   We had a great table at a window with an excellent lake view. Excellent Riesling with dinner. Food and service was outstanding. All the servers were attentive and pleasant. Adam was very knowledgeable about menu items. Look forward to returning!

   Overall, the Commodore was a good restaurant experience. Food was good. With the 3 course menu the only option it is a little pricey for a burger or bLT or breakfast options. Service was very good . However, the coffee was horrible. It was weak and tasted like a coffee filter. For such a “fine” dining experience you would think , with all the local coffee roasting businesses, that it would apply the same attention to the 3 course food menu to the selection/brewing of coffee . Also the jelly packets were subpar for a fine dining experience. Use single serving jelly jars.

   Way overpriced for the quality of the dining experience. Overall, portions were very small anything that included seafood. The Crab Louis Salad is marked as a meal and it was definitely the size of a side salad with a few pieces of seafood. The Weiner Schnitzel was decimated and then fried. So they relied more on the frying process, then the quality of the veal. I do not need to go back.

   Highly recommend The Commodore. The Bartolotta family name featured prominently on this restaurant says it all. It is flag-ship worthy. From its appointments, decorations, bar, and mostly the food... it is well worth dining here.

   We've been to the Commodore after its remodel once and it was nice but not amazing. Last night's dinner was AMAZING. Their Friday fish fry was magical with perch, walleye, and one other fish with light, flavorful breading and surprisingly good fries. We also loved the Captain's Cup cocktail and the home made cookies and cream ice cream. For sides, we had the morel mushrooms they had on special and the cauliflower au gratin, which were delicious together. Plus it was our anniversary and they sent out free sparkling wine, and desert to help celebrate. The wait staff was friendly and timely, and we went home stuffed. Five star dinner all around!

   We have been there twice, both experiences were outstanding. The venue overall is amazing, we can’t wait to sit on the patio and enjoy appetizers and a nice summer cocktail overlooking the lake.
