Opened in 2019 and gaining 2AA Rosettes for culinary and service excellence in it's first year, it offers both traditional pub favorites and modern fine dining food in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Lovely pub. Seated quickly.Water brought to the table. Drinks order taken,followed by the meal order approximately 1 minute later.Within 1 minute of the food order the food arrived on the table.Slightly shocked but ideally would have preferred the drinks 1st but OK. Food nicely presented shame it was pretty much cold, drinks arrived about 10 minutes after with an apology. Desert was quite nice and hot!overall slightly disappointing.

We went here for Father’s Day dinner, the food itself was tasty however was served warm, the ‘roast’ potatoes were disappointing as they were hard and more like boiled potatoes, and there was not enough gravy. However, the atmosphere and service was good, think maybe it was just an off day due to the increased volumes of customers.

Ate dinner on both nights of our stay. Enough choice on the menu and food was very well presented and really tasty. Both tried the fish and chips and we also had the pie and Mediterranean Skewers. Would recommend all of the above. Good service, pleasant and helpful staff and very decent choice of wines, beers etc. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Large car par and despite North Somerset now charging for parking, it’s free for restaurant clientele. Just remember to key in your registration number inside the pub entrance. Friendly helpful and efficient staff. Delicious home cooked food beautifully presented . Choice on Lunch menu could be wider, including a more unusual dish. I’ve eaten here a number of times recently and it’s a reliably good place to eat. I thoroughly recommend.

Good food with a varied choice BUT we felt rushed. Coffee machine was switched off at 9pm. We would have all had a coffee at the end of our meal if available. Last orders at the bar at 9.30pm on a Friday night?!? I would recommend the food but wouldn’t come again personally as I prefer a more relaxed non rushed experience. The service was good but we felt they couldn’t wait for us to leave.

I was catching up with a friend and as us girls enjoy most of all, a good old natter, but sadly a large party came and sat down close by and spoilt our chance in doing this. I must say though, I quietly went and spoke to a member of staff who kindly moved us to a new table which helped us. As I have a hearing problem and was wearing hearing aids this loud tables noise did echo in the restaurant. None of the above spoilt our evening, because the food and staff were second to none, and my friend and I both had an enjoyable evening. Thank you for stepping up with the above mentioned with both kindness and understanding, it was most definitely appreciated.

One day we will come here and find everything on the menu. Once again items not available which is disappointing - never seem to get the same issue with sister restaurant in Cheddar. Never anyone around when we arrive and have to seek out staff to get seated, seems to be a shortage of staff generally. Would be nice if they engaged more with customers and smiled occasionally. Never much of an atmosphere here. Place was not busy but we waited quite a while for starters and even longer to get desserts. It could be a great place to eat as the food is good but needs some sort of impetus in it to make it buzz.

Amazing food in a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff were very tentative and helpful....I am definitely going back for more
