Birthday dinner. Our server and the manager on that night was amazing! Great service all around and the food was delicious!
Excellent as always. Katie, the manager is especially excellent!
We had a fabulous meal and the service was first rate!
We celebrated our Anniversary there. It was just at the start of closings due to the Corona virus. The Coach House was a welcomed oasis from all the madness. I had a rib-eye which was cooked to perfection and my husband had a delicious, well spiced fish stew. Service was very good. If you are in the area this is a very good choice for a delicious dinner.
We were in NH to ski and were staying down the street. We made a reservation here and it was fantastic. I have celiac disease and was so impressed with all of the wonderful gluten free choices. The service and the food were excellent. We will definitely be back.
We always enjoy a night out at the New London Inn--Coach House restaurant. Food is delicious. Dining room warm and inviting. Staff always very nice.
We had a delightful meal for Valentine’s Day. Lamb chops and Red Snapper. My onion allergy was addressed graciously. Our server Katie was excellent. We even shared a chocolate crepe for dessert- delicious.
I cant say enough about our experience having dinner here on Feb 13 2020. Service was perfect. Food was as beautiful as was it delicious. I've seen some reviews here that say there wasnt enough food or the prices were high. I'm a big guy with a big appetite and found no problem with the portions of any of our choices. And even the prices,I mean this is not a chain with a dollar menu. It's an upscale restaurant with food made with a special kind of attention we love to enjoy. We will surely be back as soon as we can. Thank you so much for special food and wonderful atmosphere.
This is a very comfortable place to dine, especially in winter with the fireplace going. We had excellent service and both enjoyed our meals. The flourless chocolate torte with dark chocolate mousse (and a bit of ice cream) made for a perfect ending.
The food was excellent. I always enjoy an evening at the restaurant. The only reason for the service rating is unfortunately we had to ask the waitress for several things ( is bread). Not enough to keep me away though!
The host placed us at a lovely table in front of the fireplace and Sally who has waited on us several times was cheerful and competent. The food was fabulous and we truly enjoy every trip to the coach house.
This is the second year in a row that we have had our office dinner at the Coach House - absolutely fabulous! Food and beverages are outstanding and the menu has something for everyone. We'll be back!
WHILE THE ATMOSPHERE WAS FRIENDLY AND QUIET, THE SERVICE CORDIAL AND PROMPT, THE FOOD LEFT A LITTLE TO BE DESIRED. THE PUMPKIN RISOTTO WAS SENT BACK AS IT WAS NOT PREPARED TO REFLECT THE NAME OF THE ENTRE...IT WAS BLAND. TWO OTHER GUESTS ORDERED SWORDFISH AND ONE BEING AN AVID SALTWATER FISHERMAN SAW NO MARBLING IN THE FISH-COMMON TO THAT SPECIES. ALTHOUGH MY SALMON WAS TASTY, IT WAS RATHER DRY. DESSERTS WERE TASTY AND WELL RECEIVED.
Always a lovely place for dinner! The mussels and truffle fries are delicious and a great appetizer to share. The Cod with the crispy leeks is terrific. My husband enjoyed the pan seared scallops. The service is excellent and the staff is so friendly and helpful . We have been enjoying dinning here for many years and love to bring our children and grandchildren here.
The food and service are consistently good. We dine here 6-8 times a year and have yet to have a bad experience.
Very pleased with our experience
We have enjoyed our meals here in the past, but this time we were underwhelmed. The lobster "bisque" was a watery soup with no discernible pieces of lobster. The horseradish crusted cod did not taste like it had any horseradish in it. The scallops did not have a very rich taste to them. The pork chop was tasted and liked by everyone. Our server was kind and patient with us while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive.
Excellent food and service! The staff is always very pleasant.
Delicious meals as usual. Anica is a great server who was attentive to our needs. Meal had a nice pace. We didn't feel rushed, but got our courses in a timely manner. We will definitely be back!
Appetizer salads are too large.
Excellent filet minon and toasted coconut dessert!
