Originally a historic US Coast Guard Station built in 1888 by famed architects McKim, Mead & White, now a spectacularly located waterfront restaurant overlooking Narragansett Bay. Offering an array of creative dishes from lobster & sweet corn tamale, lobster ravioli, grilled swordfish, lobster mac & cheese, & organic chicken; we supporting all aspects of sustainable agriculture and aquaculture. We use local farms when possible and source produce for quality and sustainability. Our seafood is sourced from purveyors that are dedicated to locating species from areas that produce the best tasting and highest quality seafood available.

    First time at this perfectly located restaurant. our waiter was excellent, attentive and very helpful. He offered many great suggestions. We had a wonderful dinner and this occasion was made really special.

    Well, when we first got there for dinner it was not looking good. The front staff was very overwhelmed. We were on time for our reservation. But it was a mad house, people were trying to check in 15, 20, 30 minutes ahead of their reservations. The older man of the front staff seemed eager to help. The younger woman of the front staff seemed as if she could care less. Goodness, fake it sweetie, you signed up to work in pretentious town. After waiting for a while an older woman stepped in to help the others who were literally drowning and we were seated. If it was not for our server the night would have been a loss. Thank you to our server, young man with ponytail! You saved the night.

    A must for your bucket list. Spectacular views, attentive and friendly service, a very extensive and complete wine list and excellent bourbon offerings. The food was spectacular. The raw bar offerings as fresh as can be. This 2 level resturant offers spectacular views. You're definitely going to return to this gem.

    I absolutely love this restaurant, however this time was very disappointing. I ordered the pork shank and it was extremely dry and overcooked. Barely was able to eat it. We had 2 servers. I mentioned to the back up server, she was not fazed. After a long workweek was looking forward to a night out and outstanding food. Just wouldn’t recommend pork shank. Hopefully next time will be better!

    We are never disappointed with our visit to the Coast Guard House. Smiling greeting from our hostess, great window table with a view of the ocean, friendly and competent server, outstanding meal (always), delicious dessert, topped off with a greeting from one of the managers. This place knows how to do it right.

    The hostess and the wait staff both wished the person I was bringing with me a Happy Birthday. She had never been to the Coast Guard House and was so impressed that they wished her a Happy Birthday. A very thoughtful gesture. The food was very good and our waiter was friendly and courteous. A very nice time.
