Love this place on most days however....

We made a reservation and were seated near the door with lots of commotion from people coming in an out not to mention the restaurant in general. If I go out of my way to make a reservation and say it’s to celebrate something I expect seating to be more in line with that.

Food orders were right however just warm not hot.

Service was slower than usual and drink refills not offered but once and we spent a good 1.5 hours there.

Food and Server were good, however making a reservation was a wash as multiple parties were seated before our set time.

I’d have liked to see more vegetarian options that are also gluten free. I loved the tomato soup but felt pretty limited otherwise. Great wine!

Lunch in the past was fine, however, dinner was bland at best. Cocktails were the smallest I’ve ever seen. Service was mediocre. And they automatically charge a 20% gratuity. Definitely was not worth what we paid. Was really disappointed as I was hopeful for a great experience.

We went there for a Sunday brunch and it was mediocre. I ordered the classic breakfast my scrambled egg was luke warm and bacon was tasteless. The only thing I like there was their Bloody Mary. I wouldn’t go there for brunch again, their dinner is better.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Please try the biscuits and gravy. The best I've had! Their chicken is clearly hand breaded and their sausage gravy is DIVINE. The coffee was a bit acidic for my tastes but it was still a great cafe au lait. The avocado toast was heavenly and the microgreens so crisp and fresh. Will be coming back soon! The noise level is a bit high due to concrete floors and open ceilings. You can hear your table partner fairly well.

This was our third time going here. Very cute spot but it can be very noisy and you are very close to your neighbors. Service is slow but Food was timed well. There is a mandatory 20% tip that always irks me, but oh well. Food was on the border of warm/cold and vegan burger and chicken sandwich had little to no flavor besides bun and patty/chicken. Shoestring fries and pretzel were very good! Probably won’t go back.

Here on vacation and decided to have dinner there and glad we did! Couldn’t believe they only got 3.5 stars on Yelp! The fish and chips were amazing, yes fish and chips sound pretty basic but they have Vodka batter! I had the lamb burger which, wow! Rarely do you see a different burger on the menu and this was so flavorful. The drinks were good as well! Try the Mezcal with carrot juice drink. Finished the night off with a Maple Bourbon Milkshake...yum.

The bad: Mandatory 20% gratuity calculated before tax. Worst service. There were 6 tables inside and 5 tables outside that were filled and at least 8 servers that I counted. Server didn’t check on us until the bill. They brought the check before my wife was done. Servers were just chatting behind the bar the entire time.

We made a reservation and they tried to seat us in an empty restaurant in the middle when nice window seats were open. Lacking in some common sense there. My water went empty and the food was bland.

The good: leaving and deciding to never come back. Service is the worst I’ve had in a long time.

Great drinks- especially the Bloody Mary. Chicken tenders are awesome. The lamb burger was over cooked, our server stopped by the table maybe twice, and the avocado toast needed more avocado. It was also quite loud.

An excellent spot for breakfast. Make sure and order their coffee cake. A bit loud but other than that a nice place to hang out for a quick bite for breakfast and or lunch. Be sure to make reservations if you don’t want to wait during prime times. They make a nice latte too.

We love The Commons, one of our favorite restaurants in the area ... we dine here every time we are in Woodinville, several times during each trip if we are lucky. The staff are fantastic, the food is fabulous, great to dine inside or outside, a wonderful experience. Mike is our favorite server, he is the best ...

We made reservations, and were seated promptly. Menu has very interesting options. It was very busy at a Sunday lunchtime - service was a little slow but professional and very pleasant. We all enjoyed the food - very much comfort food. It is a happening place - as such, it is very noisy, mostly because there is nothing to absorb the sound with the industrial design inside the restaurant. It is fun and energetic and we will be back.

We’ve been to The Commons often in the past but stopped coming because we felt the food was average and the price way too high. We decided to give it another try but felt the same. I love well done bacon, didn’t order it that way, but it was so overdone I could barely chew it. We were brought (and charged) extra food we didn’t order, and after mentioning how badly overlooked the bacon was, we were only told that they were sorry about that. We also tip well topically but do not like having a 20% tip added, especially when the food wasn’t great and far too expensive.

We were not impressed. We had reservations and arrived 7 minutes early. There were a ton of empty tables and the hostess said "You'll have to wait 10 minutes, you are too early." She then went ahead and seated people with no reservations.

They also charge 20%tip on all bills. There were 2 of us. Did not see that posted anywhere until the bill came.

