Thought we’d give it a second chance.
Food mediocre both visits. There’s nothing special going on here. Two far better restaurants firstly across the street.
Server was inconsistent. Didn’t seem to want to be there.
Far too noisy for a meaningful conversation.
The atMosphere is great. The ribs are great. The onion soup was barely edible. All bread- little broth and very salty- for $10. I told the waiter and he did nothing. The Caesar salad was drenched in dressing. I would t order either of those again. The Brussels sprouts were great.
A friend suggested The Collins when they heard I would be staying at The Biltmore for a few days. Great recommendation! Try the onion dip as an appetizer and the noodle salad (with a touch of spice/heat) for an entree salad!
Was a great experience for my son and his friends for their homecoming dinner. Thank you for treating them well and making their evening special. You have a fabulous establishment.
Great Atmosphere. Great Food. Convenient Location and Awesome Service!
Always a good time here! The Collins always exceeds, service, food, drinks, and ambience! You have to get the brussels sprouts anytime you come in.
Staff is friendly and accommodating. Delicious food! It’s always fun at the Collins.
Great ambiance for our small group. The staff was attentive and the informative to our questions.
Drinks were okay seemed every cocktail had too much of something threw it off leis something. Brussel sprout app was great very balanced, soft roasted garlic yum! Dinner was goodisb had the chicken, squash and blistered tomatoes. Tomatoes could have been more “blistered” had hardly any color to them, squash was a throw away lotssss of squash not as many tomatoes. Dessert was delicious tres leches that was very tasty.
The best ever
I love this restaurant and i love the people who work here
Amazing food and service.
Our server was probably new. We received our appetizer after our entree. But overall it was great.
Our waiter was fantastic and overall service very good.
We arrived and checked in with the hostess. She promptly directed someone to take us back. Shortly after being seated, someone greeted us and took our drink and appetizer order.
I had the Wild Mushroom Lasagna w/ a herb salad and it was good. My partner had Salmon with Cauliflower. The Cauliflower was significantly undercooked. We have been here before and always enjoyed it. The staff has always been friendly and efficient. Our waitress was not very good. She seemed to have gotten annoyed when my wife told her she could not understand what she was saying when she was initially speaking to us most likely because she was wearing a mask. Clearly not our fault we could not understand her and my wife was very nice when indicating she could not understand what she was saying. After that our server was curt at best. Never asked us if our food was good, never checked on us, and we never saw her until after we finished. We ordered desert and coffee and it was the same, never asked us how our deserts were nor offered coffee refills. I had to stop a passing staff member to ask for more. The waitress came back and left the check without a word. I thought she was just busy or having a bad day, but when leaving I saw her standing in the bar area and she was chatting it up with another staff member, laughing and joking; also as we existed we walked right by her she looked at us and did not say a word - thanks for coming in or have a nice evening. Even if my wife ticked her off, it was a minor thing and she should have been professional to her customers. Overall the food was good and the rest of the staff was great. We will return, but if it is the same server I will just request another table or staff member.
Our favorite date night restaurant
Food was excellent. Service excellent.!! If I have a complaint it would be that the noise factor can be deafening - although we got there early enough last night and had no problem hearing one another. Every dish we had was outstanding - and hot!!!
We all had a great time and appreciated the thoughtful service and good food.
We love The Collins - right across the street from our home. It’s always our go to!
Amazing food. Great service. Fantabulous desserts.
The restaurant had a great atmosphere. Our service was impeccable and very attentive. We ordered the braised rib, risotto and brussel sprouts dish and it was delicious; it was a bit rich (a tad too much sauce). We had an amazing coconut cream pie for dessert. The outside space was also nice, though it was too warm that evening to sit outside. The bar area was spaced nicely from the main dining room and only had moderate noise. We would definitely go back the next time we were in Phoenix.
Amazing food. Waaaay too loud in there. Not enjoyable and could not have a conversation
The food and service are always good here. The atmosphere is lively but not too loud. I like the privacy of the booths.
The food was really good and the service was exceptional! We will definitely be back!
Salmon Tartare is my favorite. Nice wine choices. Great neighborhood gathering place; opening the big patio doors to outside made it even better. Clifford provided excellent service. Burger was cooked as ordered. Roasted artichoke was very good.
All staff were friendly and efficient.
Everything about this place is amazing. The bacon stakes were a bacon lovers dream. Perfectly cooked with right amount of char. The crab cakes are the best thing west of Maryland, and the coconut cream pie was divine, not cloying sweet yet creamy and full of coconut flavor. I can hardly wait to go again.
Abnormal experience - typically much better service and food. Unfortunately just a bad night for the staff and kitchen.
We love The Collins. My only regret is that it took us 9 years of living here to discover The Collins and all of the other Common Ground Culinary restaurants. Every dish we’ve had is amazing and the service has been top notch at each visit.
The Collins continues to provide excellent food and service. A delightful experience every time.
We love restaurant week as it offers a menu one might not always explore.
The oysters were a good way to start, followed by the crab cakes, which were delicious. For desert, the chocolate mousse cake was excellent, and the coconut cream pie even better! We enjoyed all this with a nice glass of Sancerre. I almost forgot, the perfect martini was indeed perfect!
If anything, the restaurant was very loud, though a nice night with friends and great food nevertheless
Our first time visiting this restaurant although we have passed by this venue dozens of times. We were presently surprised at the quality of food served and the server, she was very professional and very attentive. We had the AZ Restaurant Week Fall 2021 menu. It was well worth the costs and time.
Lobster Roll was divine!!!
Everything from start to finish was exquisite! Plenty of parking, easy to find, was able to get to my table quickly,. Service was superb! Ambiance was top notch and the food was spectacular! Absolutely amazing restaurant and I’d definitely go back again and again!
One of the best margarita pizzas in all Phoenix! And coming Friday. An Italian. But honestly all the food is to notch! Won’t be upset!
Went to The Collins for Restaurant Week and it was excellent. Food, service, value, everything was top-notch.
Excellent! Love the place and Menu!
Ended sitting at the outward corner of their beautiful bar area instead of our reserved table. Perfect for being close and being able to face each other. The food and service were great! Also generous portions. Awesome experience!
Love this place!!
Always great service and great food! Seasonal peach cocktail was also very tasty.
