors were rich, layered, and deeply soulful—as if each dish had been kissed by the ancestors themselves. It wasn’t just a meal; it was a spiritual homecoming. I felt wrapped in comfort, celebration, and high vibration, as if the ancestors were right there, honoring my Solar Return with me. And just when I thought the night couldn’t get any more magical, the complimentary birthday cake and heartfelt wishes brought tears to my eyes. That small but powerful gesture made my night unforgettable. The Continent DC isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. A sacred vibe. A place of joy, soul, and ancestral reverence.    Had reservations for 7 o’clock on a Saturday Went to order the Casassa leaf and was told it was an hour wait. They were still cooking it. Said they were out because the were busy. Makes no sense, it’s only 7pm. if Saturday is a busy night, why not prepared for that? Bad business. I don’t want to come to an African restaurant and get American food, defeats the purpose. Will not be coming back.

   Noise level quiet because we went on a Wednesday. I wish I was a millionaire I would eat there 3 times a week. One of the most special meal experiences of my life. Delicious food. The beef was the best thing ever.

   Awesome! Beautiful restaurant, food was great and the service was really good. It might be because I came on a Sunday afternoon but everything was great. Definitely will be back.

   Our overall experience was pretty good. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Please be mindful of the dress code or you could encounter some issues at the door. I saw a couple of people turned away due to their attire. The margarita was sweet but good. The red snapper was smaller than I’m used and didn’t have much flavor. The sauce provided on the side was very much needed. Great service beginning to end. I would return but try a different entree.

    Everything was good but our waitress, Cierra, was absolutely amazing!! If you ever dine here I suggest asking if you can get her. She really made the experience even better!! The lamb chops were thick, juicy, and seasoned well. The Lagos was delicious and the Moroccan Sour is a must!!
