Felt a bit rushed by wait staff. I was waiting for my husband and when he arrived, the waitress was over immediately asking for our orders. She wanted to remove plates when there was still food on them. Otherwise, the restaurant is wonderful.
This medium sized restaurant has a nice vibe without being overbearing. You can sit and chat with a friend or have a more formal meal...either way it is comfortable there and the food is good. Can't go wrong.
Love this place! Comfortable and delicious. Staff is warm and friendly. It’s a great neighborhood gem!
Great meal great service as always
Amazing service food was fantastical I will be back very soon
I took my 90 yr old mom for mothers day lunch. Everything was great-the food and wait staff couldn't have been better. She loved it as well. Everyone to a person was so NICE!! I will be back.
We loved The Collins! The ambiance was perfect, the service was friendly, and the food was delicious. My boyfriend says the rotisserie chicken there is the best he has ever had. The wild mushroom lasagna was a perfect portion as well. This is definitely a restaurant you want to try!
The service was fantastic. Start with the Noble Bread app- you won’t be disappointed!! The side dishes are meals in themselves- amazing! The charred cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, Mac-n-cheese... all to die for! Skip the spaghetti squash side. The Heights Chicken entree was awesome! The mushroom lasagna was underwhelming- practically no mushrooms. Good cocktails and green iced tea! Definitely going on our favorites list!!
The waiter Eric was knowledgeable, courteous and attentive. Food was fresh and delicious. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend this place to all my friends!
Friendly, efficient staff. Good food and good drinks. Seasonal menu is great as is there standard fare.
Moderate noise level - still able to easily have conversation with my dinner mates.
There were 7 of us. Women who get together first Wednesday every month. We sat in a large booth so we had privacy and the ability for all of us to engage in conversation. The service was excellent as was all of the food choices we made.
Excellent food, service, ambiance. Our servers were polite and knotabout the menu and restaurant just.
Loved it! Will be back :)
Good service; decent-size portions of tasty food; intolerably high noise level.
Great food and wonderful atmosphere! Great neighborhood spot!
I have to write a review as we (table of 4) all really enjoyed our meals! I especially loved the crab cake, full of crab not filler and tasty sauce! The roast beef dip sandwich is consistently great and rare like I like it! All in all it was a very good dining experience.
Always consistent, very good service and a varied menu. Cocktails are well prepared but pricey. Will always look forward to coming here.
We enjoyed our Easter lunch at The Collins. Only odd occurrence was when we arrived for our reservation, made a week ahead and specifically asking for seating outside. We even called ahead of the reservation that morning to let the restaurant know we had lost one in our party and to confirm the outdoor seating.
Hostess informed us upon arrival that the only table to accommodate our party outside was currently taken and we could either wait or sit inside. We asked about the other open tables outside and were told they were being held for reservations. We pointed our we had a reservation as well, but the hostess attitude was along the lines of our reservation didn't count as much as theirs.
We decided to wait for the table outside - the other party left about 20 minutes later - and our front of house at the table was excellent and personable and the food was great. Cocktails were great also. Just the hostess was the only issue.
Great restaurant! Service was great as was the food. We had a lot of fun.
We arrived 5 minutes before happy hour ended, but our waitress was on point and suggested we get our orders in quickly—the hh menu is pretty good (I highly recommend the NY strip and gruyere slider). For dinner we tried the Scottish salmon (excellent) and the cure 81 ham and gruyere omelet (good). The Caramelized cauliflower was really good too. Overall, a very good meal, outstanding service, and very reasonable prices.
Excellent experience as first timers. The food was on point; the service friendly and efficient. Management and staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. I look forward to going back again to try for lunch or dinner!
On a crowded Saturday night the food suffers slightly compared to the care it’s given at other times, however it is still delicious with fresh ingredients. Any dish with crab is my favorite, crab cake and greens, crab Mac n cheese etc. Cocktails and wines are also good. The variety has something for everyone.
Unfortunately the food did not have much taste or flavor. Great ambiance. Service ok.
This is the 3rd time within a few months that I have eaten in this restaurant and I have been delighted each time. Their Brussels sprouts are outstanding and we all enjoyed our lunch immensely. Our wait staff was excellent and we look forward to our next visit
Great cocktails and excellent service! Will return!
It was nice in the patio
The great food is to be expected, but what wasn't expected was the kindness of our server. We ordered a couple small plates and no drinks and spent all night having a conversation about a dying loved friend. Our server made it clear there was no rush and kept our water glasses filled. He was lovely and caring. Thank you!
Reservations for our anniversary dinner, and they tried to seat us in a tiny table jammed in a corner next to a large family. Their baby, in a car seat, was in one of our seats. There was nowhere to put it but on the floor next to our already crowded table. My wife said to leave. I asked for another table and was told all the tables were reserved. Most were empty. I asked about our reservation, and that it was supposed to be special. I got a who gives a damn shrug from both employees, and we left.
A bit disappointing. We’re regulars (at least once a week). Requested patio seating on the reservation a few days earlier. The restaurant didn’t hold a table for us so we got stuck inside. Also, got part of order wrong but they id recover quickly. Our waitress was very good.
Not much on the menu was appealing to our group. The burger was the best of our order.
Great food great service!
Birthday! Great brunch!
Really enjoyed Chris Collins “re-boot” of (formerly) Twisted Grove! Great staff, tasty food. We’ll be back!
Very interesting menu with plenty of options. Fast service. Water glass was always full. Highly recommend.
Thank you! Always appreciate the wonderful staff, service, and food!
Wonderful dinner with a sweet and helpful server. We were from out of town, but this would be a staple for me if I was local. Delish!
Absolutely delicious food!!!! Excellent service!!!
Food and service were great. Our waiter comped us a free appetizer and a free dessert because it was our first time there and he wanted us to try their specialties. I don’t think I’ve ever had that happen at a new restaurant before. I’m sure we’ll be back.
love the atmosphere, was worried when i thought Twisted Grove closed, but it is basically the same thing. The crab cakes are amazing. The french fries are the best. They were so nice to bring a newly debuted dessert. They need a better wine list. A new regular place. Reminds me of SF if was not in strip mall.
This is my first dinner at The Collins. I had initially been there 2 lunch. The food is outstanding at both lunch and dinner, and the staff is very pleasant and competent at both times. I plan to start going to The Collins for dinner more often since the experience was so pleasant. There are not many restaurants in the area that offer what The Collins offers for both lunch and dinner.
