The Clubhouse - Oak Brook
In addition to our lunch and dinner menus, we offer an impressive Buffet Brunch on Sundays, including Father's Day and other holidays.
Valentine’s Day celebration - my steak (“the Steak”) was sinewy and unseasoned. Service was slow. Table was tiny and jammed up to adjacent tables. Felt like we were on a double date with the couple next to us. Family at table next to us had four kids who were well behaved, but being so close made our dinner less romantic. Our waitress never checked on how our food was, and didn’t ask if we wanted more wine. The space has no acoustic treatment which makes it hard to have a conversation. Will not be back.
It was very underwhelming.
The food was good! Flavors were good. But we weren't seated until 20 minutes at least after our reservation time.
Also I felt super rushed with our server... I understand that it was a busy night, but it was valentines day and it's supposed to be a nice and romantic night. That took away from our dinner a little bit. Otherwise, the food and the prices weren't bad!
I probably wouldn't come back...
Food took forever. Table next to us had sat an hour before us and were just getting their appetizers when we sat down - didn’t even get their bread. All food was cold. Drinks took forever. Ruined our Valentines Day. Will not be back.
Service keeps getting worse every time we try this place. Be prepared to wait and wait and wait. Even between courses or to get a drink etc.
Valentine’s Day disaster! Service was awful, drinks took 20-30 min to get, food took forever to get even though we didn’t order an appetizer then came out cold to Luke warm! The people next to us sat down after us and we’re done before us and they had appetizers! Took the desert to go since we were there for over 2 hours! We will never go back!
Over cooked prime rib, great service. Love the atmosphere
We love coming here. Food is amazing and the service is great!
Good service. Cocktails were good, too. Wonderful ambiance. We sat in "the bar" which did was well designed and comfortable. Food was very good. It's hard to find a good steak, but they did a nice job.
My husbands steak was too done, no taste. Dessert was delicious.
Service was very very slow. The waiter was not very knowledgeable about the menu. My lobster as well as my daughters were over cooked almost to the point of being rubbery and a bit hard. My daughters steak was perfection while mine was overcooked. We just ate our food because it took so long to get the meal and the waiter was never around. Other tables around us who came after us received their meal before we did.
Our vegetables were delicious as well as the rice pilaf. And my granddaughter had the mini burgers which came out fine.
Incredible service. Loved it. I will be coming back in the future.
We eat at Clubhouse usually 4 times a year. If this had been my first visit I would not be returning. My wife had her usual-the lobster dish that was as good as usual-but I ordered the Restaurant Week special. My salmon was so small and the asparagus was 3 partial slices of asparagus. It was a rip-off despite the special price. When I have had the salmon lunch before, I left full and with half my salmon in a doggy bag for that evening's dinner. Our waitress was very nice and I do not blame her. What was I to say-send this back because the portions are so much smaller than what we always get at lunch-and I am leaving still hungry.
Mich, We do apologize for the size perception on the salmon. I want to assure you and I did speak with the Executive Chef that the salmon is hand cut and each piece is weighed out. We only featured the Salmon on our Lunch Restaurant week. The lunch portion for the Salmon is 6oz and the dinner portion is larger at 8oz. If you would have ordered the items individually on our lunch menu it comes to $31 and we had the Restaurant Week special priced at $24. That comes out to a $8 saving or 26%.
Server was excellent. Barramundi was very good. A little too much garlic in the pesto, but overall very enjoyable. Lobster bisque was best I ever had. Special kudos to our server who struck the right balance between being attentive but not intrusive . I eat here often and am never disappointed.
Clubhouse never disappoints when it’s comes to Sunday Brunch!
Went for the brunch buffet and it was very good!
Crab claws, oysters, salads, french toast, dessert buffet, carving station to name some highlights.
The waffles were amazing, brown sugar crust was a great touch.
For a large party over 12, there should be a private dining accommodation for the comfort of other customers and for the privacy of the larger party.
the Sunday brunch we attened was terrific. All the food was fresh. service excellent. a very great experience.
Bartender awesome , service good . Only complaint my salmon was a little dry
Simply stated: the best restaurant in the Chicago suburbs, if not Chicago period. Amazing food - the best steak you'll ever have. Amazing service too!
