I love this place and we go often, but this time the service was not the best, the temperature went up to beyond warm and the lights went from dark to light to so dark one could not see the food in front of us. We are members of their rewards program so we will go back but hope for a better experience next time
I absolutely love the Clubhouse especially the Sunday Brunch. It was my mother’s 75th bday and we wanted to celebrate it somewhere with good food at a reasonable rate. Our server was awesome and very attentive. All of our 20 guest enjoyed the ambiance and the view that the restaurant offers. We will definitely return again soon.
With a reservation, and asking 3 times if we were remembered, we still waited a half hour to be seated.
There were plenty of empty tables yet we were told they needed a few minutes to get a table ready. At last we were directed to follow upstairs, but we pointed out that was for the buffet, while we had specified off the menu. Checking the computer, they saw their mistake and gestured to the dining area saying, “sit wherever you want.”
A caring manager came over and did take time to listen to what happened and also explained the factors contributing to the delay in seating. He offered gratis dessert, which we didn’t want but the gesture was nice. Overall, with so many service oriented OB restaurants, we don’t feel inclined to recommend or return to The Clubhouse again.
Went for Sunday brunch
The oysters were terrible could not eat slimy , the smoke salmon had a strong fish smell shrimp and crab claws were ok
The carving station was great and so was the omelette station
The remaining was good
We were celebrating a Birthday they were giving a desert with candle but we were still on main course
We love going to brunch on Sundays at the club house! Food is really good and there's a wide spread. We especially love the seafood selection. A little pricey so we only go every once and a while.
There are better places to go. Last second decision. Hadn't been there in years, now I know why. A little update would help
It's always a pleasure eating at Clubhouse. This time with my three girls we just did it on the spur of the moment and it was extremely enjoyable. Even though they don't have the chicken pot pie on their regular menu every day which is a little upsetting but now I know to call ahead to find out when it will be available. We will be back thank you
Menu not very good and the were out of the dish that two of us wanted at the table.
Food was average not what we expected. will probably not go back
I think our server had more tables than she could handle. She didn't stop by hardly at all. She didn't ask how I wanted my steak (on a salad) and it was well done (I prefer medium rare). Otherwise, the food was really good and the scene was lively. We had a reservation and sat right away. Our booth was a lovely corner and we were able to talk easily.
I went for the Sunday brunch and the food is good but not great. The service was great! The price ($33.94) was a little too pricey to me though. I do recommend the restaurant overall.
Food was good but way to crowded for 10 am. 2 large parties and a lack of direction around the buffet tables made for a very mixed up traffic jam trying to get food. Andrew our server did well but was also being pushed around by people going every which way.
Waiter was good, but not over the top. He was working hard, but didn't feel that special guest feeling and when you spend that money you want to be treated awesome. Again nice guy and I'm sure he is good. One recommendation is teach waiters to stand across from you or adults not next to you because it makes for easier/ better communication. We sat close to kitchen and there was a cool breeze, but I get that if kitchen is hot. Usually "really nice restaurants" sends out or used to send $50 for birthdays and anniversaries which I have both in March, but I haven't received anything. Do you still send these? We usually come twice in March but not sure if we will be back for anniversary. I came for the ribeye, which is awesome but the mushrooms I added kinda ruined it. Also the wine selection for Pinot Nior could have better wine without a huge price. Meiomi goes great with steak. It was good, but last time was better.
Great food!! Good service! The server was efficient and polite - helpful in choosing items.
Great service. Boring overpriced food. This place is in a large mall with lots of other, better, food choices. Do yourself the favor and go anyplace else but here. The food comes in large portions and lacks one key element....flavor. Everything is just bland. So sad.
I little pricey but overall very good Even better when you are a member of their frequent dinner club
I met a friend for dinner before heading to Drury Lane. We enjoyed our meals.
Our waiter was very accommodating. He actually listened when we asked not to have all our courses brought at once. Respected our privacy. The lobster bisque was outstanding!!!
Had rice krispie chicken in my salad and loved it! brought a friend there for the first time and she liked the overall experience as well.
Our waiter was excellent!
We are (were) 'valued members). Our favorite dish is the PRIME RIB, we have had it 4 times in the past. On this occasion, the Prime Rib appeared to be a very low quality selection! It was noway near the quality of or past experiences. WE also enjoyed the ambience in the past....this time the music was too loud vs the background it was in the past. Our server was very attentive.
I feel very disappointed to provide this unacceptable survey, but I give you credit for allowing me the opportunity for the opportunity.
The restaurant was as it always is. The only problem for me was we had an 8:30 seating which is the last one and while we were not rushed we felt as if we needed to eat and get out of the way. The entrees were brought before we were half way through with our salads because the kitchen had to finish up and our food was prepared and had to be brought to the table.
