The Constitution Bar serves bistro style food in Edinburgh’s historic Leith area. Its location at 48-52 Constitution Street is within 10 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh Playhouse, Palace of Holyroodhouse and Waverley station. Also, less than a quarter of an hour’s stroll from its place will take one to Water of Leith, Ocean Terminal and Leith Links. The elegantly decorated expansive interior provides a comfortable space for a memorable dining experience. Regular live music and a giant TV screen telecasting latest sporting events help to keep the guests firmly entertained. The Constitution Bar’s menu is dominated by an assortment of sumptuous grilled recipes. Tasty gourmet burgers can be enjoyed with the restaurant’s special cocktail, beer or wine. A vegetarian variety of the same is also available along with salads and a wholesome vegetarian platter. Those in a bit of hurry can enjoy the express lunch offered by the restaurant. How was the Constitution??? Since they had "no record" of our booking and in charge was a barman with a very bad attitude who knew "nothing about open table" I think its fair to say the Constitution was not very good!! After much debate we were eventually offered a drink on the house and to sit and see if any table became available (This in a restaurant with 4 empty tables - 3 of which remained that way the whole time we were in but the explanation was that all 3 tables had been booked, the customers had just failed to turn up!!) I was so unahppy they wouldnt admit to having our booking, I wasn't keen on staying, but my partner wished to, so we did but will not be back.