We had a very enjoyable evening on Saturday night.
We visited the Clubhouse for restaurant week and will be returning.
The food and service was very good. Our waiter Domenic was very helpful and attentive.
We cannot wait for our next visit to The Clubhouse.
The Clubhouse offers a variety of entrees but it can be a very pricey menu if two are selecting
expensive dishes beginning at over $30. + drinks, appetizers, etc. The quality is definitely evident
in all the small aspects of the presentations. We both felt they should bring back the "meatloaf tree"
entree of the past which was a true delight and fantastic tasting too !
Had a great dinner during restaurant week. Awesome value for the special with no sacrifice in the food.
Much to noisy!!!
I don't understand the wait staff. There appeared to be order takers, (usually women) and ours was helpful and good, men in white chef's jackets who among other thing seemed to deliver food, and a third group also men dressed in black, who mostly seemed to buss tables. Some of the men dressed in white were less than cordial.
This place is great for brunch but also lunch or dinner. My mom loves coming here for her birthday
Easy to find with lots of parking. But, not a good lunch place for gal pals. They tried to sit us between 2 tables of 6 kids. Are they kidding? The place was empty. The other option was next to the ONE restroom. One of us had the restaurant week special and that was good. The other had the appetizer chicken lettuce wrap. Too much liquid and the toughest lettuce. Difficult to eat, even with the spoon. What a mess. The service was good, the waiter was attentive. Lighting was good, noise level fine, once the kids left. A little pricey for a lunch. Might return, but would get something else to eat. Nothing special.
Haven’t been there in years. If we would have known the lower level was an actual club we might have not gone it was way too loud and lots of unruly drunk people riding the elevator up to use the bathrooms in the dining area. Otherwise food was good, service excellent.
I thought I was going to a restaurant but it turned out to be a modern version of a disco complete with deafening music. I was told that the upstairs dining area was quiet. Wrong. It was as loud as downstairs. Even when I was ushered to a “club” room, the pulsating beat from downstairs vibrated the floor. Very bad experience.
Eddie, We do apologize. You happened to come on our First Friday promotion. One time a month our venue turns the first floor into a "nightclub" scene. This happen s every 1st Friday of every month. I will be honest, when I first got here 2 years ago, I was told about this monthly event and I was a bit skeptical, but actually seeing it, its a lot of fun. Thank you, Jim Olson
I came there to celebrate a birthday. We had a table on the second floor. Then we moved downstairs for the DJ. I had left my boyfriends $600 coat and mine on a chair around us. Then we were about to leave coats are gone. Talked to the manager and he really didn't do anything. Bad service. I spent a lot of money there. Not recommend to go there. Looks like thieves come there to steal. Not safe.
Tomas, My name is Jim and I am the Director of Operations at the Clubhouse. I am sorry to hear about the loss of the jacket. I know our team searched for it. But as you also know, we are not responsible for guests leaving items in the restaurant. Best Regards Jim Olson
Lobster bisque was great. Everything else was just ok. Went for a restaurant week, didn't turn out to be a great value for the money. Dessert was so tiny it basically didn't count.
Tables are too close together. Service was lackluster.
A friend and myself were there for Restaurant Week and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We both had plenty to eat and took home leftovers. A great wine list completed our meal.
Frank is an outstanding server
Poor service and average quality of food.
Server was helpful with suggestions. Also, offered information on the evening's specials.
I had a great salad with tuna. It was prepared to my specifications. I was very pleased with my meal. My daughter and parents dined with me as well. My dad enjoyed his burger, mother enjoyed her turkey sandwich and my daughter had the chicken sandwich. They were happy we chose to go there.
I really enjoy dining here. It’s not usually uncomfortably crowded and the music is great ;-)
Good service, good food, very clean and the cost can be affordable depending on what you order
The restaurant week options were amazing and we even added the mimosas during brunch. Great time !
I indicated on my reservation that we were celebrating my husband's 50th birthday but there was NO indication that they noted this. Food was delicious but I wouldn't recommend for special occasions as it would seem they don't really care.
First time visitor for my wife & I. We really loved the food but we were even more impressed with the fact that we could have a conversation without telling across the table at each other. We are definitely coming back!!!