Food delicious. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. An order to go was timed perfectly with the lunch experience. A favorite spot to meet my bestie for good food and attention without being rushed.
A very good and comfortable dimng experience. Good brunch for family. Lots of choices. Also good for business meals.
One of my favorite places in OAKBROOK. It’s a big place but it’s always well organized. I rarely ever have to wait long to be seated for a reservation or for my dinner to be served. The servers are always attentive and the food is delicious.
Had Prime Rib & Portabello Burger. Mashed Potatoes were wonderful. Prime Rib was flavorful, not so much with the Brussel Sprouts. The Apple Bread Pudding was missing Apple. The highlight of the evening was pre dinner cocktails at the bar. Richard, the bartender is the BEST. He’s very professional & knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a properly prepared cocktail....see Richard.
Overall it was okay. However the hostess staff is a bit incompetent. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated even though there were open tables. Then sat us next to kitchen which had shellfish smell lofting in the air. I’m allergic to shellfish airborne and asked to be moved. That confused them and then sat us in another location that was just as bad. I had to go downstairs and wait to be seated there where there was no smell. Some of the hostess staff was on there cell phones and just standing there doing nothing. Food was good and waiter was excellent.
Always a good time there
Great food, good service, but really loud atmosphere. Other restaurants stack up better than this place.
Been to The Club House a few times before so I know what to expect. What I didn't expect was the cold greetings. Table of 5 my co-worker and I were first to arrive. 3 women at the hostess stand stood there stoned face cold. I said my name and that there was a reservation for 5 at noon and all they said was "Let us know when the rest of the party arrives". Not "welcome to The Club House" or "while you wait would you like to sit at the bar or can I have someone bring you a drink" or " have you dined with us before". When the rest of our party arrived they said to go upstairs for our table and pointed. With 3 hostesses I would suggest they lead their diners up stairs. Got to the top of the stairs and another "stoned-faced" hostess pointed at the table directly to the right of the stairs right in front of her (there were tons of tables available) and said that is our table. Well 2 seats were fairly confined by a colum and the bannister that seperates the stairs from the dinning room so I asked if we could have the table next to it which was not confined and, again, "stoned-faced", she said fine. We sat ourselves at the table which was set for six. I would have said "Yes, you may. Just let me reset the table for 5. It will be just a moment". Once we sat, she came over with menus and she gave me a menu first, then my co-worker, second. I am old fashioned and I would have given to the 2 ladies at our table first.
AFTER THAT....everything was absolutely wonderful. Jody, a male server, was fantastic, personable and very attentive. The food was tremendous. I had the Seafood Cobb Salad and the shrimp and crab meat were terrific. Others, had the Grilled Salmon Salad, the Salmon Club, a Cobb Salad and fantastic Chicken Pot Pie. Everything was great. If I owned the place or was the GM, I would either retrain the Hostesses or fire them. I would give the Chef and Jody raises. I'll be back, hoping the Chef and Jody are there and the hostesses are gone.
Chicken piccata was the best I've had. The raspberry cheesecake was a home run! Our server Jody is my favorite!
The Club House is an absolute, wonderful restaurant. Great food, Service and atmosphere.
The Clubhouse serves well as an weekend lunching place w/ personality. Decorated as a sedated circus, the service is consistent, the food has its highlights, (apps: mushroom carpaccio is NOT to be missed & dessert: salted caramel crème brûlée—delightful), & the atmosphere, while busy, is relaxed. Be prepared to pay: 3 courses for 2 of us was $93 w/o tip.
Went up for Sunday brunch we were promptly seated our drink orders were placed and we were free to browse. The food selections were excellent from cold salads to the carving station's prime rib. and served in portions which allowed sampling of many different options. The wait staff was very attentive through the meal without hovering. Overall a great experience for me and my girlfriend.
Came in to celebrate my mom's birthday and the group enjoyed dining very much. I wish I remembered our waiter's name but he was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we all had a great time. I will come back for other special occasions.
We have usually enjoyed the Clubhouse and have gone there many times over the past 10+ years. The food was very good. The wine list could use a little improvement with a few more selections by the glass. Our server, although very polite, mostly ignored us unless we made an extra effort to get his attention. Not sure if that was because we wanted to relax and start a glass of Wine before ordering or something else. He seemed to give all of his other tables a lot more attention than us.
Very good as usual
Waiter errored numerous times . I wanted ice tea, he brought Sprite. I ordered angel hair pasta and got a different pasta. They kept Wanting to take my plates before we were done.
Overall good food and experience!
Good Food - Good Service -Good Value - Great Atmosphere
I chose this restaurant for lunch because of its proximity to Oakbrook Center shopping mall. It's a beautiful place. The staff was welcoming and the food was excellent. I ordered the buffalo shrimp salad and it was very tasty. The portion size was enormous!
Good good and outstanding service - busy so a little loud.