Food was good but we felt very rushed. We ordered our drinks and appetizers first but even so it felt like dinner came out right on top of the appetizers. We ordered a second round of drinks and were brought the bill without being offered another round of drinks or desert. It feels like they are pushing people through.

We had an early dinner here before going to a concert at a nearby winery. Have been to The Commons many times before and the food and service were as good as usual. The only complaint on this visit was that the doors were open at both ends of the restaurant and no AC was evident even though it was over ninety degrees outside. Too warm for us. We will avoid The Commons in the summer from now on. We had reservations there for September which I cancelled today. We will find someplace to eat that allows us to do it in comfort.

I was headed out to Woodinville to pick up my wine and thought it would be nice to take my mom and daughter out to lunch. I choose The Commons because they serve breakfast in the afternoon on weekdays.
The restaurant's ambiance and style is farmhouse which I found very cute. Woodinville is a wine area with a mix of luxury and laid back restaurants. The Commons fits in as laid back. I had a reservation and was seated right away. Water was served right away and the waitress returned promptly to take our order. Make sure you read the menu carefully because there are several items that are served before or after certain hours. My mom was disappointed she wasn't able to have the lamb meatballs since they aren't served until after 4pm. In its place she had the egg & ham sandwich. She found it to be ordinary and was surprised it didn't come with any side. It did look pretty lonley on the dish. I had eggs, sourdough bread, bacon, and potatoes which I replaced for shoesting fries, they were really good. I ended up giving half to my mom because her sandwich really was lacking potatoes of some sort. The eggs were good, the bread was over toasted and barely had a dab of butter on it. I requested the bacon be extra crispy and that they did perfectly. the dish came with I think was blackberry jam and ketchup. A side of butter should be provided too.
My daughter had the avocado toast, her bread too was a bit over toasted, but overall the dish was good.
Honestly, their dinner items don't seem much more than lunch items so I would suggest their full menu be available all day.
I was hoping to order a cinnamon roll, but they were all out.
In the end I wasn't impressed with the food, but it was fine for a quick bite.
They did have what sounded like some tasty cocktails. I was driving so opt out on having one.
I would visit the restaurant agian when in the area, but would not travel to Woodinville just for it.

Enjoy your emal from one foodie to another!

Normally we don’t experience this, so I am hoping it was an off night. Our waiter was not attentive at all. They recently added automatic 20% tip and this makes me wonder if this is why the service went down. Our brussel sprouts were undercooked, but the rest of the meal was good. I had the BLTA and my son the chicken. I would like to add that the manager, or I assume it was the manager, took the small plate off our bill and brought us two caramels. I will still go back as I have normally had better service.

We had three couples in our group who went to The Commons for dinner. The food was fine and our waiter was nice. Our only issue was that they automatically added a 20% tip to each of our bills without telling us. Now, I don't have a problem that they did that since there were 6 in our group, what I didn't like that they didn't tell us. It leaves the customer with the impression that they're hoping you don't notice and then add another 18%-20%. We've been to restaurants where the tip was automatically added but they also removed the tip line on the charge card receipt where you normally add the tip. This is a little better, but still takes away from the customer being able to tip based on their experience in the restaurant.

My fiancé and I went there for brunch recently and the service left a lot to be desired. It took a long time just to get our water glasses filled when we were initially seated. Then the restaurant sold out of ALL of their pastries and it was only 10:30am. It took an hour to get our food once we finally ordered, and another 20 minutes for the waitress to notice that both my water glass and coffee mugs were empty. The “house made” chorizo was terrible and our meals were lukewarm when they were delivered. Our food had been sitting on the window for a while along with several other orders. The staff showed no hustle trying to get diners their food while it was hot. Disappointing!

The Commons is a busy breakfast and lunch spot with an ace bakery. I do recommend booking a table. The line to wait on the day is long. It's an idea location next to a group of fab wine tasting rooms. The noise in this place can be crazy. The acoustics are quite bouncy.

Went with some friends for a fun girls night out - Jonathan was our server. Two of my friends ordered a burger, and the other ordered the tacos. I got the chicken and dumplings. I’ve been to the commons many times, but had never ordered them before. I can honestly say that they are the worst thing you could order from the Commons! I ended up ordering a burger instead (which I never do, I always eat what I ordered). Jonathan brought it out rapidly, and even took the chicken and dumplings off of our bill! The burger was FANTASTIC!!! I HIGHLY recommend the Commons - but I would stay away from the chicken a dumplings. :)