My husband ordered the lamb and cavatini dish. The meat was so salty that he could not eat it. I ordered the horseradish encrusted cod, which I have had there before. The fish was okay, but the crust was soggy and tasteless. The other times I've had this dish it was topped with onion straws that were very tasty. This dish had some unidentifiable things on top that looked like grass or weeds. They were not great.
So, all in all, it was quite a disappointing birthday dinner. I am in no hurry to return.
It was a delicious meal!
Attractive traditional restaurant, furniture and settings casual (the flatware needs an upgrade). A standard menu with some interesting variations. We did not have much luck on initial glasses of California Chardonnay and starters, but the entrees were excellent: perfect medium rare salmon over faro with sweet garnish and salt crusted cod also cooked as it should be. Top quality, portions a bit large. The wine list is focused but limited. Fortunately, there are moderately priced fine bottles and we had an amazing California Pinot served in grand large glasses. Very good deserts.
We had an excellent meal, food beautifully plated, service attentive.
We were in area on vacation and heard of how good this restaurant was. We went two nights.
Lovely and welcoming hostesses both nights!
On our first visit had an amazing waiter and just superb service.
Second visit service was a bit curt and not as good at all. Not unpleasant, but waitress not friendly or accommodating. A big disappointment after Thomas, out first waiter.
But food is stellar and they have a good wine list. Chef likes things a bit spicy, but you can ask for it to be not so spicy, and they are glad to accommodate.
On our second night, We had the filets and they were superb!
We Highly !!! recommend this restaurant.
Always a great meal. Cod with crispy leeks delicious, truffle French fries and mussels are a must to start
As usual our service was very good and timely. The food was also very good- definitely one of the better restaurants in town!
The Coach House has always been a favorite destination for us and it never disappoints!
Always a pleasant experience, good service, nice range of choices on the menu, reasonable wine list.
Coach House is our favorite place to eat in the New London area.
The food is always good and their staff professional.
The ambiance of the old inn is welcoming and it is quiet enough to hear your dinned partners.
So enjoy the New London Inn restaurant! Food and service was. wonderful. Just one issue-it typically is a quiet place to dine but there was one very loud table of guests. I had a hard time hearing my dinner partner’s conversation.
Food was good. The watermelon gazpacho was ok. Field green salad was delicious. The tuna poke was very good. The chicken was good.. a little too saucy for me. Ambiance was delightful. We had the whole room to ourselves by the window facing the garden. Just lovely though over air conditioned. The cobbler dessert was good. My friend had the burger which was very good with truffle fries. Everyone but me liked the flavor of the truffle fries.
Our party of 3 each had different things and all of them were attractively presented and delicious. The flavors complimented each dish. All were interesting and all plates returned to the kitchen empty. Service was prompt. Gardens outside the window lovely. Wonderful evening. Wonderful food.
It was our second visit & the food was as fabulous as it was the first time!!! I am gluten-free & they were very accommodating. We travel to that area once a year & we plan to eat there every time!
Wonderful service. Great food
Dining at the Inn is always a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it!!
A good variety in the menu, good food and presentation with a wonderful atmosphere and a great view of the green if you can get window seating.
Ambience and service was very good. The food was mediocre at best and not a good value for the price. My wife and I had the seafood chowder special. It was neither hot when served or flavorful. My lemon chicken was fine, not great. My wife had the duck ordered medium rare. It was served with wings still flapping. It had to be returned to cook more. A friend at another table had the same experience with the duck. Moreover, the duck was not crispy. Nice atmosphere for dinner out but not worth the price.
Great restaurant and great service!! Love this place..
We made reservation at this restaurant for my graduation. It located in a pretty nice area with plenty of on site parking. The ambience is quite romantic and cozy, prefect for dates and special occasions.
They greeted us and led us to our table right away and the server was so attentive. And the food..omg so delicious! We ordered the braised pork, seared duck, and filet mignon. Good portion size and well executed. We had such a wonderful time. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice night out and great food.
