The Commodore in Helensburgh is a country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

The Commodore is close to a host of interesting attractions The Hill House in Helensburgh. is Charles Rennie Mackintosh's finest domestic creation. Dumbarton Castle is about a 10 minutes away with a recorded history as a stronghold, which is longer than any other fortification in Britain. Finally Loch Lomond Shores is equally near and is Scotland's most spectacular visitor destination combining a beautiful environment with a mixture of leisure and shopping experiences overlooking Loch Lomond.

Our charming inn is just off the esplanade and the banks of the majestic Gare Loch and has great views of the Firth of Clyde. We're popular with day trippers, walkers, golfers, fishermen and seafarers.
