Expensive, but worth it. Be sure to have your valet parking claim ticket validated, otherwise you must pay astronomical cost.

Overall service experience from the moment we were greeted by hostess (not welcoming), waitress (hardly there), food delivery girl (terrible attitude), etc. was NOT good!

Ritz need to strengthen service training.

It is a beautiful setting looking out over the activities of the hotel, the ocean, the green for the 18th hole of the north golf course. Service was over the top excellent by our waiter Dana who made us feel very special on our 54th wedding anniversary. The menu for lunch was short but excellent with a smoked and thinly sliced duck breast as an appetizer and a fruity including shavings of orange peel which I have never seen or tasted before. I had a terrific chiopino with a wonderfully thick tomato broth, my wife had meatballs with terrific homemade pasta -- some of which I stole to put in my chiopino. Fabulous combination! We shared a wonderful bottle of Champange but we needed a glass of red wine to finish our meal. Our waiter made a perfect recommendation. We had a wonderful day!

Serene & tranquil setting with ocean view is the main attraction here. Food very good, but over-priced.
Our waitperson, Cameron was friendly, efficient and courteous.

Great service. Excellent food. Too many tables too close together. Sat at table for 2 that barely fit food and drinks and could easily tip over.

Everything was nice but there was an obnoxiously loud group by the bar that made it unbearable to sit and hold conversation or enjoy your dinner peacefully.

Great service, food and venue; Slight down was that I had sent a note with the reservation about the fact that it was a birthday celebration and that I wanted to arrange for a gluten-free cake, but no one ever followed-up.

To celebrate my birthday, we stayed at the Ritz for two nights. We ate dinner at the Conservatory both nights. The flatbread is delicious, enough to share. I loved the diver scallops and my husband enjoyed the cioppino. The second night we again had the flatbread but then had the chicken and a steak. The food was excellent. We enjoyed a table right by the window so we could see the ocean and the beautiful lawn greens.
Our server both nights was a woman named Amy. She was so attentive. I have a black pepper allergy so she checked with the chef on the food I ordered to be sure there was no pepper. At the end of our 2nd dinner, she and Vanessa, the Food & Beverage manager came to our table to wish me a happy birthday and offered us dessert on the house.

Food, service and ambience were lovely. The $40 parking fee put a little bit of a damper on the overall experience since the restaurant is already up there price-wise but it was appropriately priced for what you get and the location.

Unusual for the Ritz Carlton, the fish sandwich was over seasoned and nearly tasteless without that seasoning.
Server was not very attentive.

We've never once been disappointed by the Ritz-Carlton's chefs. The cuisine is French-Californian, and delicious, as usual. Their gluten-free awareness and availability was excellent, also. Small things like iced tea mango flavoring (without being sweet, which was a plus for me) and the superior appetizer quality (which included a sumptuous roasted-caper aioli) drew marks of appreciation. Even their desserts were great. The informal atmosphere with a wonderful view of beautiful blue Half-Moon Bay (it was sunny, thankfully) was perfect for our anniversary lunch. We've met friends there as well since it's a perfect midpoint destination between Santa Cruz and San Francisco.

We took my parents to lunch in honor of my Dad's 100th birthday in late March. The restaurant had balloons and a nice floral arrangement on the table, and we were given complimentary glasses of good champagne. A very nice setting for a special occasion.

Visited for a business lunch. The power was out in Half Moon Bay so the lunch menu was very limited. Not their fault, and the clam chowder was delicious. It's $20 to have the valet park your car and they do not offer validation. Had to wait 20 minutes at the front desk for them to run my card, and then they charged me $39 for parking, emailed an invoice for $20. It's still a great venue, and the staff is phenomenal, but I will pick somewhere else for a business lunch in the future.

Absolutely phenomenal. Have dined at the Conservatory on several occasions and never fails to disappoint. The cuisine was amazing and service impeccable. Celebrated twin daughters’ 21st birthday; worked with hotel for a few “additional touch” items and they went even above and beyond expectations.

The restaurant is open to the lobby and common seating areas of the hotel so it feels very informal. Server was friendly but seemed inexperienced. She spilled a bit of wine while pouring it and tried to wipe it up off the table with her finger. The wild mushroom side dish and seasoned bread were amazing. Roasted chicken was good, but nothing special, though it was served with a bit of seared foie gras which was delicious. We knew the restaurant would be expensive but the very open and informal ambience didn't seem to match up with the prices. There is no self parking even though there is a large parking structure right there. It is only open for free parking during the day (required by law for beach access). $20 Valet parking is mandatory, no validation for diners. We took advantage of the fire pits outside and sat for awhile listening to the ocean waves, blankets were on the chairs. For the money, there are better restaurants on the coast with the same beautiful view.

The burger was great. The crab dip was tasty but a little dry. The cod sandwich was okay bit could be spectacular. Fish a little dry and maybe not enough condiments? But the experience is fabulous and service great.

Warning: review is for the restaurant AND overall Ritz experience. Restaurant space was lovely, good food, great service. Our server was great and the Chef came out to say hello, which is always lovely. The salmon quinoa was very good and my husband loved his cioppino. That said, for the price and the name I did expect a little more. The floor near the window was pretty gross with lots of crumbs and food between the carpet and window molding. This will sound a bit petty but fake plants...never ok for a Ritz Carlton or the like. Walking around on the grounds was lovely as you cannot beat the ocean views but none of the fire pits were on and it was a cold day. The walkway up the hill was in bad shape and a hazard. I guess I just expect a bit more given it is a Ritz Carlton. Overall I will definitely be back and their brunch is really to die for.

One of the nicest dinner experiences. Great view at night with a nice Christmas tree in the distance. Excellent food. Celebrating a birthday that turned into an engagement celebration. Thanks to all the service staff for making it memorable. The Ritz Carlton is always perfect.

The view was fantastic and the food was very good (the cioppino was not as good as the branzino). Cocktails were a bit on the sweet side. Waiter was very attentive though he seemed a bit overbusy.
