Slow service. When ordered apple pie with ice cream not custard did not expect to have custard scraped off and left on edge of pie and pie was cold. It also arrived a lot later than everyone else. Had roast beef which was so tough I was unable to cut it. Very disappointing.

Second time visited this pub. Once for dinner in a group and secondly 'last minute booking' for birthday lunch. Lovely pub, food was good, nice atmosphere & staff very cheerful and helpful. Only downside when we (a couple) went for lunch was waiting rather a long time for starters and then another long wait for the main. Hope fully this was a one-off.

Took advantage of the £5 per person special offer Roast Dinner on Sunday 21st Jan. This is the second time my family and I have been fortunate enough to sample this fantastic offer and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing value, lovely home cooked meal. Efficient and friendly staff, we were made to feel welcome and a cozy open fire added to the ambience. Will definitely be back.

We are regulars at the Cock... eat there every week, highly recommended. Great staff food and atmosphere... give it a try,you won't be disappointed.

Lovely relaxing, village pub where we immediately felt at home and very comfortable. Gorgeous fireplace, delish food and very friendly staff members. The locals were all very friendly and the owner took time to come over and chat. We didn't want to leave!

Always a pleasurable experience dining at the Cock. The food is excellent especially the delicious and varied starters . The staff are all very friendly and welcoming - no request is too much trouble. We would highly recommend this pub.
