The Cliffdiver serves coastal inspired Mexican food in a tropical surrounding meant to transport our guests to a beach resort on pacific coast of Mexico. The venue features a separate dining room and bar while also offering ample patio seating. Our menu features the ultra popular Lobster Tacos, Poke Tostadas and shrimp ceviche amongst other popular dishes. Our drinks include a variety of margaritas and tequilas as well as signature cocktails that such as an Añejo tequila based old fashioned (El Viejo) and a variety of local beers.

We were able to reserve a table on Cinco de Mayo the day before! Packed for the holiday. Our table was a bit late so we ate at the bar. Excellent Cadillac Margarita and great food. Thank you Cliffdiver!

We met up with friends and all enjoyed everything we ordered: cocktails to start, ceviche and octopus (cooked perfectly). Several of us ordered the lobster tacos which were delicious - generous portions and tasty flavors. Service was excellent as well and the ambiance was great. Only - very minor - note for improvement would be to have a hostess stand at the back entrance - it took a few minutes to figure out who to talk to and check in for our reservation. But once we did we really had a great experience. We will be back soon!

Food and drinks were tasty. Service was dysfunctional. Drinks took an hour to get. Wait staff did not make eye contact. Had to get ourselves water refills. Manager needed to run front of the house.

We enjoyed our visit to Cliffdiver. The Lobster Enchiladas were very good as was the service. The sauce on the enchiladas was quite bland and could have used more spice. I would also suggest that the menu include a dinner salad or a small mixed green salad as a side dish. We are happy to see a new restaurant in Thousand Oaks that seems successful.

A cozy and authentic looking restaurant, with good food, attentive service, and a lounge type ambience. This location was several other restaurants in the past - Italian, Himalayan, Indian, and now Mexican. Overall, I recommend this restaurant for casual dining.
