A really nice lunch for a special day out. However, hugely overpriced for what we had - 2 x sirloin, 2 x sauces, 2 x side dishes, 1 x bread, carafe of red to share, over £100. If you just order steak, that's all you get, not even a salad garnish. Don't get me wrong it was delicious and the service was attentive, but the micro itemised prices add up rapidly to make it a massive cost. A shame - £65/70 maybe would have seen us come back, but that'll be just our one visit!!

Stunning meal. One of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. Everything about our visit was perfect. Staff wonderful and food superb.

A real find. Great steaks perfectly cooked and a decent variety for those who are not great meat eaters. My wife's crab was delicious. A good small wine list and house wines were good value. Quite a small intimate place close to everything important in Brighton

Have been to the Coal Shed before. It didnt disappoint. A delcious meal of fish and steak. Daughter's birthday. Not cheap but worthy. A jewell in Brighton.
