   It was our 39 th wedding anniversary And we really enjoyed our dinner at the Common Stove Its our 2 nd time dining there and we will be back Food and service are top notch

   Had a great meal before a concert at the near by Orillia Opera House. All aspects of the meal from the appetizers to the mains were very good. Will definitely be back next time we're in Orillia for a show!

   I cannot say enough about this place. Food, service and ambiance are all top notch. The steak is absolutely incredible as they cook it over an open fire. The service staff are a true team, helping each other to ensure each table gets a lot of attention. Highly recommend visiting. You will not regret it.

   We had another outstanding meal at The Common Stove. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The rib eye was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of rich, smoky flavor. It was truly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. My wife couldn’t stop raving about the bone marrow; it was decadent, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the ambiance added a warm, inviting touch to the evening. Every visit to The Common Stove reminds us why it’s one of our favorite spots. We’re already looking forward to our next meal.

   We had a wonderful evening. The food, as usual, was divine. We were 4 women celebrating our friend’s upcoming wedding. Our server was such a great guy. We started with the roasted cauliflower to share. Then we shared a ribeye which was enough meat for four. It was seared perfectly. We shared the carrots, mushrooms, and fries-all delicious. Sticky toffee pudding with a fireworks candle to top off the celebration. The evening was perfect!

   Over the past two years, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed dining at both The Common Stove and Picnic. We typically visit as a couple and always look forward to the exceptional cuts of beef at The Common Stove—expertly prepared over a wood-fired grill. Last night, we brought a guest to the Sunday seating to try the special Roast Beef dinner, and it did not disappoint. Served medium rare, the roast was tender and flavorful, accompanied by a beautifully puffed Yorkshire pudding reminiscent of a soufflé. The dish was rounded out with heirloom carrots, a touch of horseradish, and rich jus. Every element was delicious, and the meal was perfectly balanced. We ended the night with sticky toffee pudding. Devine.

   The atmosphere was really nice, and the service was very good. Surprisingly, the best dish we had was the grilled carrots in homemade pistachio pesto. They were hands down the best carrots I’ve ever had. Would love to see a couple more vegetarian dinner options to the menu, not just appetizers.

    First time dining there. It will not be our last. I had the little filet and it was the best steak I have ever had at a restaurant! The carrots were amazing, too, and a very generous portion. The service was attentive but not to the point where it was intrusive. Love the decor.
