    The food was great. I may come back just for the chocolate ganache! My absolute new favorite. Just as great, our waiter was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations and small conversation.

    The food was delicious! I had the salmon and broccoli…portion was small, but nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. The appetizer was yummy … however, I can’t remember the name of it😔. We were quickly seated and the service was excellent. Our server was polite, professional and was really kind. I absolutely will go back and bring more friends! Sorry, no photos because as soon as the plate was set in front of me…I immediately started eating! Photographing was not even though about … until my food was consumed.

    Ben was our server and he was the best! From the suggestions for dinner (delicious), he was friendly, kind, and thoughtful. He helped to make my boyfriend's birthday just a little more special.

    Pre theatre dinner Great food had the Burger and fries mock tails were refreshing. Service was great overall great experience Make sure you have a reservation because we were not able to have breakfast there the following morning because we didn’t have them for that meal We will know better the next time

    Another fantastic experience at the Commoner! We were celebrating my friend’s birthday and were welcomed by a small sign and a few goodies. Our server, whose name I cannot remember, was excellent as well. We were slightly disappointed to see a much smaller brunch menu than usual - favorites such as the brunch burger and bagel and lox were missing. My only “complaint” is that the glassware had a strong, musty, “dirty dishwasher” smell to them, similar to wet dog. It made drinking from them unpleasant as the smell was pretty strong and unappetizing. We thought about saying something, but every glass we used had the same odor. Other than this issue, we had a great time.

    We had horrible service. I brought clients to the commoner for a business meetings and was embarrassed by the lack of attention from waiter and staff.

    Very nice place with reasonable pricing. The cocktail, Beer & wine list are thoughtful. The only knock is the signature dish, the Hamburger (amazing, by the way), the french fries that came with it were unreasonably salty. The same with the Crispy potato dish(Which was underwhelming) was also over-salted. The pork belly was stellar, and the caesar salad was top-notch as well.

    The Commoner Burger is the best burger in Pittsburgh, in my humble opinion. I’ve had breakfast there before. It was very good. The Commoner is a great place to stop for a bite to eat before a Penguin game

    The Commoner is a great place because the food, atmosphere and service are e cellent. We've eaten there many times prior to a play or Penguin game. And the Commoner burger...if there's a better burger anywhere I'd like to try it.

    I was surprised by the Beet Salad because it contained a lot of nuts and granola. All of the food was good. The Buttermilk Panna Cotta was exceptional.

    We picked the commoner for our family dinner. Our main dishes were all so tasty and rich of flavours. We ordered the Commoner burger, short rib bolognaise, fillet mignon and Salmon. Everything was so good. We will definitely go back.

    My wife and I visit The Commoner a couple of times each year. It is one of the restaurants we count on for the rare mix of excellent service, delicious food, the right amount of atmosphere, and reasonable prices. The drinks are always well-made, as is the food.

    My wife and I stay at the Monaco a couple of nights each year. The Commoner has served us dozens of meals over the last couple of years, and never failed to delight. The cocktails are delicious quaffs, and the food satisfying at a physical level.
